DontSaveSensitive; Key not valid for use in specified state error

Posted By:      Posted Date: August 31, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

I initially had my packages set to 'EncryptSensitivewithPassword' and usedthe config files.  My job executes fine.  But I noticed I was getting THE error "......Key not valid for use in specified state.....".  So, I change the protection level to 'DontSaveSensitive' , saved packaged ,build and re-imported it.  And I still get the same result. What am I doing wrong??   Package is on the same server where it was built. I have a package in production that executes without the error.  I made a change to the package (logging) in test and now it also encounters same error as the package referenced above.

Backup failing - Error "operation is not valid due to the current state of the object" ...........Ca

Hi, I am having a problem backing up a site collection, when trying to backup the collection I get the following error  "operation is not valid due to the current state of the object"............. "Category Info :InvalidData" . I'm getting the same error whether I use CA "granular backup" or "Farm backup", and using either STSAMD or Powershell. I can backup CA or the mysite collection but not the Home Portal site collection. As this is a production system I am really worried that something is going to happen and I'll have no backup. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i can do to either fix the problem or an alternative way to backup the collection or farm.  P.S. I am not using the "UseSQLSnapshot" parameter. Any ideas ?

State Indicators error

Hi all, The indicator feature caused an error: Error The state indicator, Indicator1, was detected in the report. SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services does not support state indicators. Either reduce the error level to a value less than 2 or change the ReportServerTargetVersion to a version that supports state indicators. How can i solve this issue? regards

Help with error "The AdomdDataReader object is not positioned at a valid row"

I have a PerformancePoint grid from which users can drillthrough into records in the underlying cube.  The cube itself imposes no limit on the number of records returned by drillthrough.  The server has a limit of 10,000 drillthrough records.  The Analysis Services build is 10.0.2531.0  In any event, the drillthrough itself always works, but when the number of records is large (say, 6000 or so), users receive the following error when attempting to export the results to excel: Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. SQL Server 2005 x64: Intermittent "Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 10."

Hi, We are experiencing intermittent authentication errors "Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 10" on a customer's production server. This is a new server that has just been rolled out in the past several months. Rebooting the server appears to make the problem go away. We are using SQL authentication from a separate server that is running IIS. The application always uses the same username and password to connect. Interesting error message with content organiser: Cannot resolve mailbox (null) to a valid user

Here is a site with content organiser site feature enabled, as well as the email integration feature. Emails are successfully delivered to the "Submitted Email Records" list, but is never routed to the Drop Off Library. (the content organiser web service works fine and the drop off library works as a custom send to destination and happily processes its rules. If I turn up the debug juice I get the error "Cannot resolve mailbox (null) to a valid user" for every item in any "Submitted Email Records" in the site collection. Area: Document managagement Category: Content organiser EventID: 8000 Message: Cannot resolve mailbox (null) to a valid user I have temporarily worked around the problem by email enabling the drop off library but it creates an intermittent race condition (similar to certain workflow and event receiver situations), so its not a real solution (and in fact I assume thats why the Submitted Email Records hidden list exists in the first place). I've run procmon, specifically focusing on OSWTIMER and nothing interesting shows up at all. The error message is intriguing and I can't really think of what it is trying to do. In troubleshooting I noted that this farm had configured inbound email but not outbound email. I have since rectified this and de/reactivated the content organiser features and reset the timer service and IIS, b

Msg 8624, Level 16, State 13 - Internal SQL Server error.

Hi, I have a weird T-SQL 80 query full of nested subqueries full of aggregations tha thas been embedded in a view. if I do select * from the view I get: Server: Msg 8624, Level 16, State 13 Internal SQL Error.  If I run the same block of code from the query analyzer it runs fine. Also if I wrap exactly the same code in a SP it runs fine. I'm running this on a SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition SP4 8.00.2282. + I turned on the following Trace Flags: 3614, 9052, 9054, 9056, 9057, 9185, 9256. If I restore the same DB on a SQL Server 2005 and do the same select * it runs fine. So I'm getting the Error 8624 only on my SQL 2000 Standard edition  SP4 8.00.2282. Another thing I dont understand is also: why I can compile the view but if I try to visualize even the query plan I get the same error?!? Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thank you. state machine workflow project creation error

Hi,   I have a dev environment which i had sharepoint 2007 and now i upgraded it to sharepoint 2010. Now when i try to create a state machine workflow project it gives me an error Object Reference not set to an object. I uninstalled Sharepoint extensions 1.3 (as i 64bit win2008 vm) and when i am trying to install it. In one of the installation screens where it asks for the port no  and the select the app pool it only shows the sharepoint central v3 app pool . i was expecting to have sharepoint 2010 product app pool in the drop down. I know that there should be a app pool on port 80. Since i upgraded sharepoint to 2010. I want sharepoint visual studio extensions 1.3 to point to sharepoint 80 app pool . Please can you tell me how i can do it.

SQL failover on 2 different clusters with message: Error: 17189, Severity: 16, State: 1.

SQL: SQL Server 2005 SP2 CU2 64-bit Ent Edition, Active/passive Cluster. Involved in transactional replication both as a subscriber (to about 350 publishers), and a publisher (to 1 subscriber). Distribution runs on seperate servers. Hardware: both nodes are Dell 6850'x 8 cores, 16  BG ram, running on a CX3-80 SAN   Utilization: 24x7 sales website - this is the OLTP DB supporting it.   Server Usage:   CPU typically around 10%-20%. Still getting specific about CPU during the actual failures, but it doesn't spike, and no MOM alerts fired. User Connections: historically was around 500-600, but during this week, some changes made to on the distribution server handling the the 400 publications the server subcribes to, has been changed, and we not have around 250 user connections.   We have had quite a few issues this week - but none before this week.   Changes: Other than a change to the way we are getting the transactional replication data into this server (reducing the number of publishers connecting to the OLTP DB), no *known* system changes - no SQL upgrades, no OS upgrades, no hardware changes/ugrades, no application/DB releases. We have a semi-decent change control system, so while we will chase those areas to ensure nothing unknown happened, they aren't our primary area of suspicion.   What we are seeing is a large amount (several hundred) of the following messages (taken
