How do we join the values in an array?
What is the difference between ARRAY and STACK?
STACK follows LIFO. Thus the item that is first entered would be the last removed.
In array the items can be entered or removed in any order. Basically each member access is done using index. No strict order is to be followed here to remove a particular element.
Why do we Use a Multidimensional Array?
A multidimensional array can be useful to organize subgroups of data within an array. In addition to organizing data stored in elements of an array, a multidimensional array can store memory addresses of data in a pointer array and an array of pointers.
Multidimensional arrays are used to store information in a matrix form.
e.g. a railway timetable, schedule cannot be stored as a single dimensional array.
One can use a 3-D array for storing height, width and length of each room on each floor of a building.
What is Thread.Join() in threading ?
There are two versions of Thread.Join :-
. Thread.join(Integer) this returns a Boolean value.
The Thread.Join method is useful for determining if a thread has completed before starting another task. The Join method waits a specified amount of time for a thread to end. If the thread ends before the time-out, Join returns true; otherwise it returns False. Once you call Join, the calling procedure stops and waits for the thread to signal that it is done.
Example you have "Thread1" and "Thread2" and while executing 'Thread1" you call "Thread2.Join()".So "Thread1" will wait until "Thread2" has completed its execution and the again invoke "Thread1".
Thread.Join(Integer) ensures that threads do not wait for a long time. If it exceeds a specific time which is provided in integer the waiting thread will start.
How do I invite users to join a Windows SharePoint Services Site? Is the site secure?
SharePoint-based Web sites can be password-protected to restrict access to registered users, who are invited to join via e-mail. In addition, the site administrator can restrict certain members' roles by assigning different permission levels to view post and edit.
What's the difference between the System.Array.CopyTo() and System.Array.Clone() in c#?
The first one performs a deep copy of the array, the second one is shallow.
Best Method to retrieve two values from Database (SQL Server)
ExecuteNonQuery() using Output parameter.
What Are the Generic Methods of System.Array?
The System.Array type is extended with many generic static methods. The generic static methods are designed to automate and streamline common tasks of working with arrays, such as iterating over the array and performing an action on each element, scanning the array looking for a value that matches a certain criteria (a predicate), converting and sorting the array, and so on. Below is a partial listing of these static methods
How can you sort the value of the array in descending order?
First call Sort() and then Reverse() methods.
What's the difference between the System.Array.CopyTo() and System.Array.Clone()?
The Clone() method returns a new array (a shallow copy) object containing all the elements in the original array. The CopyTo() method copies the elements into another existing array. Both perform a shallow copy. A shallow copy means the contents (each array element) contains references to the same object as the elements in the original array. A deep copy (which neither of these methods performs) would create a new instance of each element's object, resulting in a different, yet identacle object.
What do you call a comparison operator used in a Join '='
Can you control concatenation of string values with null values?
Concatenation of string values with null values results either null value or string value.
We can control that by setting CONCAT_NULL_YIELDS_NULL on or off.
When it is set to ON, the concatenation will result null and when it is set to OFF, it will result the string.
Setting it ON,
SET CONCAT_NULL_YIELDS_NULL on;
print 'testing' + NULL; --results NULL and prints nothing
Setting it OFF,
SET CONCAT_NULL_YIELDS_NULL off;
print 'testing' + NULL; -- results testing and prints the same
When Grouping is added to the query NULL values in the grouped colimn are included in the Result Set?
INNER JOIN cannot be used without the
