I was reading some stuff on moving all my dbml.designer.cs file customizations into a partial class that would avoid over writting of the file everytime a change is made to the dbml file, but in the meanwhile I came across this structure in one of the projects at our place:
So when the custom tool is run or if any changes are done to the dbml file, a new file is created and the structure changes as the following:
Thus keeping the original file intact, all they had to do was copy over the changes to the sample.designer.cs file and delete that extra file Sample1.designer.cs that is created and continue witht the application?
The problem I was not able to get the designer.cs file to go a layer lower to the .cs file, is there a way I can do that ?
I tried to insert an image but it wouldn't get inserted here so did some strcture with the |__ hope it is clear.
