First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to Glen Berry for any an unbelievable script.
I have a db whose average io stall is 40ms with tons of ios, write stall avg is 28ms and read stall avg 52ms. What is the reasonable range of average io stall time?
Preodminantly, inserts and selects are performed against against a table that logs and update log info. It is done in sequence. Does this mean that one of the reasons why stall for read is greater tha than writes could be due to memory pressures
where buffer cache can not contain the ample amount of of data before it is updated?
Thanks in advance
