Posted By:      Posted Date: August 29, 2010    Points: 0   Category :WPF

Hi, We are generally education sofware service provider, we want to work on the integration of live@edu with the asp.net. Currently we dont have any domain to register. Can we explore the features of live@edu mainlly Chat with our application without having any domain. Is there any workaround from the developers prospective to analyze how the live@edu features will work as a integrated part of  asp.net without purchasing any domain, mainly i am interested to use msn chat of live@edu as a chat control of my application.

Save a Personal View in Performance Point

Hi I am changing the view of my Performance Point Services report and want to save the same like it was possible in proclarity. I have been told that all features of Proclarity are there in Sharepoint Performance Point Services.

I  was able to find the decomposition chart but not the option of saving the modified view. Has this been removed,If yes can i use Object Model and write code for it.

Thanks,

Gautam

Share Point Service V3.0 - Gantt Chart to Calendar View

Hi all,

I need some help in trying to create a project plan in the free gantt chart view, which the tasks then appear in the calendar view on the front page? Is this possible or are the 2 parts seperate from each other and you have to use the task section to assign parts out to users?

Thanks

Which JOIN style is better from performance point of view?

Hi,

If I do,

SELECT col1, col2....

FROM table1 AS A

INNER JOIN

(SELECT col3, col4....

FROM table2) B

ON A.col1 = B.col3

Or, I first take the inner query in a temp table first and then use that temp table directly in the JOIN? Consider that both the tables are really really huge (over 100 million records, and they have proper indexes).

Sachin

Designing a view for Share Point list with vertically repeated columns

I want to create a view for a Share Point List, which displays employee name and his/her phone number. I need to design this view in such a way that all items fit on one page and as there are more items they need to be displayed in repeated columns, instead of displaying on next page. Is it possible to achieve this without programming and just using Share Point Designer? I tried the conditional formatting but did not know how to achieve the repeated columns?

Anyone done this functionality or can provide any insight?

thanks.

GridView Parent Child View with JQuery Effects

Let's first populate the GridView control.

jQuery live() and ASP.NET Ajax asynchronous postback

The issue is that normally $(document).ready() is called when the DOM is ready to be manipulated. But this doens't happen after an ASP.NET Ajax asynch postback occurs.

This means that the initial jQuery bindings won't be automatically available after the asynchronous postback is over. I underline "automatically" here because my last post describes more possibilities, how this issue can be worked around.
