Cannot export from a Report in SharePoint integrated mode in a server hardend environment

We have installed Reporting Services 2008 integrated with MOSS with SQL Server 2008 on a 64 bit platform.

The environment has worked fine in test (but the servers are not hardend).

With the production environment, any attempt to export from a report into another format (eg excel, tiff etc) results in an unexpected error within SharePoint requiring closing the browser and reopening.

There are no details behind the error. We can also find no traces of the error within any of the logs (SharePoint, Reporting Services, Windows event log etc)

When the report is opened directly from Reporting Services (ie http://servername:8080/reportserver) the report exports fine. Similarly, if the report is opened directly from Report Builder 2, or through opening Report Builder 2 from SharePoint there is no issue. This issue only happens when the report is invoked directly through SharePoint.

We can only assume that this issue has something to do with server hardening/UAC as we have

Tried to uninstall Microsoft Offfice web componen from control panel but failing to uninstall, its giving an erropackage could not found. 3. Tried uninstalling Microsoft office 2007  from machine but didn't worked. I have Microsoft visual studio 2005 and Microsoft office 2007 installed on my computer. SQL Server Network Interfaces Error 26 - while failing over SQL Server 2008 R2

Before I explain the issue I am facing, I would like to say that I did read the post at  http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sql_protocols/archive/2007/05/13/sql-network-interfaces-error-26-error-locating-server-instance-specified.aspx but in my case the problem is transient (lasts for approximately two minutes after a failover) so items 1-3 in the list of troubleshooting steps do not seem to make sense. As to 4 and 5, the named instances use non-default ports (2433 and 3433 respectively), so I do not know how to tailor the PortQry command for that. I tried  portqry.exe -n ServerA,2433-p UDP -e 1434 and  portqry.exe -n ServerA,2433 -p UDP -e 2434 and it failed both times with a "Failed to resolve name to IP address" while the server was up and serving database requests The same thing happened when I tried it with the failover server as well. ***The issue I am facing*** I am using Enterprise Library 4.1 to connect to a SQL Server 2008 R2 database with a mirror. My connection string itself is as below (with dummy values for all fields): "Data Source=ServerA;Failover Partner=ServerB;Initial Catalog=DBName;User ID=uid;Password=pwd;Connect Timeout=5" Sample .NET code is as below (with modifications to instantiate all variables locally to provide context): SqlDatabase db = new SqlDatabase(ConnectionString); SqlConnection cn = (SqlConnection)db

(provider: Named Pipes Provider, erorr:40 - Could not open a connectio to SQL Server)" I have sucessfully installed SQL Server 2005 and AdventureWorks. Test connection for AdventureWorks in VS 2005 was succesfull. How can I overcome this problem? Many thanks in advance. Alex-Victor

Failure in restoring an database from tape - SQL Server 2005

Hello everyone, we are trying to restore one of our datebase from tape using the T-Sql commands. Using the GUI results in an timeout. The command we are using to start the restore is: RESTORE DATABASE RECOV FROM Tape = '\\.\tape0' WITH  FILE=2, RECOVERY, NOUNLOAD, STATS=5, MOVE 'xxx_OPL_xxxx_ZEELAND' TO 'K:\RECOVER\data\RECOV.mdf', MOVE 'xxx_OPL_xxxx_ZEELAND' TO 'K:\RECOVER\log\RECOV_log.ldf', REPLACE the restore proces start without any problem, only ending with this: Processed 2598808 pages for database 'xxx_OPL_xxxx_ZEELAND', file 'xxxx_PROD_Data' on file 2. Processed 3 pages for database 'xxxx_OPL_xxxx_ZEELAND', file 'xxxx_PROD_Log' on file 2. Msg 3229, Level 16, State 2, Line 1 Request for device '\\.\tape1' timed out. Msg 3213, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 Unable to unload one or more tapes. See the error log for details. Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 RESTORE DATABASE is terminating abnormally. In the eventlog, the following is recorded: BackupTapeFile::UnloadTape: PrepareTape(UNLOCK) failure on backup device '\\.\tape0'. Operating system error 21(The device is not ready.). For as far we can judge, the tapedrive is functioning without problems. Using the same tape in an other tapedrive on an different server results in the same error. Any issues removing backup mount point cluster resources from SQL Server dependencies?

Win 2003, SQL 2005/SQL2008 64 bit enterprise failover cluster with 3 nodes and 6 instances. The mount points configured as cluster resources for the data/backup/logs. The entire cluster mount points are SAN replicated to a DR Site. But backup drives/LUNs are excluded from the replication. All the disk resources including backup LUNs are set to dependencies on the SQL Server server. The SQL Server is not coming on-line in the DR Site due to unavailability of the backup LUNs (failed resources). As per the documentation all the disk resources must be set to dependencies (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835185). Thought it did not specifically mentions only Data/Log mount points and/or the backup LUNs as well. "The SQL Server 2005 resource depends on the SQL network name resource and the physical disk resources that hold its data. When mount points are being used together with the physical disks, each mount point must appear as a cluster resource. Additionally, each mount point must also be added as a SQL Server dependency. If only the root physical disks dependency is added and the mount points are not added, database corruption will occur on failover. Database corruption may also occur when SQL Server is restarted without failing over. "     What if I remove the backup LUNs from dependencies list. This will allow me to recover the SQL Server
