To complete all Tasks

Posted By:      Posted Date: May 22, 2011    Points: 0   Category :JavaScript/VBScript

I have three tasks in task's list.

When a task is completed I need the workflow also be completed, but this isn't happening.

Then I need to complete all tasks when the user complete the first task for the workflow.

I am a beginner with that yet.

Can anybody help me?

I develop in C#.

My workflow is sequential.

I need to create tasks to different users, but I have to complete all tasks when the first task is completed,

so that the wf is completed automatically.

I have a custom form for editing tasks, and my object createTask is inside a Replicator.

Thanks a lot for your help. :)

Data Flow Tasks does not complete even though data transfer has ended

I have an SSIS 2008 package which contains a number of SQL Tasks and Data Flow tasks with precedence.  When I run each of the tasks separately, the transfer is completed, and sometimes the data flow task turns green, but sometimes it does not.  When I run the package as a whole from my workstation, a few of the tasks compete but then all processing stops.  There are no errors, the package just sits there.  The objects within the Data Flow tasks are green and the data transfer is completed, but the task is yellow and the package does not move on to the next task. Each of the Data Flow tasks consists of one ADO.Net Source to an ODBC driver for Cache and an OLDB Destination to a SQL Server database.  I can monitor the source connections and I can see when the successful transfer activity stops.  However, the package does not close the connection and move on to the next task. I have tried different levels of precedence and even allow all of the tasks to run in parallel and it does not seem to matter.

Dialogs and ViewModel - Using Tasks as a Pattern

The ViewModel/MVVM pattern continues to gain popularity, with a blog post showing up every so often, and with tweets and retweets popping up even more often :-). At the same time, there are some interesting topics beyond the core pattern that continue to fuel experimentation. A big one amongst those is how should applications use dialogs when using the view model pattern.

The crux of the problem is the desire to keep the view model independent of UI concerns, and ensure it can be tested in a standalone manner, but that often comes to odds when you want the view model to launch a dialog, and/or do some work after the dialog is closed.

Underlying the My namespace's APIs is a fully extensible architecture you can leverage to customize the behavior of My and to add new services to its hierarchy to adapt to specific application needs. the My namespace is optimized to provide simple solutions to common problems. But if your requirements are different, you can use the My namespace's customization model to modify the behavior of individual My namespace members to meet specific application requirements.

Generative Programming: Modern Techniques to Automate Repetitive Programming Tasks

Even when developers have recurring computer-readable metadata to process and a clear idea of how code should be structured, they can still find themselves in need of a technique to automatically generate the code to avoid the drudge work of repeatedly writing and tweaking it. Generative programming is a technique that addresses this problem. Using generative programming techniques, you can solve software engineering problems in families, rather than individually, saving time and coding effort. This article describes these techniques, and builds a sample template-driven code generator. The article also lists existing utilities that have been built with generative programming techniques, as well as actual code generators.

Convert .docx to web page - "the converter cannot complete the task because an internal error occurr

I'm trying to convert docx files to webpages to be published in to a library elsewhere on our sharepoint site. At first I was having no problem, the files were converting, however more recent files have returned the error: the converter cannot complete the task because an internal error occurred

I've tried writing, uploading and converting a simple docx file, and this works which has led me to believe that the problem is something in the docx files that i'm trying to convert. So i tried using word07 to clean the documents up by clicking Office button>prepare>inspect document then removing all the metadata, custom xml etc from the files resave, upload and convert, but still no joy.

I'd simply rewrite the document but the problem is that there are a lot of them.

Any ideas what's going wrong?

Errors when interacting with WorkFlow generated tasks through ISA Server

I have a MOSs environment that I have published through ISA Server 2006 and i am getting really strange behavior whentrying to interact with WorkLFow generated tasks when I have connected through ISA. This also seems to affect InfoPath Forms Services. I was wondering if anyone out there is seeing any problems when using ISA Server to interact wih Forms or WorkFlows?

The error I get simply states:

the form cannot be submitted to the web server either because your computer is offline or because the host server is currently unavailable.

Any help would be appreciated.

Workflow doesn't complete when a task is updated directly from an infopath form.

I have an approval workflow that creates a task for a group to approve or reject an InfoPath form. But if a member of the group opens the form and updates the task from there, it doesn't complete the workflow. It only completes the workflow if they go to the actual task and update it from there. Does anyone know how to fix that?

Populate Treeview upon entered criteria and page action without complete page posting on client side

1. I have a treeview on left side in a panel in my aspx page and I have a Text box and a Search button on the right panel. On entering a search criteria and clicking the Search button, I want to get the data needed for the treeview (FYI - I have a webservice call for that) and then populate the treeview completely but keep it collapsed to the root node.

Each time I enter the search criteria and click the Search button, I don't want to post the entire page (and also don't like the page flicker), how can I achieve this? I know that in order to avoid complete postback upon Search button click, I can do so by client callback and get the data needed for the treeview, but in this case, I have to build the treeview nodes as table - row/cells and handle all the events and handlers myself, which I want to avoid (also means that I won't be able to take advantage of the inherent expand and collapse capabilities of the Treeview). On the other hand, if I use the OnTreeNodePopulate event handling of the Treeview control, using the C# script code on the aspx markup, it doesn't recognize the entered criteria in the Text box. So either way,

Creating background tasks.

Actually i'm creating an application in asp.net using c#.

I upload a powerpoint file and convert it to wmv format.Since the process of conversion is huge process(depends on the size of the file.Usually around 5 to 10 minutes.)i want to do in the background. So i upload a file and copy it to the server.(i using mysql as the database). In the server i just want to do the conversion.Once the conversion is finished.it should update the table. The user can use the file some time later or the next time. How could i do this ? Could somebody help me ?

How do I add two XML tasks to a Data FLow task?

I am new to SSIS and am developing a package which takes input from an XML file and then populates an existing SQL table with these records.  However, this is a very large XML file.  I keep getting an Out of Memory exception.  (This file is 210 MB)!  So what I tried doing was separating this XML file into 8 smaller files.  Now, I can successfully load data from these smaller files one at a time.  But how can I do all of them in the same package?  I connected two XML tasks to the Data Flow task and get the error below.  I also increased my timeout and number of errors to no avail.  Advice? Error: 0xC002F304 at XML Task 1, XML Task: An error occurred with the following error message: "Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.". Task failed: XML Task 1 Warning: 0x80019002 at zSkywardEnrollment: SSIS Warning Code DTS_W_MAXIMUMERRORCOUNTREACHED. The Execution method succeeded, but the number of errors raised (1) reached the maximum allowed (1); resulting in failure. This occurs when the number of errors reaches the number specified in MaximumErrorCount. Change the MaximumErrorCount or fix the errors.
