How to access Domino Document Manager API/SDK in C#

Posted By:      Posted Date: May 22, 2011    Points: 0   Category :WPF

Hi friends,

I want to know the possibility of using/accessing Domino Document Manager objects in the C# programming. I searched in the google and only found details for using Notes object. But I am not sure this NotesDocument (which is available in Domino - COM library) is different from Domino Document Manager object.

In IBM site, I got programmers guide for using Domino Document Manager. The samples are only given in VB and VC++. No code is given for .Net.

So I want to know, is there any possibility to access and use Domino Document Manager (Domino.Doc) from the C# or VB.Net code.

Expecting reply from any friends who knew the details. Thanks in advance.

Uploading a file to a document library produces access denied error, but only on first try.

Hi I have a task which uses a custom form which is part of a custom workflow.  The form incorporates an asp fileUpload control to allow a user to browse for a local file which they can then select and it will be upload a file to a folder in a document library.  The first time this action is performed the folder in the document library will not exist so the code creates a folder and then uploads the file to it. The problem I have is, the first time users try and upload a file the directory is created in the document library as expected, but then the user gets redirected to the standard SharePoint Access Denied page.  If the user goes back to the task list, then loads the task web page again, selects the same file and hits upload, then the file is uploaded fine. All subsequent file uploads work fine after that for all users. Users have Contribute permissions on the document library. The code to do the upload is as follows.  The task has a "CR Number" associated with it, which the directory in the doc library should be called.  It uploads the file to a stream.  Then gets the url of the web and works out the file url and uploads it.  The creation and checking of the folder in the doc library happens in the getDirUrl method. /// <summary> /// Processes an uploaded file. /// </summary> /// <param name="

Control User Access to Document Workspace

I have set up a document workspace section with several folders and files.  I have set up a group that has full control and set up a group with contribute.  Now I would like to set up several groups that will only have access to specific portions within the site for contribute.  I see where I can set up group overall, but have not seen where to narrow down to spefici folders/files for group to view.  Do I get to the specific folder or document and then set up access or do it from Home?   Any help is appreciated! SQL 2008 External access returns wrong address for Report Manager

Hello, I have problems with the external access for report server. My report server is running in a local server on port 80, which can be accessed through http://servername/reports I have set up external access to the report server through http://servername.domain.com:8081/reports , so I set up a redirection from public port 8081 to port 80 on the local server. When I write the address http://servername.domain.com:8081/reports in a browser, I get asked for user authentication(Windows domain user), which is accepted, but after that I get an error because the URL automatically changes to http://servername.domain.com/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx (without the port 8081) If I write http://servername.domain.com:8081/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx , it works. I can see the report manager home page and browse through my reports. But there are some links in the page that are built improperly, since they still point to the wrong URL (without port 8081). These are e.g. the Help link, the Report Builder link, the Details view link.  So I think there is something wrong with the response the report server sends, when I write ".../Reports" and returns ".../Reports/Pages/Folders.aspx" I haven't found any configuration file or property where this response is specified, neither where the report

Restricting Document Library access

Hi all,

I hope this is an easy one. I am a newbie to Sharepoint so bare me out.

I have created a Document Library under a site and have copied the site perms to it. I then removed the Viewers group from having access so it is only Owners and Members can, in theory, open the library. But when I check using a generic user account who is only in Domain Users the account can open the library and documents.

I run a Permissions Check and it tells me:

Permission levels given to User (Domain\user)
The following factors also affect the level of access for PS User (Domain\user)
 View Web Analytics Data
View reports on Web site usage.
 Browse Directories
Enumerate files and folders in a Web site using SharePoint Designer and Web DAV interfaces.
 View Items
View items in lists and documents in document libraries.
 View Pages
View pages in a Web site.
 Enumerate Permissions
Enumerate permissions on the Web site, list, folder, document, or list item.

Fixed Headers and Document Map behavior on Report Manager

We have created a simple SSRS 2008 R2 report with document map on it. Also the report has the 'Repeat header rows on each page' and 'Header should remain visible while scrolling' features on.

When this report is deployed to report manager, we are seeing some unexpected behaviour that we would like to fix.

Basically, when you click on different items on the document map - the first few records in the report got hidden behind the  "fixed header data". Then we have to scroll up to see all the records. (The same question was asked back in 2006 by someone.. But no answers.. http://www.bigresource.com/Tracker/Track-ms_sql-ErXx27Zc/)

Please help us out. Thank you!

CRM2011 SharePoint document folder controlling access with claims

We would like to use CRM2011 and along with the document repository functionality of SharePoint. I'm currently using the on-premise install of CRM2011 beta and SharePoint Foundation. One of the requirements we have is for cases to be visible only to specific users, e.g. a team, specific user or some with whom the case is shared, who are managing the case. Unfortunately, this implies that access to documents in SharePoint should only be visible to those same individuals. Therefore other's should not be able to view, browse or search for and successfully find documents for cases they are not managing.

I understand that all documents in SharePoint will be accessible in SharePoint as defined by SharePoint's security infrastructure.

Trouble installing SSRS 2008 R2, XP Pro SP3, can't access Web Service or Report Manager URLs

I found a great thread by Uday titled "SQL 2008 Reporting Services Win XP SP2" and worked through it, but I am still stumped.

I am using port 8080 cause this was default.  I tried changeing to 80, but it didn't help, so changed back.  IIS is using port 80 and is currently stopped.

I see both databases in SQL Server and can query while logged in as Account that is used for the service account.  SSRS is running.

URL reservations look good in the rsreportserver.config file.  In Native mode.

While in RS Config Manger I can test database connection and it is good.  When I click the webservice URL or the Report Manger URL in the Config Manager I get errors "Web site can not be found" and "Website can not display page"  I just upgraded to IE 8.  Can't figure out what to do next.

When I use httpcfg.exe I see a URL for http://+:8080/ReportServer/   and http://+:80/Reports/.  This could be the problem.  How can I chages seconfd to port 8080?

Any help would be appreciated.

Users unable to access IRM protected document in the target document library. Document being transfe

Iam using SharePoint 2007 on windows server 2003 R2 and RMS Server sp2.

A user (author) uploads a document in one (source) document library. Once uploaded it is rights managed by RMS. Another user (publisher) has to publish this document at another (target) document library. RMS is enabled on both these document libraries. whenever a user (reader) tries to read the published document from target document library, he gets an error which say's he doesn't have enough privileges. Reader has read permissions on all list items in the target document library. Here are the steps I follow.

1.       A user uploads a document into source document library. A publisher downloads this rights-managed document to publish it in target document library.
2.       SharePoint generates an issuance license (IL) for this document. The IL consists of:

How to restrict access to a SharePoint Document Form Library while allowing users to fill out and su

We have created a MS InfoPath form with it's corrsponding SharePoint Document Form Library, but would like to restrict the access to the SharePoint Document Form Library. After the user completes and submits the forms then he/she should not be able to go into the SharePoint Document Form Library and view the form. In order to allow users to fill out and submit an InfoPath form, Contributor level access is required to be granted. But Contributor level access allows them to view not only the form he/she has created but everyone else's which is not acceptable in this particluar situation. The solution we've come up with is to grant Contributor access to the SharePoint Document Form Library when the Submit button is pressed using stsadm grant the user Contibutor role. Then remove the access once the submission is completed.

We would be interested to know if there is a better process to accomplish this task. And, of equal importance, the coding that is required to execute this task.
