Parsing a suffix separate from the prefix

Posted By:      Posted Date: May 22, 2011    Points: 0   Category :WPF

I am looking for an elegant RegEx expression that will be parsing data similar to the following:

I would like to break this into two strings... a prefix and suffix, such that the above data would appear as:

"MMI_Reached", "PRE"

"MMI_Reached", "POST"

"ReportOnlyFlag", "PRE"

"ReportOnlyFlag", "POST"

"SettlementStatus", "PRE"

"SettlementStatus", "POST"

Any suggestions?

'System.ExecutionEngineException' occurred in WindowsBase.dll parsing Run in separate thread

Receiving the above exception when attempting to fire off a BackgroundWorker and parse the FlowDocument via Run. Sometimes does not reference WindowsBase...as such Exception of type 'System.ExecutionEngineException' was thrown. Some key things are that if I run the exact same code on the UI thread there are no issues at all. If I run the code as a BackgroundWorker and the document is very small, no issues will surface either...although that may be a timing issue masking itself. Below is the entire parsing class...things begin in the method at the bottom the ParseRuns method.   public class Parser : IParser { private void OnDoWork(object sender, DoWorkEventArgs e) { ParseRuns(e); } private void OnWorkComplete(object sender, RunWorkerCompletedEventArgs e) { ParserHandler handler = _parsingHandler; if (handler != null) handler(this, new ParserArgs((e.Result as List<Data>)[0].Words, (e.Result as List<Data>)[1].Words, e.Error)); } #region IParser Members private ParserHandler _parsingHandler; event ParserHandler IParser.ParsingCompleted { add { _parsingHandler += value; } remove { _parsingHandler -= value; } } void IParser.Parse(FlowDocument origText, FlowDocument modifiedText) { //nothing to do with null if (origText == null || modifiedText == null) return; //ParseUIThread(origText, mo

Event not raised while parsing xml file

In Visual Studio 2010 ASP.NET 4.0

I want to write a procedure to validate a xml file with a xsd. I found some examples on the web but the one i chose does not work as attended. The example uses XmlReader with a XmlReaderSettings and a ValidationEventHandler.

Here is the code

Protected Sub VerifyDes(ByVal filename As String)

        Dim xslDes As XmlReaderSettings = New XmlReaderSettings()
        xslDes.Schemas.Add("", "http://www.mysite.com/xsd/ValidData.xml")
        xslDes.ValidationType = ValidationType.Schema
        xslDes.ValidationFlags = XmlSchemaValidationFlags.ReportValidationWarnings

        AddHandler xslDes.ValidationEventHandler, AddressOf xslDesValidationEventHandler

        Dim des As XmlReader = XmlReader.Create(filename, xslDes)

        While (des.Read())

        End While

    End Sub

    Protected Sub xslDesValidationEventHandler(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As ValidationEventArgs)

        'some code here
    End Sub

I tested this procedure with a xml file which was well formed but contained some elements which were not conform to the xsd.

No event or error occured. It said the file was valid.

Then i tested with a badly formed file. A XmlException was raised but nothing happened with the ValidationEventHandler.

It seems lik

Reference HttpApplication from a separate HttpApplication

I want to create a website that can monitor the status of other websites running on the same server. Is this possible? How do I get a reference to a site's HttpApplication context from a separate HttpApplication?

'asp' is an unrecognized tag prefix or device filter

Hi There,

I have been using Visual Web Developer Express Edition Beta 1 Refresh and Visual Studio 2005 Beta 1 for the past few weeks. For some unforeseen reason VS now reports the error -'asp' is an unrecognized tag prefix or device filter on all my .aspx pages.

The solution compiles and launches without any mishap and the only way to alter page control properties is in design view, as intellisense does not function due to the errors.

I've search the web and found a resolution which was to remove all files in the folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\Application

But the issue still exists.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Separate sessions in browser tabs together with an ajax enabled web site

I want my tabs in my browser to have separate sessions. I  was told to use

<sessionState mode="InProc" cookieless="UseUri"></sessionState> in web.config

 but when I read about it here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/h6bb9cz9(v=VS.100).aspx

the text says "When you configure an AJAX-enabled ASP.NET Web site, use only the default value of UseCookies for the cookieless attribute. Settings that use cookies encoded in the URL are not supported by the ASP.NET AJAX client script libraries."

I'm using Ajax so are there any ideas what I can do about this problem.

Callback has separate session

Hi, I am using uploadify to upload files to the server. After the user selects one image, a callback is issued and the image is stored to the server. To track which images are saved, I stored each item in a generic list and later store that list inside a session variable.

The problem is, the callback has a different session then the page where I will be posting back to parse the session variable.

My question is why do callbacks have different sessions then the underlying page that issued the callback.

Help parsing a string

Hi Everyone, I have the following string

strFullString = "<img src="http://image.weather.com/web/common/wxicons/31/32.gif?12122006" alt="" />Sunny, and 104 &deg; F. For more details?"

What I would like to do is parse the full string into two strings with the following values

strImgSource = "http://image.weather.com/web/common/wxicons/31/32.gif"

strWeather = "Sunny, and 104 &deg; F."

