Remove time from Month Calendar view

We have a calendar part on a page that has very narrow boxes for each day. As such we want to remove the time from appearing before the title of the event. I have managed to do this through css where there is only one event. However, have not been able to remove it where there are mutiple events. Any ideas on how this can be removed in both scenarios? Applying custom CSS to the MOSS 2007 Calendar control Month view



I have a requirement to use the MOSS 2007 Calendar Control - month view is to apply a custom css to have a look and feel as per our requirements.

We tried applying the custom css to the MOSS 2007 calendar control - month view, it does take the custom css and applies it, but when i click on any date and come back to the calendar control, it changes the CSS of the MOSS calendar control back to the default one.

Let me know if anyone has any suggestion on  how to customize the calendar control for css for our intranet application.

Your response would be highly appreciated.






Customize calendar to view next month

I was wondering if there is a way to change the calendar view on SharePoint so that it defaults to next month.  Will I have to create a custom web part for this functionality or can I create a view and manipulate it with filters? Thank you in advance.

Month Group View in Calendar

I have one issue and hope that you maybe can help me.

Namely, I created on new Calendar.  In that Calendar exist 5 standard views (under the main Calendar view) and that are :

1) Day Group

2) Week Group

3) Day 

4) Week

5) Month

What I need is something what missed here - Month Group (namely exists standard view Month but not Month Group).

Do maybe somebody know how can add or make Group Month ? Is for that neccesary some programing or can simply that do only isnide SharePoint.

Remove Saturday and Sunday from Calendar Web Part View MOSS 2007



Is there a way to remove Saturday and Sunday from the default calander web part view.  I need to get my calendar to fit in a 800x600 window, so users do not have to scroll.  I would just like for the calendar to show Monday through Friday.

Calendar List View Issue - No Month, Week, Day Icons


I'm trying to setup a Calendar view for a list in SharePoint 2010. Everything is working the way I want, except there are no icons to change the view from Month, Week, or Day. Right now, if someone clicks on a date on the calendar, it switches to the Day view. But there is no way for them to go back to the month view.

I open the page in SharePoint Designer, and in the Design view I can see three icons on the Calendar (Month, Week, Day). But at no time do these icons show up anywhere except the design view.

I want it to have the arrow buttons, the month and year (which are already displaying) and then the icons to change the view. How do I get them to appear?

Calendar View: Unable filter Recurring Event by Start/End Time and Group by Recurring Event View

Hi All,
I have just found several issues with Calendar View from WSS 3.0:

Unable to filter by [Start Time] and [End Time]
I am not sure why these 2 columns doesn't appear in the Filtering column in the View Settings. The workaround found in the internet is to create calculated column for Start Time and and End Time. However, it doesn't work for Recurring Event, the calculated column will show only first recurring event Start Time.

Unable to use "Group By"
When I create new view in Calendar using format: "Standard View, with Expanding Recurring Events", there is no option to specify "Group By". Anyone knows how to show all recurring event in List view and grouped by Start Time (or any other column).

Calendar Month View - Expand All



Can anyone point me in the right direction to show all items for a certain day when I'm on the month view of a calendar.

We will often have more than three items on certain days and I'd like for the end user not to have to 'expand' to see all the items.

We managed it in Sharepoint 2007, but 2010 looks like a different beast all together.



Events don't show up in a specific month and in last days of months whose calendar view include day



I actually faced a strange problem which is that when I add events in september 2011, they don't show up in the calendar view and the view remains empty but they appear in the all events view but events in other months appear.

Another strange thing is that I was adding events in July 2011. In the calendar view of July 2011, the first 6 days of August appear but this isn't the problem but the problem is that when I add about 3 events in 31 July then about another three from 31 July to 4 August and then about 2 events from 1 to 4 August, the events are collapsed and the 3 more items appear but when I click the link, I don’t see the events that were just on 31 July and I tried this too in the end of March so it seems that the months whose calendar view includes some days from the next month have a problem.

And finally when I change the month to be october 2010, I get error page with the text:

An unexpected erro has occured.

Crystal Report Asking for Database Authentication each time when I view Page.


Whenever I open my Crystal Report page, I am taken to the Database Authentication page where I am asked for

User name
Data Name

each time.

Is there a way to avoid this and I save these authentication in my page once.

I am using VS2005, C#.

reserving time on sharepoint 2007 calendar

HI all,
 I need to have a sharepoint calendar where if I reserve a time that is being used from 12pm-2pm, another person/ same person can't come in and reserve the same time from 1pm-2pm  or 12pm -2pm for the same day. Is there an easy way to do this?

Trying to set Calendar Time Interval Using Calculated Column, but getting Error



So i was trying to use a calculated column that added 7 days to the start date of a calendar item. The calculated column worked fine because i checked with several tests. Then i tried using the Column as the End Time in the Time Interval Setting in the Calendar View. This broke Sharepoint. Not the normal graceful error im using to seeing from Sharepoint but the Server Error Page when a dump happens in a ASP page. I havent enabled the full error page because i assume its not like i can fix it, i dont have the source code.


Does anyone else experience this? If so is it a known problem and being worked on?




Hiding other month dates in ASP .Net Calendar Control

Often we need ASP .Net calendar control in our webpages. Most of the times we require navigation in between dates of the calendar control but there can be a requirement that when we want that users should not be able to select dates from month other than the current month.Some people might be thinking in mind that Microsoft has provided theShowNextPrevMonth property of a calendar control which can be set to false in order to disable the navigation in between months. Hi All, Currently, when I add my Calendar web part to my page it displays the date and time for start and end dates. How can I get my web part to hide the times and only show the start and end date when the All Day event box is checked?

Use Sharepoint Calendar Start Time field in calculated column

I'm trying to limit the calendar view to current week using the Sharepoint defined field Start Time. However, when I display the serial number behind the Start Time it looks like it is actually giving me the serial number for the Created Date field. I believe it is because the appointment is reoccurring but I'm hoping there is a way around it. I created a new testdate field and manually entered the date and set those appointments as all day events however they are not reocurring appointments. The testdate returns the correct serial number however the start time returns an incorrect serial number. Displaying Calendar Description Field In Calendar View

In the default "out of the box" calendar view it only shows the Title of a calendar event. Is there any way to show not only the Title field but also the Description field?

Calendar and grouped view causes errors

Hello, I've come across a bizarre situation on a standard web part page. First I add a simple (or so I thought) document library web part with a view grouped on a column. The view is collapsed. Then, I add a calendar view to a page. Immediately, my grouped doc lib view turns into a site navigation web part with no resemblance to the doc lib. If I change the doc lib view to a non-grouped view, all is well again. I've built three different pages on different sites and can re-create this problem every time. If I change the Calendar web part to a detail rather than a calendar view, the page goes back to normal. Any idea what is going on here or how I can mix a calendar and a grouped view on the same page?   Thanks.
