ASP.NET with AJAX is basci now days....it is easy to learn ans no extra configration is req. Also now client side installtion... so ASP.NET with AJAX best..

Asp.Net with AJAX is used in many web application. It contains more feature compare to asp.net(Basic) and silverlight. WPF and WCF are latest version of .Net. So that, many developers does not know more about WPF and WCF.

Because when technology come into picture some things are not handle by programmer. for example if you use simple ajax instead of .net ajax you got 80% more speed. And you can do anything.
