Not sure if this is the correct area to ask, but its worth a try....
I have a webpage with an asp.net 2.0 upload file control, it works on Windows, but not in the IPad/IPhone, the textbox of the upload control has disappeared, and the button of the upload control is disabled.
I have downloaded multiple file upload from this site http://www.codeproject.com/KB/aspnet/multiple_file_upload.aspx, but this is not working in IE9.
Is there any other link or sample which works in IE9?
I'm actually using global.asax, but the code seems to be similar to working in an HttpModule (and I may end up moving it to one) so I'm posting here. My first post on this site.
I'm using ??????HttpWorkerRequest.ReadEntityBody to get at the request stream as it comes off the wire, instead of waiting for the entire upload to complete and let a normal aspx page handle it. These file uploads can be up to 2 GB and I need to compress (and maybe encrypt) them, and for various reasons I want this to be done as the file uploads instead of waiting until done.
The files are coming via post data in multipart/form-data format, either from the SWFUpload control or a normal ASPX file upload control.
I have some mostly working code that manually reads the stream in small buffers and watches for the start of the actual file data and then starts writing that part to a file using a compression stream. I haven't added code to watch for the MIME boundary marker at the end of the file content yet though, and already the code seems overly complex. So I'm wondering what others have done, and if .NET has anything to make it easier to work with this multipart/form-data format other than the Request.Form methods, because it seems that using any of those causes the code to hang until the entire upload is complete (I'm guessing so that the ASP.NET
What are the options for handling file uploads to reduce the memory footprint? Is there a way to upload in chunks? Is there a way to stream upload directly to disk instead of loading entire file in server memory?
I am working on a project currently where I need to get data out of a 3rd party vendor's software that uses a .sdf file I looked this up and its a SQL CE file. I was hoping to just link to with with access but thats apparently not going to happen. I need to link to the database extract data from it to a csv file for later use. I also and most important I need to get the data from it and create a report that can be printed while on a customers site that my or may not have web access so I need for this program to be on and off line. I had my webapplication that I have been working on open and was able to bring up the sdf file under the server exploere however I can't seem to get anything out of it when I try to do grid views or detail views errors out.
Can I use one of Visual Studio projects to create this sort of applicaiton if so what would be the best approach. I would love to get an access odbc driver since office is allready installed on the employee's laptop's
In my Create User Wizard1 Created User Wizard Event, I am collecting extra information from text boxes and allowing
the user to uplad a file.
I have put the Submit button within an Update Panel Tag but since I have done this it does not work.
Is there a way round it. In this situation would you use a trigger.?
<CustomNavigationTemplate> <div><br />
<asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanel2" runat="server"> <ContentTemplate>
<asp:Button ID="StepNextButton" runat="server" CommandName="MoveNext" align="middle" Text="Submit my Profile" />
I have the problem below, if anyone can help me, appreciate it.
Server Error in '/' Application.
Hi to all ,

(i dont want answers which suggests me to do SAVEAS file in local disk then upload.)
please post another answers.
hope u all understand my question .
thanks in advance.
Hoping that someone can help me with this. I've been tearing my hair out for days looking for sources and coming up with nothing.
Basically, the scenario is this: I'm working on a project whereby an iPhone will make an HTTP-POST call to an .ashx file on my site. The POST will consist of some fields and a file.
I'm having difficulty - read that as no luck what-so-ever - in finding the form fields or the file when I look at the HTTPContext object in the debug mode of Visual Studio. And if I look at HTTPContext.Request.Files.Count (where I would expect to find a file count) the value is always zero!!
Please help, very confused by this!
I am using WebClient.UploadFile method to upload a file to a web page.
The code is like this:
WebClient client = new WebClient(); byte responseBinary = client.UploadFile(url, fileName); string response = Encoding.UTF8.GetString(responseBinary);
But I can not upload it to server.
I used fiddler to see what happens, and it shows me the following information:
http status code: 302, request headers: POST /testing/upload/default.aspx HTTP/1.1
http status code: 302, request headers: GET /testing/upload/default.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 HTTP/1.1
http status code: 200, request headers: GET /(X(1)S(22pynhvxd3eqsb455pudx145))/testing/upload/default.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 HTTP/1.1
I would like to know, why I get 302 code, and why it redirect me to the strange url with (X(1)S(22pynhvxd3eqsb455pudx145)) ?
By the way, the web page is ok to upload file by using web explorer.
