64 bit Windows 7 + Excel 2010 beta + SQL Server 2008 Enterprise SP1 = My DM Add-in does not work

I'm running W7 + Excel 2010 beta + SQL Server 2008 Enterprise on a full 64-bit PC.  My SQL Server 2008 DM Add-in installs properly (throws no errors), but neither the Data Mining nor Table Analyzer tabs show up on the Excel ribbon & are not available in the Add-in dialog box.  I also have all of the above on a 32-bit laptop, and both DM tabs ARE available on the Excel ribbon and seem to function properly.

As a test I uninstalled the add-in from both machines and reinstalled.  The issue was the same; the add-in shows up on Excel running in the 32-bit environment but not on the 64-bit environment.

Question:  Is this problem due to the 64-bit environment, or could it be something else?

In sharepoint excel working fine in office 2007 but not in office 2010

Hi All,

we receive error  while trying to create excel sheet using the template we have uploaded on the SharePoint 2007.

This occurs on a machine that has Office 2010 installed. Earlier the machine had Office 2007 and everything was working fine.

Can you let me know why is problem is coming and how to resolve this.

Thanks

Sharepoint 2007 and Excel 2010 features

Does Sharepoint 2007 Server support the new Excel 2010 feaures like slicers? Or do i have to have Sharepoint 2010 to get that working (considering all other components besides Sharepoint 2010 are available in my Sharepoint 2007 environment) ?

- Thanks

RK

DropDownList in Visual Studio 2010 - OnChangeEvent does not work

I am using code I have always used in other version of VS for binding to a list box.

After binding a dataset to a ListBox in VS 2010, render the page, and cilck any item in the list, the on change event always goes back to the first item in the list!

The following code to run the list box runs once...

if (!Page.IsPostBack)

DataSet ds = UWA.AWHWebServices.GetAllBranches();
LBCSC.DataSource = ds;
LBCSC.DataTextField = "BUSN_ROLE_NM";
LBCSC.DataValueField = "BUSN_ROLE_TYP_CD";
LBCSC.DataBind();

Now instead if I load the list box using Items.add, render the page, and then click on any item in the list I get the correct item selected.

for (int i=0;i<ds.Tables[0].Rows.Count; i++)
{
      LBCSC.Items.Add(ds.Tables[0].Rows[i]["BUSN_ROLE_NM"].ToString());
}

Is this a VS 2010 Bug?

writeback + excel 2010

Hi, I am trying to use the writeback functionality of SSAS 2008 to give the user the ability to enter planned data. I created MOLAP writeback partition and excel connection. It works. After some actions outside of the pivot table  "What-If Analysis menu" becomes standard(Scenario manager, Goal seek, Data table).  And it remains same after returning in the pivot table. Why?   Thanks..
