Event ID 1011 - DefaultAppPool World Wid Web Pub. Serv. fatal communication error

Posted By:      Posted Date: August 21, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

We have a Windows 2003 server running IIS6 1.1 Framework. We have also installed a DNS and Active Directory in the same machine.

We're randomly getting the error you can see below. Sometimes it causes the recycling of process w3wp.exe (which on my understanding represents the application pool worker processd) and other times results on this process hanging and not responding to any request. To do iisrest temporarly solves the problem.

We were pointed to a possible permissions problem between the user we were runnig the DefaultAppPool with and registry entries used by the iis. We noticed the default predifined user we used, Network Service, wasn't found in the Active Directory, so we changed it by the default configurable user, IWAM_MACHINE_NAME, which is under the IIS_WPG Active Directory Grupo, which, in theory has the correct permissions to run the application pool.

Well, none of this worked and we are still getting this error.

This is driving us crazy and think the problem might have to do with having the Domain Controller/Active Directory and the IIS6 running on the same machine. We'll try now uninstalling this DC pointing to another one to see what happens.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Gabriel.

Dear All, I am having the same more or less problem with the rest of the people here. When booting to windows xp I get a blue screen and a message like this STOP: c000021a (Fatal System error) The windows subsystem system process terminated unexpectedly with a status 0xc0000005 (0x7c9106c3 0x0053ec24) The system has been shut down. I tried using the safe mode and removing the last program Microsoft SQL Express 2005 server that I've installed and after which I was getting this message but without any success. The system immediately crashes and i get the same blue screen. People do you have any ideas of what i could do to fix this??? It's kind of urgent so I would appreciate any quick responses. thank you all again eveve

Sporadic .NET application crash with "Fatal Execution Engine Error"

I have a .NET application that runs for several hours.  It is a multi-threaded app that does some calculations and saves the results to the database.   On one machine in particular, it has been crashing recently with the following exception recorded in the Event Log: .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.4206 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (6C9D7B6E) (80131506) Faulting application AnalyzerConsole.exe, version 1.0.82.0, time stamp 0x4c76d28b, faulting module mscorwks.dll, version 2.0.50727.4206, time stamp 0x4bf4c6a7, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0011627d, process id 0x%9, application start time 0x%10. Sometimes it runs for hours without crashing, but usually it will crash eventually. AppDomain unloading causes Fatal Execution Engine Error

After resolving my previous problem (by working around it, actually), I came to the point where I need to unload the AppDomain. After cleaning up all fibers that were created to be run in this AppDomain, my (C++/CLI) code runs AppDomain::Unload(_scriptDomain);, however, it terminates the process with a very, very bad error, according to the event logs: .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.4927 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (7117851A) (80131506) The VS debugger crashes with a 'system error' in Debugger::HandleIPCEvent, which a web search shows as being no help. The (confusing) WinDbg stack trace is posted below: WARNING: HUGE STACK DUMPS FOLLOW (edit: removed due to falseness) [snip] I hope someone with more debugging experience than me can find out what's wrong with my program... I always get annoying issues when hacking on this! :(

Event Handler not picking up error

I have a connection manager which uses a Variable as part of a ConnectionString. I have tried putting an Event handler on the package to capture any errors with the connection string. Unfortunately the event handler does not pick up any errors. I would like to add some screenshot but i am not sure how to do it on this forum.  Mr Shaw

Microsoft.NET version 3.0 Install Error: Installation failed for Windows Communication Foundation. M

Please help! I've been trying for the last day and a half to properly install Microsoft.NET version 3.5 so that I can install TurboTax and do my taxes. I was only on version 1.1. Multiple tries to upgrade to 3.5 was giving me a code 1603 error on install on "Microsoft.NET version 2.0a". I followed advice from forums here and elsewhere to uninstall and reinstall my prior versions. I also used Windows Install Cleanup before reinstalling. I keep getting to the same result when I try to go from version 2.0 to version 3.5. In my last attempt, I went all the way back to version 1.0 and installed each step up to 2.0 SP1 with (allegedly) no problems. This last time I decided to upgrade to 3.0 instead of going right to 3.5. Now I get the following error message: [04/03/10,04:07:14] Windows Communication Foundation: [2] Error: Installation failed for component Windows Communication Foundation. Fatal Error in Process

Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but here goes: I have a SQL Server Alert set up for Fatal error 20 on our production server.  If there is a fatal error of 20, I get emailed.  Ocassionally, this happens, and I get the following message: DESCRIPTION:   The client was unable to reuse a session with SPID 118, which had been reset for connection pooling. The failure ID is 29. This error may have been caused by an earlier operation failing. Check the error logs for failed operations immediately before this error message.  Of course, the SPID is usually different... My problem is, I can't track down any other information about this error.  There's nothing else in the SQL logs, or the Windows application logs.  I would like to use profiler, but the error only happens every couple days, and I don't really want the overhead of running profiler all the time.  If I run a trace on our production server without using the profiler GUI, and store the output to a file on a different server, what would be the impact on our production server? Any help is much appreciated!Clint

Event Handler returning unexpected Error Code

Hi,

I am trying to set up an Event Handler to log errors to a table.

So in my Control Flow pane I set an Execute SQL Task with a deliberate error as follows; -

Within the Event Handler tab I created a further Execute SQL Statement based on the Event handler OnError

I had Beta version of VS 2008 and I wanted to install .NET 3.5 SP1. Installation led to some serious problems. I tried almost everything to install .NET 3.5SP1 (or VS 2008 SP1), nothing works

* VS 2008 has been uninstalled
* 3.5 uninstalled and cleaned
* 3.0 uninstalled and cleaned
* WF components removed
* document manager components removed

when I try to reinstall 3.5SP1, I keep receiving the following error in dd_dotnetfx35error
