jquery Tablednd for drag and drop in gridview.

Binding multiple combo boxes to the same list

If I bind multiple combo boxes to a list of combo box items, selecting an item in one box clears the list in the other. When I use a list that contains something other than combo box items the binding works as expected. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Here is an example of the behavior using VS 2010 premium and .Net 4.0

<Window x:Class="TestApp.MainWindow"
    xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"
    xmlns:x="<

Drag GridView Row and Drop in DetailsView using jQuery

"Drag & Drop" is a feature that adds more interaction to the UI. When there are too many columns in the GridView, it is essential to provide a DetailsView for the end user to interpret individual rows effectively. This is done often on clicking GridView select button. To give a different and interactive user experience, we can enable end users with options to drag any row from GridView and drop it on DetailsView for detailed display. In this post, I am going to explain with a simple example on how to drag a GridView row and drop it in a DetailsView using jQuery UI's 'Draggable' and 'Droppable' mouse interactions.

Displaying Row Details Tooltip on GridView using JQuery

Continuing exploring JQuery! I decided to implement a feature to display some kind of details related to a row displayed on GridView. For example when displaying employees details on GridView some information might not fit in the GridView because it will make it huge and wide. These infomration can be diplayed as Tooltip. Or when you want to display a picture and some kind of formated text to be diplayed as tooltip when mouse hover on the image.

How to format and update GridView and DataGrid rows using JQuery

The behavior described in this question is as expected. When you set text of a cell in grid, it directly affects HTML that is going to be rendered. When you set text value of a cell, it means that you are setting innerText of the cell. The column that GridView creates for command fields (Edit, Delete and Select) are a (anchor) or button elements. So you can see what will happen if you set text value in that cell. It will wipe out those link or button controls and replace them with simple text string.

Check All with JQuery and a Asp.Net GridView

Display a Grid on the screen with a checkbox in each row. At the bottom of the page have "Check All" button.

Typically if I need to do anything interesting I use a template column. So my GridView will look like the one below (most other columns removed for readability). The only interesting point to note is the CssClass="ApprovalCheckBox" in the CheckBox ItemTemplate.
