Not support .Net Framing error(net.tcp)

Posted By:      Posted Date: August 31, 2010    Points: 0   Category :WCF
Hi All, I am learning the following WCF and WPF chat application, but can’t run it. http://www.codeproject.com/KB/WCF/DrawMeWCF.aspx When I try to log in as a server, it met an exception: You have tried to create a channel to a service that does not support .Net Framing. It is possible that you are encountering an HTTP endpoint. This service use netTcpBinding, and self hosted rather than on IIS. I have searched on Web, but seems nowhere has clear explaination about this. Anyone can help? Really appreciated. Many thanks.Enjoy life

MS Message Queueing 4.0 HTTP Support - 500 Internal Server Error

Hi all,   I've been trying to set up MSMQ 4.0 with HTTP Support to allow one of our partners to send messages to us. However, whenever I make any call to the msmq page I get an internal server error 500 (See below). My platform is Windows 2008 SE (64-bit) running as a DC (though MSMQ is running in workgroup mode).   Any hints on what might be causing this or how I can investigate further? Are there any log files for the ISAPI extension, or the MQISE.dll, or the MSMQ service that might help me shed light on this problem?   I've seen blogs about an issue with MSMQ 3.0 where the machine name can't be 15 characters long, is this still the case with MSMQ 4.0?   The error details are as below,     Server Error in Application "WWW.MYDOMAIN.COM/MSMQ" Internet Information Services 7.0 HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, so it cannot be displayed. Detailed Error Information  Module IsapiModule Notification ExecuteRequestHandler Handler AboMapperCustom-113521 Error Code 0x8007007e Requested URL http://www.mydomain.com:80/msmq Physical Path c:\inetpub\www.mydomain.com\msmq Logon Method Anonymous Logon User Anonymous The path to the ISAPI Filter is incorrect. here are my script includes ( I added the jquery.tmpl.js file as an existing item to the scripts folder of my MVC project )

SQL Server 2008 r2 - Setup support files - Install error / reading from file

I'm installing SQL server 2008 r2 on a Win2003 R2 x86 system.

After i start the setup, the "setup support files" box begins installing, after a while i get this error:

"Error reading from file f:\1033_ENU_LP\x86\setup\sqlsupport_msi\PFiles\SqlServr\100\Setup\ewbfphdh\x86\Patch\rs2000.msp verify that the file exists and that you can access it."

I've tried another DVD, i've tried a mounted share on another machine...no go....i've tried an ISO file mounted on this server... same error.

Is there any way i can install this "setup support files" from another location? (download)

Is there a switch soo it won't install reporting services? (...i think this file rs2000.msp is from reporting services)

"An unexpected error occurred. Please send the log file to product support.

Migrating Access 2007 db to SQL Server 2005. Things go fine until it attempts to connect to SQL Server, then I get this:

"An unexpected error occurred. Please send the log file to product support.
For more information, see "Getting SSMA Assistance" in the product documentation.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

I have no idea where this log file is as I'm running this on a Windows 7 machine. A search of the entire C drive yields nothing.

I'm using VIC-WIN7\SQLEXPRESS for the Server Name which is what is used in SQL Server 2005 Management Studio Express.

Thank you very much

Error when installing installation support files on 2008 R2

I am installing SQL Server 2008 R2 on a Server 2008 R2 machine. I run setup as administrator and I get to the Install Support Files step. It goes through several of the "workflow" steps. When it gets to "ExecuteStandardTimingsWorkflow" step, it throws an error:

"SQL Server Setup failure.

Attempted to Read or Write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.."

I ran this on several other physical as well as virtual machines and I get the same problem. With SQL 2005, there is a similar issue where it tries to install to a compressed directory and throws the error.

If this is the same situation, If I can find out what is being installed where during ExecuteStandardTimingsWorkflow I can check that, but if it is something simpler, please advise.

Problem with WCF: Error while reading message framing format at position 13665 of stream (state: Rea

we're using the net.tcp binding, server is self-hosted.

One of our clients experience the following problem randomly appearing on each client couple of times a day:

System.ServiceModel.ProtocolException, System.ServiceModel, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089

Error while reading message framing format at position 13665 of stream (state: ReadingEnvelopeBytes)

The exception appears on the client. I analyzed the WCF trace of the server and there are no exceptions.

What can be the cause of the exception?

I'd really appreciate any help, because the client is in production and this brings lots of problems.

ERROR: The version of SQL Server in use does not support datatype 'date'.

I receive the subject error when I attempt to update a simple SQL database that I've created in Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition.  I also have SQL Server 2005 Express Edition installed.  I'm running XP SP3.

The database has one table called Customers with the following 5 fields: CustomerID (int) & primary key, FirstName (varchar(50)), LastName (varchar(50)), CreditLimit (smallmoney) and CustomerSince (smalldatetime).  I've added about a dozen records to the table.

I can display the table in the web site and select records.  However, after I add editing and deleting and attempt to update an edited record I receive the subject error which is pasted at the end of this question.  Thinking my installation of SQL Server 2005 was the problem, I uninstalled and reinstalled.  Still got the error.

NOTE:  I have created the same database on a virtual machine also running XP SP3 with the Express Edition products mentioned above.  The table updates with no error.

So I'm thinking the error message is probably not directly related to a SQL problem but some system problem that is on my host computer but not on my virtural machine.

Any ideas?

ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript Snippet Support (VS 2010 and .NET 4.0 Series)

This post covers another useful improvement in VS 2010 - HTML/ASP.NET/JavaScript snippet support. Snippets allow you to be more productive within source view by allowing you to create chunks of code and markup that you can quickly apply and use in your application with a minimum of character typing.

Visual Studio has supported the concept of "snippets" for VB and C# in previous releases - but not for HTML, ASP.NET markup and JavaScript. With VS 2010 we now support snippets for these content types as well.

Multiple database support with Entity Framework

One of the features introduced in Entity Framework is being database independent. Which mean each database provider can support Entity Framework by implementing its provider.

This feature allows you build applications independent from the underplaying database provider. In this post I'm going to show how to build an application that support multiple databases using same conceptual model made by Entity Framework.

.NET 3.5 Adds Named Pipes Support

you want a named pipe server, all you have to do is create some instances of NamedPipeServerStream to handle each client connection. I stole the following code straight from the MSDN documentation.

IsapiModule Error 500 Issue

I am about exhausted trying to figure out this error:

HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error

Description: The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.

Error Code: 0x8007007b

Notification: ExecuteRequestHandler

Module: IsapiModule

Requested URL: http://localhost:80/ReportServer

Physical Path: c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2\Reporting Services\ReportServer

When I enable Failed Request Tracing Rules and view the log output I am supposing that the actual problem is in the 2nd call where there are 2 backslashes before the actual filename in the specified path:

CALL_ISAPI_EXTENSION DllName="C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\\aspnet_isapi.dll"

Can anyone help me please?

I have been producing a registration form using html and asp.  I have managed to get it to send an email having copied script from a previous website which someone developed for me.  I now get the response going to the old address and with then old text.  How can I change it all to the new site?

This has been very frustrating as I am sure someone is going to say all I have to do is ...
