Dynamically sizing columns while keeping two the same size

I am setting up an interface that has a grid with 5 columns.  Three of those columns have a fixed width.  The other two columns I would like to dynamically size according to how big the grid is (i.e. a * size) and I would like them always equal to each other.  The two pieces of code I have tried follow.  Option A keeps the columns the same size but makes everything as wide as it wants w/ no respect for the size of the grid and Option B allows the two columns to size independently. Option A <Grid Grid.IsSharedSizeScope="True" > <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="14" /> <ColumnDefinition SharedSizeGroup="FirstColumn" Width="200*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="105"/> <ColumnDefinition SharedSizeGroup="FirstColumn" Width="200*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="14" /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> </Grid> Option B <Grid > <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="14" /> <ColumnDefinition Width="200*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="105"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="200*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="14" /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> </Grid>

It is possible Html Formatted Textbox in RDLC (microsoft Report Viewer)

I am trying to create a rdlc report.   One of the fields in the report contains HTML formatted information. e.g. (It's a text field which is populated from a Rich Text Editor similar to one we have here).   When I put the content of this, in a text box of RDLC file, it shows HTML instead of formatted output.   I have been doing this in Crystal Reports using Text Format tag in there.   Is there some similar option available for RDLC text box too? I could not find any.

Dynamically change textbox value ?

We have a report that in 2008 version of SSRS, we could not dynamically update one parameter (which is a text box) from another  parameter (which is a drop down). Each time the drop down changes, the text box would update.  it only happens when we first preview the report (in other words, the text box is updated by the drop down). If I change the textbox to a drop down, it works. But if I change it back to a text box (i.e. I no longer set Available Values to none), the text box only updates when first previewed.

How to dynamically change the text weight of a textbox

I'm using SSRS 2005 and I would like to change the text weight of a textbox (in a table) dynamically based on a condition from normal weight to bold. Is that possible?

Thanks in advance for your help! Smile

How do I determine the size of a dynamically created set of controls?

How do I determine the size of a dynamically created set of controls?

For example, suppose I have a method that creates a form made up of many TextBlocks, TextBoxes, etc., all contained within a grid and that grid is returned by the method.  I need to determine the size of that grid without adding it to any other controls.

    Grid myForm = myMethodThatReturnsAGrid();

    // Here is where I want to find out the size (height and width) of the grid myForm.

The reason I need the size, mainly the height is to determine if it will fit in what is left of the page of a FixedDocument for a report, and if not, to move it to the next page.

Regards, Robert -- Note: I work on various aspects of one or more programs, working on what is most important at the time. Some questions I ask are on aspects of the program that are not important right now or I'm using a workaround for now. Eventually they'll be high priority again and I'll get back to those answers received and respond accordingly. Those that are high priority get responses very soon. Thanks for your input, it is appreciated.

Textbox Editable GridView in ASP.NET

This article describes how I made a fully editable gridview in C# using ASP.NET 2. The idea is that the GridView looks and works like an Excel spreadsheet. You see all the cells in the table, and you can edit any of the cells you like, and they are automatically updated (i.e. saved to the database). This is very often how people expect data tables to work in web pages, and I've often seen people clicking in vain on un-editable gridview cells, somehow expecting to edit them, and not understanding that they need to click an Edit button at the end of the row.

Highlighting Rows with TextBox OnFocus

In another article I explained that how you can make the rows of the GridView control clickable and highlight them when they are clicked. In this article I will explain that how you can highlight the GridView rows when you focus on the TextBox which is contained inside the GridView control.
