Tablix Header missing on last page of PDF output

Posted By:      Posted Date: August 28, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server
Tablix Headers don't show on last page of PDF and TIFF output.   I've tried all things mentioned including installing SQL Server 2008 Cumulative Update# 7.   My issue is that I have a Tablix with some header rows that repeat fine until the last page.   On the last page they are hidden.  This appears to be true of PDF and TIFF output.  THere are other issues with Word output.   The standard HTML viewer works fine.   So its clearly a PDF renderer issue.

Page Header, PrintOnFirstPage=False, HTML render fine, PDF export leaves extra space

As it says in the header.Setup:SSRS 2008, VS 2008 SP1Local Mode, rdlc fileDesign:Make a 1/2" Page header with a text box in it. Set PrintOnFirstPage=FalseBody contains a Table that spans multiple "hard" pages. Results:Renders to HTML in the report viewer just fine.PDF export leaves blank 1/2" at the top of page 1. With no header for page 1, I had hoped it would remove the extra space the same as in the report viewer.Question:Any way to tell SSRS not to leave space when page header is turned off for the first page?Attempts:Tried putting everything in a rectange in the header and set the visibility to false. Still leaves space.

SQL Agent Jobstep output file contains automatically generated header

Hi,   I've created a stored procedure that creates a script to create a number of objects within the database (based on what existing objects are in the database).  From Management Studio, this works fine, and the output is exactly as I want it.   I'm now trying to create a job that will execute this stored procedure, and deposit the results into a file somewhere on the server.  When the job runs, the script is created in the correct place and is essentially ok.   However, there are a couple of questions I'd like to ask.   Why does SQL Server Agent put a header at the top of the output file?  I was hoping to be able to use that output file 'as is' and execute it automatically to recreate my objects when required.  (Obviously, I can manually remove the header, but this is an inconvenience in this situation).  How do I stop it?   Also, when executed from SSMS, the output is correctly line-spaced.  But, the output from the scheduled job adds an extra line between each line of text, which is, again, inconvenient.  Why does it do this, and how can I prevent this (again, without manually editting the output)?   Any thoughts and help greatly appreciated.   Cheers Simon

SSRS 2008 - repeating a non column header column on every page

Hi - I am working on my first SSRS report and I have mostly all of it down except one issue. Per requirements, I need to display a column that is a non header column to repeat on every page while printing and or when I save the generated report in SSRS as a PDF file. I have seen some previous blog from 2007 where RepeatWith property is recommended to be set to the same name of the Tablix in which the column(s) are embeded, tried that but it is not working. Can any one help me on this or guide me how to resolve this? Thanks, Manny

SQL Reporting Services - Page X of XX counts in header

I have searched high and low for how to calculate page numbering in the header where the global values do not apply.   I have a report that generates 300+ invoices and I need the page numbers to reflect page x of xx for that invoice only.  My report page breaks for each customer invoice.  I have found code to get the page number in the header and I have found code to get the total pages in the body.  These two solutions cannot be combined.    Has anyone found a workaround in code behind or some other method?I would appreciate any guidance.   Side note: thank you all for all your postings and solutions.  They have been highly valuable as I am new to SSRS.

Form input to output as a link on the display page (need help please)

I have a form, the form works great and displays the information perfectly on a designated display page I have set up from its database.  One problem, I want to display it as a link to the site instead of how it is now, just plain text. Thus the user would put in the text box the site and hit submit and the site would appear of the display page.  Can anyone please assist me on this, and where to drop the hyperlink control? in the form page? or in the display page?    Below is my form code page:     <p><strong><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">International Access Entry      Form</font></strong></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Please enter information      international contact information below. This if for authorized staff only.</font></p><table width="548" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="10" bgcolor="f0f0f0">  <tr>    <td width="528"><form name="INTL_Form" method="post" action="INTL-results.asp">      <p><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> </f

How do you freeze the tablix header row in an Excel export file in SSRS 2008?

