Cross validation report - settings

Posted By:      Posted Date: August 28, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server
Hi,I am curenttly running a logistic regression model, and a resulting cross validation report, in SQL 2008. A large amount of analysis is done on the data before it is run into the logistic regression algorithm to ensure its predictiveness, and that multicollinearity does not reside with the dataset.Due to the fact that the dataset is streamlined before it is run into the logistic regression algorithm the maximum number of input and output variables are set at 0. The system never exceeds 20 variables at the best of times (Dataset is discrete in nature). The remainder of the settings for the logistic regression algorithm are set at default.The cross validation report settings are as follows: "Data set" - Use test cases   "target attribute" - Applicable variable that is being predicted within the logistic regression algorithm   "target state" - 0   "target threshold" - 95  "test list" - null The issue that I face is that the log score that is usually returned by the cross validation report is negative e.g. gets very close to 0 but never crosses into positive territory. (I interpret this a being not a great result). I have tried to run different datasets through the algorithm, and have adjusted the "target threshold" downwards, but I unfortunately seem to encounter the same issue on each run.Do you have any suggestions as to how this can be improved? Do I for instance,

Stop Sorting Cross Tab Report Header

Missing Tabs and Site Settings Link in Report Manager

Installed SQL Server 2008 with Reporting Services to a Windows Server 2008 box.  Tried to open the Report Manager and had no tabs and no Site Settings link - just a blank home page. I am logged onto the server with local administrator rights, so it shouldn't be a permissions issue.

Thinking the installation was bad (IIS was not installed before installing SSRS), I uninstalled and re-installed SSRS after setting up IIS 7 on the server.  Still the same issue - just a blank home page in report manager with no ability to add users or assign roles or see anything except the links for "Home", "My Subscriptions", and "Help".

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

now i have to create report which shows column names as column names and their values as values

i have tried pivot but its not working is there any way i can print dynamic or user defined columns as columns and their values as rows

Display an SSRS Report in multiple (user's) regional settings

I have an SSRS Report that I've developed that returns date values. I have users that will access this report globally, and I would prefer that the report return these dates in the format tied to their regional settings.

I have set the RDL Language property to the expression =User!Language. this works on my local development environment.

Then I published to my ReportServer (MOSS 2007). Now no matter what regional settings my PC is tied to, both the report paramters and date format display in whatever Regional setting my SharePoint site is set to.

Is there a way that I can dynamically display the report using the User's regional settings?

Convert English to Arabic number without changing any regional settings in .net

Well, most applications that I worked with was multilingual that supports English UI and Arabic UI.

And one of the major issue that we have faced is displaying Arabic numbers without the need of changing the regional settings of the PC.

So the code below will help you to display Arabic number without changing any regional settings.

Server side validation of Fileupload control not working

I've tried this method in my code behind to try and validate that the Fileupload control has a file or not. I get the error message the the event "Server Validate" cannot be found. Can anyone tell why? Thanks.

Public Sub CustomValidator1_ServerValidate(ByVal source As Object, ByVal args As System.Web.UI.WebControls.ServerValidateEventArgs) Handles CustomValidator1.ServerValidate

' Get file name

        Dim uploadAvatar As FileUpload = DirectCast(AdvertisementForm.FindControl("uploadAvatar"), FileUpload)

        Dim UploadFileName As String = uploadAvatar.PostedFile.FileName

        If UploadFileName = "" Then
            ' There is no file selected
            args.IsValid = False
            Dim Extension As String = UploadFileName.Substring(UploadFileName.L

Alternating row background for first column of a report

is there a way to make the first column of a report use the an alternating background color?

I have the background color set for the entire row however it does not work for the first column if the color is set to an expression.  If I just set it to a color i.e. red it works just fine. If I insert a dummy column to the left it works just fine (but the dummy column does not work, presumably because it is first??).

In the file below only the textbox for part number does not show an alternating background.  All others work correctly.

