No. Each page can be written in a different programming language if you want, even in the same application. If you are creating source code files and putting them in the \App_Code folder to be compiled at run time, all the code in must be in the same language. However, you can create subfolders in the \App_Code folder and use the subfolders to store components written in different programming languages. (More...)

What is the difference between "using System.Data;" and directly adding the reference from "Add References Dialog Box"?

When you compiles a program using command line, u add the references using /r switch. When you compile a program using Visual Studio, it adds those references to our assembly, which are added using "Add Reference" dialog box. While "using" statement facilitates us to use classes without using their fully qualified names.

For example: if u have added a reference to "System.Data.SqlClient" using "Add Reference" dialog box then u can use SqlConnection class like this:

But if u add a "using System.Data.SqlClient" statement at the start of ur code then u can directly use SqlConnection class.

On the other hand if u add a reference using "using System.Data.SqlClient" statement, but don't add it using "Add Reference" dialog box, Visual Studio will give error message while we compile the program. (More...)

Explain inline, embedded and external style sheets .

There are three ways of inserting a style sheet:

1. External style sheet
2. Internal style sheet
3. Inline style

External Style Sheet :
An external style sheet is ideal when the style is applied to many pages.
With an external style sheet, you can change the look of an entire Web site by changing one file.
Each page must link to the style sheet using the tag. The tag goes inside the head section:

Internal Style Sheet :
An internal style sheet should be used when a single document has a unique style. Internal styles sheet needs to put in the head section of an HTML page, by using the

Inline Styles :
If only a small piece of code has to be styled then inline style sheets can be used.
An inline style loses many of the advantages of style sheets by mixing content with presentation.
To use inline styles you use the style attribute in the relevant tag.
The style attribute can contain any CSS property.
The example shows how to change the color and the left margin of a paragraph:

This is a paragraph.

What is embedded style? How to link?

The HEAD area, where the TITLE and META tags are found, is also used to store CSS commands.
These are called embedded CSS. Any embedded CSS command will over-ride an external CSS command of the same tag. Embedded commands are more specific to the page.

Embedded CSS codes are placed within the HEAD area of the page code. That is anywhere after the tag and before the tag. NOT in the HEAD tag itself.

Now, whenever any of those elements are used within the body of the document, they will be formatted as instructed in the above style sheet. (More...)
