Posted By:      Posted Date: August 21, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

Hi all,

I am using a jquery effect that animate bounce effect, i have a line in my javascript pageLoad function $("#UserBrowserInfoDIV").show('bounce'); - the effects run smoothly but what it does is mess up the bolded text in the div. I have try the items inside the div without bolding and it works fine and no render problem but when bolded the text that are bolded is quite messed up, and barely readable.

Please let me know is there anything else i can do i really would like use this effect.

P.S all the effect have the same render problem, and i am using ie8 under compatibility mode.

Change Item order wont work for folder items

Hello. Links lists in Sharepoint 2010 have Change Item Order Action which can order your items. I added new content type based on folder content type to my list. And When I want to order my folder items with Change Item Order action Sharepoint sorts my items randomly. For example with 4 folder items it sorts it right in 3 or 4 times. I can't see any rule in it's behavior sometimes it works sometimes not. For Link list items everything is OK. Anyone have an idea? Thanks.

Animate listbox items from ItemTemplate

I want to have a slide-in effect for listbox items, when it's first loaded. I'm using ItemTemplate for listbox items and I coule do the slide-in effect from within the template using RenderTransform and DocubleAnimation. but as the Listbox is vertualized, it does the effect everytime new page of data is loaded in listbox. What I want is to animate the visible items in listbox only when DataContext is changed the first time, like messages list in 'Windows Live Mail' thanks in advance.

Strategies for removing empty list items from a listview upon render?

using asp.net 4 and vs 2010

I have a listview that displays data from a database. I have to configure it to display all column data where present, however, not all columns have data, with the result that blank spaces get rendered where this data would normally be displayed.

The code:

<asp:ListView ID="lvNationalCouncillor" runat="server" DataKeyNames="PersonId">
          <h2>National Council Contacts</h2>
            <asp:PlaceHolder runat="server" ID="itemPlaceholder"></asp:PlaceHolder>
          <div class="ContactWrapper">
          <div class="ContactText">
          <h3><%# Eval("Title") %></h3>
          <br />
          <li><asp:HyperLink ID="BioLink" runat="server"
           Target="_blank" Text='<% #Eval("Name")%>'
           NavigateUrl='<%#"~/Biography.aspx?PersonId=" +
              Eval("PersonId") %>' />

Can Pixel-shader 3.0 based shader effect be used to render to a RenderTargetBitmap?

Hello -

I have written a custom shader effect using PS 3.0 that is working great on screen, however I need to have the ability to create a 'snap shot' of the control and write it out to disk.  I have been attempting to use RenderTargetBitmap, however the shader is not being applied to the rendering.  In another forum on stack overflow I posted a similar question and was told that PS 3.0 does not have a software fall back.  I would like to hear from the MS community if that indeed is the case.  If it is, can someone out there tell me how to capture a control that has been rendered using a PS 3.0 pixel shader.  It would be best if I were able to render the control off screen rather than attempting to capture an image off of the screen.

I wrote a VERY simple program to test the ability to capture PS 3.0 rendering to a RenderTargetBit map.  the code is below:

Hopefully someone out there has a solution!  Unfortunately I can not fall back to PS 2.0...

namespace TestPixelShader
	/// <summary>
	/// Interaction logic for MainWindow.xaml

Menu1_MenuItemClick doesn't work for items other then the first one

I got a menu server control with 2 items and each items got its own childItems

MI3.Text = City;
MI3.Value = City;

MI.Text = CityName;
MI.Value = CiTyName;

MI.Text = Country;

MI.Value = Country;
MI.Text = CountryName;
MI.Value = CountryName;

protected void Menu1_MenuItemClick(object sender, MenuEventArgs e)
        string selectedItem = Menu1.SelectedItem.Text;

If I select from the dropdownmenu city it will stop inside the menuItemClick code... but, if I select anything from the Country menu... it doesn't...

Can someone give me some help?

SPListItem Update() does not work from list.Items collection.

