Dear Sir I got the following errors while upgrading from MOSS 2007 to SP 2010: [powershell] [SPContentDatabaseSequence] [ERROR] [8/29/2010 3:27:22 PM]: Found 45 web(s) using missing web template 75820 (lcid: 1033) in ContentDatabase PortalDB. The missing site definition may cause upgrade to fail. Please install any solution which contains the site definition and restart upgrade if necessary. We were using/installed ProjectTracking Workspace as the only FAB40 template. I already installed ApplicationCore.wsp and ProjecTrackingWorkspace.wsp before the upgrade begin We are a Not for profit Educational establishment, Your support is very much welcome. Second Question: If I remove these FAB40 templates from MOSS2007 environment, will the upgrade be successful?

Meeting Workspace unusable after SharePoint upgrade to 2010

Hello, We recently took a content database from MOSS 2007 and attached it to a SharePoint 2010 farm that uses a different DNS name. Now, there's a user who had a recurring meeting configured in Outlook 2010 with a meeting workspace  who can no longer use the workspace now that it only exists on SharePoint 2010. She tried removing the link to the old workspace from her recurring meeting and adding a new location using the new URL, but she gets a message saying a workspace already exists at the site. Obviously it does, but the meeting in Outlook is the same meeting. Is there any way to re-connect the Outlook meeting with the meeting workspace that exists on the new SharePoint 2010 server? Thanks.

Upgrade Solution using a .wsp file created from a site template

Hello, I'm creating a new site template that I will need to move from my development to production server. I have saved the template as a .wsp file and installed it on my staging server without any problems. However, I know once the site goes into production that changes will occur and I will need to upgrade the site template. I have tried to make changes to my development site and save a new site template, and then move to my staging server and upgrade the existing solution using the below PowerShell command, but I get an error that the GUIDS are different and the solution cannot be upgraded. Command: Update-SPUserSolution -Identity MyTemplate v1.wsp -Site http://webapplication/site  -ToSolution MyTemplate v2.wsp Error: Update-SPUserSolution : Given solution cannot be upgraded to the provided ToSolution because the solutions have different Guids. Does anyone know how I would upgrade the solution when using a site template as the bases for the solution? Thanks, wm5

Hi, I have a list in MOSS2007 and I want to save it as a template to use it in SharePoint 2010. But, the problem we can't use stp file in SP2010. So, did you have idea about creating wsp package in 2007 for existing List ? I have seen this article but it talk about Discussion List Feature. Thanks

Possible bug in SP2010 - Managed metadata column and STP document library template

Hello I have a problem with managed metadata on two different servers and would like to ask you to try it.

I assume you have managed metadata service running.

1, Open some document library in some site
2, Create column - managed metadata type and select some termset and set it as required.

3, Upload a document and fill in metadata when you will be asked.

4, Then edit properties and check, that metadata are there.

5, Save this library as template.

6, Deploy document library from this template and try steps 3+4.

My problem is, you can select metadata, but they are not saved. e.g. when you check document properties managed metadata are not there.

Can you confirm this behavior ?
Thank you very much.

P.S.: one more weird thing. If you do metadata filling using office 2010 compatible application. Metadata remain there, but they are not visible in document library properties.

SP2010 Upgrade Error: Missing Reusable Content Types

During the in-place upgrade from MOSS2007 to SharePoint 2010, I experienced the following issue for numerous site collections.  Even though these were errors, the configuration wizard completed with Errors stating that there were some sites not fully upgraded.

I cannot determine how to resolve this error and complete the content database upgrade.   Thanks in advance.

In the Upgrade-YYYYMMDD-######-##-error.log file, the following details were logged for about 15 different site collections:

SP2010 inplace upgrade - leaves MOSS 2007 installed

Is it right that MOSS 2007 would remain installed in the Add/Remove programs listing after an in-place upgrade to SharePoint 2010?

I think this is causing issues with my ability to run a command to enable DPM to backup my farm.  (../dpm/bin/configuresharepoint.exe -EnableSharePointProtection)

IT Workspace upgrade to SP 2010 issue

After doing a database upgrade (WSS 3.0 to SP2010 Enterprise) the Knowledge Base Article content type from the IT Workspace site definition (From the FAB 40) is not working.  The items created with this content type will not render properly the page is blank and when attempting to create new items the create page is also blank.  Does anyone have a fix for this yet.

Missing "Include Content" checkbox when creating Project Workspace template.

I'm trying to use an existing project workspace to create a custom template. This workspace includes standard content that I'd like to include in the template for use in future project workspaces. However, when I go to "Save site as template" I don't get the option to "Include Content" like I see when creating a template for a site or sub-site. Any clue why I can't include content for a project workspace template? MOSS 2007.

what are the List Types for lists in the IT Team Workspace template

What is the list type for the lists in the IT Team workspace?  I wanted to use a CQWP to retreive data but neither "Custom", "Tasks", "Project Tasks" nor "Issue Tracking" worked.

I created my own "Custom", "Tasks", "Project Tasks" and "Issue Tracking" within my IT Team Workspace and the CQWP drew that data (as I had it set to draw the type from the entire site).  So clearly there are no Customs, Tasks, Project Tasks and Issue Tracking types in the IT Team Workspace template.

Thanks for your advice.

How to Upgrade MOSS SSO Provider to SP2010 Secure Store Provider

Does anyone know how to register a custom secure store provider with the SP2010 Secure Store service application?

We are upgrading a custom MOSS 2007 SSO provider to Secure Store and I know that we have to implement the ISecureStoreProvider interface but I cannot find anything on how to configure SharePoint to use our custom Secure Store provider.
