Creating assembly throwing an error as system.directoryservices assembly is not in the SQL Server

Hi, I am trying to create an assembly (DLL file that created by C# ) which uses System.DirectoryServices assembly. When I try with following script Create ASSEMBLY Addresstype From 'C:\ActiDirectoryFunctions\ActiveDirectoryFunctions.dll' I am getting following Error Assembly 'ActiveDirectoryFunctions' references assembly 'system.directoryservices, version=, culture=neutral, publickeytoken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a.', which is not present in the current database. SQL Server attempted to locate and automatically load the referenced assembly from the same location where referring assembly came from, but that operation has failed (reason: 2(The system cannot find the file specified.)). Please load the referenced assembly into the current database and retry your request. From above error message, I learnt that System.DirectoryServices assembly is not in the SQL Server. I am using SQL SERVER 2005 SP2 and .Net Framework 3 is there in the machine How to manually add this assembly into this SQL Server Machine? Please let me know if you know Thank you, Raj Dreaming a world without any war in anywhere

RPC server unavailable error

Hi,  I've written the code to set the password for access database. The code works fine in the development server. But when I'm using the same code in the production server it gives the following error "The RPC server is unavailable.(exception from HRESULT:0x800706BA)".To check the error I installed visual studio2005 in the production server. While debugging it works fine. But when opened in the browser it gives the RPC server error. Also the RPC service, WMS service is running  in the production server. I dont know why it is giving the error. Folowing is the code which I'm usingpublic static void setPassword(string exportFile, string password)         {             try             {                 if (password.Trim() == "")                 {                     password = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["SDRSPassword"].ToString();                 }                 string mdbpassword = Crytography.DecryptData(password, GlobalValues.KEY);                &nbs

EXPERT: Method error 500 in dropdown (solution is NOT adding System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptServic

Please only answer if you have read the full question!!

Ok...this thing is driving me crazy!!!!

I keep getting a method error 500 in my dropdown box.

All the posts on the web come with the same solution, but it doesnt work for me!
The code seems SO simple and consists of so few lines....but it just doesnt work!

System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: SECU1075

I'm not sure if this question is appropriate for this forum.  If not, I apologize and would ask someone to direct me to a forum or community that might be able to help.  I'm very new to the whole C# thing.

I have designed a console application as a web service client which is able to talk with a webservice.  I converted the console application into a DLL and called the DLL from another C# program and am getting following error message.

SECU1075: An error was discovered processing the <wsse:Security> header | System.Web.Services |    at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReadResponse(SoapClientMessage message, WebResponse response, Stream responseStream, Boolean asyncCall)
at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object[] parameters)...

I'm told that the problem is that the DLL version doesn't know where to find the policycache.config information.  Can anyone tell me how to circumvent this problem?

Reuse XAML Declarative Workflow in Workflow Service (xamlx) Results in Server Error of System.Argume

We attempted to reuse a XAML (declarative activity workflow) in a few places within the same XAMLX and it doesn't appear to allow this.   On the WCF client side, it reported an obscure error of something to the effect of unknown message received and a communication error stating the service instance couldn't be used at this time and to ensure the call order is correct or order delivery guarantee is enabled.   However, this appears to mask the true issue which is on the server side.   Apparently, when the server side WCF end point is trying to start the workflow instance, it throws this error building a dictionary of workflow children...

SQL Server Express 2008 Reporting Services - rsAccessDenied error

I've read through a lot of posts regarding the problem, but none of the proposed solutions have worked for me. I continue to get an error stating, "The permissions granted to user '<servername>\Rich' are insufficient for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied)." If I am logged in as the local administrator account, entering the Reporting Services URL in IE doesn't give me that error, but it takes me to a blank page. I haven't been able to get to a SSRS home page at all.

Order of operations:

  1. I installed and patched Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
  2. I installed SQL Server Express 2008 with Advanced Services using the MS web installer.
  3. I downloaded and installed SP1 for SQL Server Express 2008.
  4. Opened up an instance of IE and tried to go to http://<servername>/Reports, receiving the above error. Well, technically I first tried /ReportServer_SQLExpress as reflected in the SSRS configuration manager, but that didn't work, either. I then changed the Web Service URL to use the virtual directory, "Reports" instead of the longer ReportServer_SQLExpress. It didn't work either way.

I've tried running IE as administrator, adding local machine to trusted sites, and just about every other suggestion I've found. I even ran the entire installation logged in as the loc
