I just installed a stand-alone SQL Server 2005 reporting services on a 64-bit Server 2008 machine without receiving any errors. I have not configured reporting services yet, but I'd like to patch it with Service pack 3. However, when I execute
Service Pack 3, it won't let me check the box for reporting services. I've rebooted, etc. The database is not installed on this server, just reporting services.
I have performed many searches, but I have not seen anyone with a similar problem. What can I do so that it allows me to check the box during service pack installation?
I ran into the following error when trying to install sql server 2008 cluster (node 1) on windows 2008
The resource failed to come online due to the failure of one or more provider resources. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80071736)
Any insight on this issue is greatly appreciated
I am in the middle of doing a Biztalk Server 2010 install on a developer machine. In the instructions it reads:
SQLXML 4.0 with Service Pack 1
Enables XML support for your SQL Server database and allows developers to bridge the gap between XML and relational data. You can create an XML view of your existing relational data and work with it as if it were an XML file. To install SQLXML 4.0 SP1,
see Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Feature Pack
My question is, do I still need to install this if I'm using SQL Server 2008 R2 Developer? Thanks.