So this is totally killing me. I've found out how to make a tablix header row repeat on each page of a PDF export file in SSRS 2008 (which I won't even get started on because all I can say is that 2005 is way better), but I cannot figure out how to make a simple header row of a tablix freeze in an Excel export file.  The tablix is right at the top of the body and spans the entire width of the design area.  How in the world do you get it to freeze in the Excel export file?

help me plis. this thing drive me crazy. it really should be a simple solution but i cant find it, even with googling. i have subreport that display deposit transaction banking statement from account (customer). this subreport will be accessed through main report that loop all accounts in one branch, so its like a batch report processing for all customer in a branch. rendered to pdf and distributed to all our branchs. since i know that subreports header footer wont work on main report, i decide to move the subreport header into subreport table header and make it looks like it was a report header. but THERE is one problem i cant solve, there is ADDRESS BOX that should only VISIBLE on FIRST page for each customer, along with the other header that always visible. how im i supposed to do? please help. been searching n trying for 3 days and cant find any workin solution. been wondering do i really that dumm @_@ . thanks.   ps: sory for my bad english.

SSRS Report - Page break after the Header when export to PDF

I am using SSRS 2005 version. I am printing multiple invoices, taking multiple invoice numbers as a parameter and printing invoices.

I have grouped the report based on Invoice  number, so that the invoices are printed sequentially and there will be page break after each invoice. Within each invoice there is a header, body and footer.

My issue is after the header is printed, an automatic page break happens after the header, and the body moves to the next page. Therefore there is a large gap between the report header and the body. The report layout is landscape.

I wish any one can solve this issue and grateful if they can give the solution for my problem.

Tablix header not repeating in SSRS 2008

I have a tablix header which is not repeating on each page. I have tried all the suggestions given for this issue in the forum but no luck.

for e.g: The repeat header rows in Tablix properties

Steps in Advanced Mode "RepeatonPage" etc.

I have a tablix with headers and two groups. The tablix structure is as below

Zone  Product Client Amount.

Here Zone is Parent group of product group. For both these groups i have tried the advanced mode suggestions. "Zone" Visibility is hidden in the report.

Thank you for your assistance.

How to Freeze page header SSRS 2008

Hi All,

Can someone tell me how to repeat page header on each page, i am using SSRS 2008.

Thanks in advance.

Page Breaks within tablix (SSRS 2008)

page breaks seem to be a real issue in SSRS, according to the number of posts, but I haven't found a solution for my problem yet.

My report contains a tablix which is used to group the data by keys. The tablix has one column and one row, and this cell contains several subreports which get their data from another table depending on the keys of the groups. This works quite well. However, I would like to insert a page break in between the subreports. I tried inserting a rectangle with the PageBreak property set to Start and/or End, but this is ignored. Page breaks in the subreports themselves are also ignored. Having the subreports in rectangles with PageBreak property set to Start or End is ignored as well.

The only way I have found to force page breaks is cross-joining my query of the main report with a table containing page numbers, add the page number field as the last grouping in SSRS and check the "Page breaks between each instance of the group", then showing or hiding the subreports conditionally depending on the page number retrieved from the database. However, this obviously multiplies the amount of retrieved data by the number of pages and is therefore a rather slow approach.

How can I insert a page break between rows of a tablix or even within one row?

Header Displayed For Hidden Tablix in SSRS 2008

I have inheritted a report which was written in SSRS 2005 and I am trying to migrate to SSRS 2008. It contains 2 overlapping tables - with different contents. Depending on a parameter selection either 1 or other of the tables is displayed. This is controlled via an expression in the visibility property of each table.

The display/no display of the tables works fine - but in 2008 an extra page with a header and footer is displayed for the 'invisible' table resulting in an unwanted page. Is there a way to avoid this and why doesn't it work in the same way 2005?

Cannot select a new page layout it is either gray or missing

I've got a Sharepoint Server 2010 Enterprise edition box.

I am currently working on page layouts. I want to create a new page based on a page layout. I activated Site Collection Feature SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure and Site Feature SharePoint Server Publishing I have several issues with that:

  1. What are the requirements to be able to select a page layout (is it absolutely necessary to install the publishing features)?
  2. When i select New Page I can enter the name of the page but cannot select a page layout up-front - I really hope that this is possible OOB!?!
  3. When the page is created and I select the tab PAGE the Page Layout button is gray
