I am trying to install SQL Server 2008 on my computer, which runs on Windows 7 (64-bit) Home premium. I already installed VS 2010 SP1. But now I get many errors related to registry keys. How do I check the errors?
These were the errors I found listed inthe file at C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log\20110519_033147\:
Error: Action "SniServerConfigAction_Install_atConfigNonRC_Cpu64" failed during execution.
Error: Action "SqlBrowserConfigEngAction_install_ConfigNonRC_Cpu64" failed during execution.
Error: Action "SqlEngineDowngradeDLLConfigAction_install_confignonrc_Cpu64" failed during execution.
Error: Action "SqlEngineConfigAction_install_confignonrc_Cpu64" failed during execution.
Error: Action "SLP_SQL_Dumper_install_postmsi_Cpu64" failed during execution.
And many more of these same types of errors.
It does create an icon for me for SSMS. But when I click on this it opens up the SSMS browser like normal, but will not connect to my default MSSQLSERVER. How can I fix this?
