add new synchronization connection unable to process Put message

Environment is Server 2008 SP2, SQL Server 2008 CU2, Sharepoint 2010. Both Forefront services are started. I go to create the sync connection, select AD, use an account that has replication permissions. Populate containers works fine, select a container and click OK. After a bit, I get 'unable to process Put message'. Event logs, application show this error: Microsoft.ResourceManagement.Service: Microsoft.ResourceManagement.ResourceManagementException: Exception from HRESULT: 0x80230516 ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80230516): Exception from HRESULT: 0x80230516 at MIISRCW.IMMSServer.SetMVData(String pszMVDataXML) at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.SyncConfig.ModifyMVData(String mvDataXml) at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.ActionProcessor.SyncConfigActionProcessor.Update(Guid objectId, CultureInfo locale, IList`1 updateParameters, Guid cause) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.ActionProcessor.SyncConfigActionProcessor.Update(Guid objectId, CultureInfo locale, IList`1 updateParameters, Guid cause) at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.ActionProcessor.SyncConfigActionProcessor.ProcessInputRequest(RequestType request) at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.ActionProcessor.ActionDispatcher.ProcessInputRequest(RequestType request) at Microsoft.ResourceManagement.WebServices.RequestDispatcher.ExecuteAction(RequestType request) at Mi

User Profile Synchronization - Creating AD Connection "Unable to process Create message"

Hi,

I have the following error when I try to create a new synchronization connection:  "Unable to process Create message".  Microsoft reports this error as being due to a SUN LDAP error which does not make sense.  While we do have some SUN machines in our environment, I used an LDAP browser to confirm that the Windows AD LDAP  was returning information fine.  We are using a mixed Windows 2008 R2/Windows 2003 domain.

I've searched the internet for the solution and have tried all suggestions.  Have tried recreating the User Profile Service.  Have tried not using the wizard and set everything up manually according to the "Rational User Profile" blog.  Have done as much as I can think of.

Any help would be awesome and very appreciated.

The recurring errors in the Event Log are 3 errors:

FIMSynchronizationService Event 6303

Forefront Identity Manager Event 3 (occurs twice)

Here are the verbage for each error

Execute Process task - On Error (i want to override the error message)

Hi, In my package I am calling one exe to copy the files from local folders to SFTP. I am using a execute process task and I am passing the parameters like (address, username, password,....). The exe and syntax are given below. SFTPCopier.exe <<machinename>> <<username>> <<password> <<local directory path>> The problem is when the exe is failing to copy the files to SFTP due to some reason, the SSIS package is outputting the entire command in the log information (including the username & password). I dont want to write the password in the log information. I want to remove that password from the log information when an error occured in the execute process task. Can some one please tell me the way to override the message? Can I put a on error handler for that execute process task and use a script task to modify the "ErrorDescription" variable? Will that works? Thanks in advance.

User Profile Synchronization Connection disappeared

So I had finally got User Profile Synchronization working by going down the path of using the Domain Admin Active Directory account for everything (SQL service account, SharePoint Farm account, Setup account) and the User Profiles worked based on the walk through I created on SharePointAdminWiki.com.  But now, the User Profile Synchronization Connection has disappeared from the list...and if I click Create to try and recreate it I get this error: "Cannot navigate to the requested page while User Profile Synchronization is running. Please wait for the current Synchronization run to finish." There are no jobs running, and I've left it for a while and still no joy. I even tried restarting the server and still nothing! I've tried this with a Windows Server 2008 SP1 build server AND a Windows Server 2008 R2 server. I have read @jiel's and David Pae's advice on this. Rare exception: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcib

Our .NET 2.0 app relies upon the ability to download xml webpages from URLs.  At startup, we have about 6 boxes in the wild (out of thousands) that are seeing the following inner exception when they try to download an xml page.  System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive. (Inner: ) System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. They can get to the URL in their browser just fine, so we know our server is working.  Furthermore, the embedded WebBrowser control in our app can pull up webpages just fine, so I don't think their firewall is blocking our app.  I'm hoping it's just some diagnosible configuration issue.  Here is the snippet of code that does the downloading: WebRequest request = WebRequest.Create(fileToDownload.SourceUri);request.CachePolicy = new RequestCachePolicy(RequestCacheLevel.NoCacheNoStore);request.Timeout = (int)DefaultTimeout.TotalMilliseconds;request.Method = "HEAD";WebResponse response = request.GetResponse(); Nothing revolutionary there. (I've also tried it without the HEAD request, without keepalive, and using HTTP 1.0).  And here is the exception: System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive. Hello,Please bear with me as I am no Sql Server guru, but am getting this error that is preventing me from continuing with my development work.  I am the only developer on my team running Sql Server 2005 and it has been working just fine for the last week.  I opened the Management Studio this morning, just like every other morning and got this error:TITLE: Connect to Server------------------------------ Cannot connect to (local). ------------------------------ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 0 - No process is on the other end of the pipe.) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 233) Of course the help page says no help is available.  I have googled myself sick and still have not found a way so resolve this...has anyone else had this error and/or a fix?  I am using XP Pro SP2...any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!Steph

Error Message: The attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection informatio

I have a web page that contains a ReportViewer control.  I am trying to display a report, which is an .rdl file located on the SSRS server, in this ReportViewer control.  I have set the ReportPath and ReportServerUrl correctly.  I am getting an error message. Am I suppose to use an .rdlc file rather than a .rdl file?  Does the web server configuration need to use a certain account?  I am getting the following error message: The attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version. The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.

Unable to build connection string using Package Level variables from the AcquireConnection fonction

Hi all! In SSIS 2008, within a script component trying to refer to a package level variables that was added to the ReadOnlyVariables collection of the component, the following fails within the AcquireConnnection function and I get this error: Error 1 Validation error. Test1: Test1: System.InvalidOperationException: The ConnectionString property

User Profile Service Synchronization Connection: Client Timout

Hi, I have scenario on configuring User Profile Synchronization service on customer site as below. Window AD Server 2003 Domain NetBIOS: foo FDQN: foo.bar.com  User Account to connect: foo\ad-connect This account already set permission as describe in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee721049.aspx  when I try to create connection, system took long time to process then return error as "Client Timeout". I try to check FIM and it's seems to work fine (no error return and can get users data). So could anyone told me what's wrong? Since I've didn't have much knowledge on Network and AD, please advice.Theeraphat.P SharePoint Information Worker
