Hello, I am installing XA Transactions capability on SQLServer 2005 SP2 running on Windows Server 2008 64bit. I enabled XA transactions from the OS and placed the 64bit XA transaction dll (sqljdbc2.0_xa I believe) file into SQLServer bin.
I then logged into the SQlServer Management Suite to run the install script. I logged in as sa user and connected to my database. However, when I ran the related install.sql file, I got a number of errors saying that I didn't have permission to execute the
related procs, and then that those procs could not be dropped. However, the SQLJDBCXAUser role was successfully created in the database.
I am surprised at having permissions issues since I was in as sa user. I created a new user in my database, and granted ownership rights to all schemas and roles (including the SQLJDBCXAUser). Then, thinking that perhaps my problem was some limitation
connected to the sa user, I executed the install script again and got similar errors as I had with the sa user.
I would be grateful to anyone who might be able to help me figure out what my problem is. Thank you!