WPF - Animating an Effect doesn't work if defined in a style

I have this code to animate a blur effect, in a class named Zombie which is derived from Image:

       public void Die()
           DoubleAnimation dieAnim = new DoubleAnimation();

           dieAnim.From = 0;
           dieAnim.To = 100;
           dieAnim.Duration = new TimeSpan(0, 0, 0, 0, 500); // in miliseconds
           dieAnim.FillBehavior = FillBehavior.Stop;
           dieAnim.Completed += new EventHandler(dieAnim_Completed);
           this.Effect.BeginAnimation(BlurEffect.RadiusProperty, dieAnim, HandoffBehavior.SnapshotAndReplace);

If I define the Effect in XAML like this it works fine:

        <local:Zombie x:Name="zombieLane1" Style="{StaticRes

HtmlInputRadioButton properties all messed up after Render

Here is some very simple test code and the result. Please can someone explain it because it looks very weird for me.

    public void TestRenderRadion()
      HtmlInputRadioButton hirbTest = new HtmlInputRadioButton() {ID = "my_radio_id", Value = "something", Name = "my-radio_name"};

      Console.WriteLine("Properties I set");
      Console.WriteLine("ID : {0}", hirbTest.ID);
      Console.WriteLine("Name : {0}", hirbTest.Name);
      Console.WriteLine("Value : {0}", hirbTest.Value);

      StringBuilder sbHtml = new StringBuilder();
      hirbTest.RenderControl(new HtmlTextWriter(new System.IO.StringWriter(sbHtml)));

      Console.WriteLine("Rendering html : {0}", sbHtml);

jQuery: Styling DropDownList Alternating Items (Rows)

In the following example, I will show how you can style any asp:dropdownlist very easily.

The example demonstrates how you can change alternating row items background color, using the fadeTo() to add a nice touch in the dropdownlist. You can change alt rows with a couple lines.

Hide a repeater in ASP.NET C# if the DataSource contains no items?

I have an ASP.NET page that uses a repeater nested within another repeater to generate a listing of data. It's to the effect of the following:
In the (C#) code-behind I'm basically using LINQ to pull a listing of information from an XML document and bind that information to the first repeater.

Searching for the answer to this, it seems the method is to determine whether the data for the nested repeater is empty. If it is, then you set the visibility of the repeater to false.

RadioButton inside GridView, How to get it work as normal

Did you tried before to drag a RadioButton control inside a Gridivew templatefield, and then you attempt to select these RadioButtons , you will notice that the behavior of RadioButton control will be changed and it will work just like the behavior of checkbox control! the user will be able to select more than one radiobutton in the grid!

Creating SharePoint items with CreateItemActivity

Instead of creating new list items from code in your workflow you can use CreateItemActivity. CreateItemActivity can be used for creating list items or files. Properties of interest for this activity are the following (most of them are self-explanatory):

Creating Sites/Lists/List Items under Current User Context in SharePoint By Using SPUserToken

Usually we do this by performing the action under RunWithElevatedPrivileges method and updating the listitem using SPListItem.SystemUpdate() method (see here). but this approach has its own flaws like (RunWithElevatedPrivileges will run under system account, we cannot use SystemUpdate for SPSite,SPWeb,SPList, since it runs under system we will "CreatedBy" by as SystemAccount).

HttpContext.Items and Server.Transfer/Execute

The problem was basically that when a Server.Transfer call was applied the script container (and also various ClientScriptProxy script embedding routines) would potentially fail to load up the specified scripts.

Get pixel format, raw format, property id list and property items image in VB.net - C#.net.

n this simple article you will learn that how we can get pixel format, raw format, property id list and property items image in VB and C#.net.

Get Pixel Format:

Image consists of pixels to get the format of the pixel we have a property named pixel format. This property returns an enumeration of pixel format. This enumeration tells the pixel format.

To demonstrate make a window application. Drag one button and a picture box on form.

Now write the following code on Button click event:
