I know Entity Framework is also using the ado.net technology, but I am wondering why do I need to change to entity framework?
1. entity framework is very easy to create a class to connect database(All the return get/set property are pre-built). But I found there are many examples telling me the insert, update and delete that are using LINQ. As a result I have to select a list of the target that need to be modify first, then call the insert/update/delete method. With using ado.net, I just need to write down an update query, giving it some parameters and executenonquery.
2. After the entity class built, that is not easy to change/add its column because I dun know how I tell the entity class to update itself. In ado.net, I just add a varible in the class and add a new get/set property for it.
3. Also, how do I change the connection string of the built entity class? In ado.net, I can just easily to add/change the connection in a static class/web.config.
I know I may have wrong concept on entity framwework. Would someone please help me clear my mind? Thank you.