Ive been pulling my hair out with this one, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

WPF+ VS2010: Design mode error "The URI prefix is not recognized"?

our application uses VS2008 and WPF. To apply the styles in the design mode, we have used the "BlendMergedDictionary" class (see the following link) http://stackoverflow.com/questions/995101/how-do-i-get-wysiwyg-design-in-blend-vs-without-merged-resourcedictionary-in-ever It works very well in VS2008 IDE. Now we plan to move our application to VS2010. In VS2010 Design mode (click on ~.xaml design), we get error message:  "The URI prefix is not recognized."    at System.Net.WebRequest.Create(Uri requestUri, Boolean userUriBase)    at System.Net.WebRequest.Create(Uri requestUri)    at MS.Internal.WpfWebRequestHelper.CreateRequest(Uri uri)    at System.Windows.ResourceDictionary.set_Source(Uri value) the styles does not apply at the design time. It works fine in runtime. The following are the code: public class BlendMergedDictionary : ResourceDictionary { /// <summary> /// This class the purpose is allow we reference the "themes" and "styles" in resource dictionaries in separated assemblies /// by using StaticResource. The big problem using StaticResource is that it will complaints at design time can not find the resources /// So we use this class in xaml file, if it is design time, it will load the resource dictionaries in. /// If it is not in design time, it will use the reso

Create COM object from ProgID in a separate domain

Hi, How should I create COM object from ProgID in a separate app. domain? After I created corresponding Type object by means of Type.GetTypeFromProgID, I cannot use neither Activator.CreateInstance nor <MySeparateAppDomain>.CreateInstance because both require assembly name as one of the arguments... but as I said before I have no RCW assembly - just a ProgID. Those Activator.CreateInstance overloads which have argument of AppDomain type do not accept argument of Type type, only argument "assembly name" (of String type). And neither of <MySeparateAppDomain>.CreateInstance overloads accept argument of Type type (all require assembly name and type name). Any ideas?!

Problem passing custom object returned by the same webservice among two separate projects

I am running into casting issue with this scenario: 1. I made a custom object lets call it EmployeeObject.  2. The Employee object is wrapped in the EmployeeWebservice.  3. I have a client application project lets call it EmployeeClientApplication and a class library called DoSomeWorkClassLibrary.  Both EmployeeClientApplication and DoSomeWorkClassLibrary reference the EmployeeWebService and need to be able to pass the EmployeeObject back and forth.  4. The EmployeeClientApplication also references the DoSomeWorkClassLibrary. 5. The employeeObject in the EmployeeClientApplication becomes EmployeeClientApplication.EmployeeWebService.EmployeeObject. 6. The employeeObject in the DoSomeWorkClassLibrary becomes DoSomeWorkClassLibrary.EmployeeWebService.EmployeeObject. 7. The DoSomeWorkClassLibrary has a method called DoSomeWork that takes an EmployeeObject. When I try to pass employeeObject from EmployeeClientApplication to DoSomeWorkClassLibrary by doing something like this: DoSomeWorkClassLibrary.DoSomeWork(EmployeeClientApplication.EmployeeWebService.EmployeeObject), I am getting Unable to convert EmployeeClientApplication.EmployeeWebService.EmployeeObject to DoSomeWorkClassLibrary.EmployeeWebService.EmployeeObject.  I have searched high and low to fix this issue, I have tried changing the namespace of the reference.cs file of the webservice in

Parsing WSDL using ServiceDescription

Hi, I am trying to parse a wsdl file using the ServiceDescription class. I've been able to extract some information such as ports and messages. However, I am having trouble accessing the types described in the file. These are the types eclosed within the definitions element. <wsdl:types> <xsd:schema> <xsd:import namespace="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/http/"/> <xsd:complexType name="singleOutAddress"> <xsd:sequence> <xsd:element name="ReferenceID" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="xsd:string"> </xsd:element> <xsd:element name="AddressID" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="xsd:string"> </xsd:element> <xsd:element name="Score" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="xsd:string"> </xsd:element> <xsd:element name="Address" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="xsd:string"> </xsd:element> <xsd:element name="PostalCode" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="xsd:string"> </xsd:element> <xsd:element name="ErrorCode" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1" type="xsd:string"> </xsd:element> <

How to merge separate control flows?

Howdy, This seems a simple question but I can't find a clear answer anywhere... I have an SSIS package that processes flat data files, one-by-one, in a loop, until there are no more files. Before proceeding, I have to make sure the specified file exists. So I create a Script Task that checks for the file. File Exists = Task "Success" else Task "Fail". I then branch from that task to either proceed with the Data Flow task, OR else to log a failure message. IN EITHER CASE, I need to eventually return to the same cleanup Task in order to prepare for the next file. However, if the failure pathway flows into the Cleanup task, then the Success pathway always terminates just before, and does not execute the Cleanup Task. How can I ensure that two mutually exclusive pathways can return to the same Task? Thanks much!

Prefix in Numbers

how can i determine prefix of numbers in SQL? for example i want to select records that their ids starts with "123".

Do stored procedures run in separate processes ?

If a stored procedure is run multiple times calling the same method created inside an SQL server project, does each call run inside the same process. For example if the method you are calling accesses a static variable, would this variable be shared amongst all callers or will each caller always be allocated its own memory.

SSRS2008: no Integrated Security; MOSS integrated; WebfrontEnd separate

Hi, we have the following setup: 2 webfrontend servers MOSS 2007 with RS addin 1 MSSQL 2008 Cluster 1 MSSQL 2008 with Reporting Services installed when trying to use integrated security in the datasource, i receive the exception saying that integrated security is not configured. doing this on a standalone (MOSS, SQL, SSRS) environment everything works. Do I need to configure the usage of integrated security? Maybe Kerberos ? Regards Sven