Integer Validation

validateRequest appears to be kicking in in MVC RC1 despite settings

After upgrading a project to the RC a System.Web.HttpRequestValidationException is thrown when posting a value containing HTML from a TextArea. I have checked that validateRequest=false in Views/web.config, and have set this in the application's root web.config. I have also created a fresh MVC project, created a simple view & controller and posted a simple html paragraph element with the same result. Call stack provided. VS 2010 HTML validation "in CSS" option - where the hell is it?

In VS 2008 there is a very useful feature of background HTML validation - it checks if CSS class name is valid i.e. it exists in one of the linked css files. But VS 2010 Express does not do that any more. And the relevant setting in Options->Text Editor->HTML->Validation->in CSS is not there. Ok, maybe they made it paid for option? VS 2010 Professional? Not there. Or maybe VS 2010 Ultimate? Not a trace.

1. am I blind?

2. they decided it is too convenient to use and removed it?

3. they will "introduce" it in SP1?

What is going on? That one thing made me move back to VS 2008 web developer.

How do I preserve __viewstate between cross domain posts or how do I get a __viewstate of a Remote S

Here is what I want to do:
I have a local site in which I want to display data from a remote site
Lets say: I want to display data of http://www.abc.com/Default.aspx on my localhost

Now Default.aspx requires some post-data which it sends to itself. Thus the __viewstate and __eventvalidation are posted back to it by itself. I want to directly post the data to Default.aspx from localhost without opening Default.aspx and display the Default.aspx's response on my localhost.

The WebApp on http://www.abc.com is configured for __eventvalidation i.e. I cannot post-data to it from my localhost without getting a __viewstate from it. I also have to post the current __viewstate of http://www.abc.com/Default.aspx to itself

How can I accomplish it?

User validation Issue in xlsx file

I am validating user from Login.xlsx file. It was working fine by validating email and password from that file. For testing i got new file same contents of file but added some more user names.

So after that when i validating the user i am getting the following error "Data type mismatch in criteria expression".

But when i replaced the new to old one it is working fine. The contens of both files are the same. So why this kind of error happened.

set messageTemplateResourceName from resource file in Validation appication block.

  I am using Validation application block in my project and want to set validation message from resource file, but not able to do that. I tried giving the path of resource file in messageTemplateResourceType and name of resource in messageTemplateResourceName. But it did not help as I only receive the message if I have set something in messageTemplate even after setting the resource file.

Here is my code:

<validator lowerBound="1" lowerBoundType="Inclusive" upperBound="250"
              upperBoundType="Inclusive" negated="false" messageTemplate=""
              messageTemplateResourceType="Asurion.jCare.Common.Resources.UIResources.PerilTypeAndDetailsSection, Asurion.jCare.Common.Resources, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null"
              tag="" type="Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Validation.Validators.StringLengthValidator, Microsoft.Practices.Enterpris

Localize framework message from xml validation error

I need to validate an XML through XSD. I am using XMLReader (with XmlReaderSettings and

Validation_EventHandler to do it). Depend on users preference, I would like to change the output message generated by  Validation_EventHandler in french or english.

Any idea on how to perform this?

Web Deployment with IIS settings of remote server

Im trying to deploy a web application project (VS 2010) via team build (TFS 2010), i got to use IIS settings of development server for deployment. So from the project properties I configured the web projects to use Custom web server, (enabled radio button), once i do this the Option in the tab Package/Publish Web "Include all IIS Settings as configured in IIS manager" gets disabled and as a result the deployed web project does not have this IIS settings.

What am I missing here, Im not using the option "Use local IIS Web Server" because the build happens in a build server and would try to take local IIS settings for packaging which is not present.

If this is not possible, suggest me any workaround. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

I downloaded report viewer 2010 from here

Now I want to actually use it in a website.  How do I do that?  Do I have to modify some part of web.config?  Specifically, what do I need to change?
