does static Regex.Match(string input, string pattern, RegexOptions ops) cache ?

Posted By:      Posted Date: May 22, 2011    Points: 0   Category :WPF

in msdn, it is said that static Regex.Match(string input, string pattern) caches for future uses,

but it doesn't say whether static Regex.Match(string input, string pattern, RegexOptions ops) caches.

Then does it cache? Does it help to promote performance at creation?

abstract away the source of the connection string using a class with a static property.

ASP.NET provides a configuration system we can use to keep our applications flexible at runtime. In this article we will examine some tips and best practices for using the configuration system for the best results.

The element of a web.config file is a place to store connection strings, server names, file paths, and other miscellaneous settings needed by an application to perform work. The items inside appSettings are items that need to be configurable depending upon the environment, for instance, any database connection strings will change as you move your application from a testing and staging server into production.

Let's abstract away the source of the connection string using a class with a static property.

Split string using Regex with escape sequences

What is the regex to split a string using the delimiter ';', but not split on '\;' ? Backslash would be my escape character in my split string, so finding '\;' would not split, but '\\;' would split. For example I want a regex that would split the following:     "aaa;bb;cccc\;dd\;eee\\;ff\\;ggg\\\;hhh" into the following string array:     aaa     bb     ccc\;dd\;eee\\     ff\\     ggg\\\;hhh   Thanks!   -Sylvain

RegEx Request - Extract an tag from string...

Hello, Can anyone give me a regular expression that will extract the <img> tag from a string.  I am receiving descriptions from an rss feed and the description contains an <img> tag in the text.  I want to extract the <img> so that I can display it in a different location on my page. I have fooled with some regular expressions, but my knowledge of them is not very good. Thanks in advance for any help!!

Loop until a string match is found

Hi,I have a column in a table which contains a string of data (about 2000 characters in length). this particular column data may have multiple occurances of an Order number. I will have to find out each one of these and insert them as a separate row in another table. I'm not quite sure how to approach this.To make it clear, here's an example:Table_A has column called data_col.data_col has data :********TOP OF DATA***********some text Order# 1111111 some textsome text Order# 2222222 some textsome text Order# 3333333 some textsome more text********BOTTOM OF DATA***********each of these rows will have the header and footer called top of data & bottom of data. So , I was thinking of something like looping through until we hit "Bottom of Data", and get the 3 order#s into a separate tablebut I'm not sure how.Let me know if the question is not clear enough.Thanks

remove pattern from string as seperate column

Hey  Everyone This seems like it shouldn't be too difficult but I'm strapped for time- I have a column where the data looks like CN=kmcde,OU=People,DC=ad,DC=FLA,DC=edu I want to pull out the 'kmcde' as a new column. I'm thinking some combination of substring and perhaps patindex but can't get it to work correctly Thanks kam

HelloI have below data in string format in a field in table and would like to parse the name from the quantity. The name should be anything before it hits a numeric numberin below example CHLORPHENIRAMINE is the name. i really appreciate if i can get a regex to extract the name from below string                                    "CHLORPHENIRAMINE 8MG CAP SA",                                    "CHLORPHENIRAMINE 12MG CP SA",                                     "CHLORPHENIRAMINE 4MG TABLET",                                     "CLEMASTINE FUM 2.68MG TAB",             &n

Input string was not in a correct format.Couldn't store <&nbsp;> in SortOrder Column.  Expected type is Int32.

SortOrder is column of Type Integer that either contain Null or number.

Any ideas? below is my code

   If e.CommandName = "Reset" Then
            Dim index As Integer = Integer.Parse(e.CommandArgument)
            dt = CType(Cache("dt"), DataTable)
            Dim value As Integer = 0
            value = Convert.ToInt32(dt.Rows(index)("ContentID").ToString())

            Dim SortOrderNum As Integer = 0
            SortOrderNum = dt.Rows(index)("SortOrder").ToString()
            dt.Rows(index)("SortOrder") = DBNull.Value   'dt.Rows(index - 1)("SortOrder")

            dtNew = dt.Copy()
            dgArticles.DataSource = dt
            Dim i As Integer = 0
            For i = 0 To dgArticles.Rows.Count - 1
                dtNew.Rows(i)("ContentID") = dgArticles.Rows(i).Cells(0).Text

                dtNew.Rows(i)("Headline") = dgArticles.Rows(i).Cells(1).Text

                dtNew.Rows(i)("SiteName") = dgArticles.Rows(i).Cells(2

Trying to prevent a match if string contains X

I'm relatively new to RegEx and trying to wrap my head around the whole thing. I'm sure others would need to accomplish what I'm trying, but I can't seem to use the right search terms to find anything.

I'm using a RegEx to either Match or Not Match if the string contains certain words/characters.

Example1:  "Do Not Match" vs "Match"

I want to match each string on the word Match. However, since the first string contains "Do Not" I don't want to match on it at all.

Example2:  "Some Example [Text]" vs "Some Example Text"

Since the first string contains [] I do not want a match at all.

Hopefully I've got my point across. I've tried numerous things and all have failed. Conditionals, LookAheads, LookBehinds, etc. I don't know enough to make this thing work the way I want. I will appreciate any assistance.

Replace space from string - REGEX.

I have some problem with RegEx.

I have text:

"something here [tagQuote=Name of Author]bla bla bla[/tagQuote] something here"

And now I want to replace all the whitespace character in quote attribute with "%#%#%#%".

So I want to have: [tagQuote=Name%#%#%#%of%#%#%#%Author]bla bla bla[/tagQuote]

So remove all of the whitespaces between "[tagQuote=" and "]...[/tagQuote]"
