How do you filter a list in a Meeting workspace based on the meeting date?

I have a customer who is using a meeting workspace, and has a list on said workspace (we'll call it "Meeting Instance List"). The workspace houses this list, and of course after each meeting, the workspace, in essence, resets itself in preparation for the next meeting - so it looks like it removes the items from the list, when in actuality, they are there, just on the previous meeting instances. Some of his stakeholders are finding this limiting because they perceive it as losing historical information (you know how some folks can be, if they don't see it, they think it's gone). His solution is to replace the non-series list, with a series list, and incorporate legacy records from another older list. Only problem is, now there's not a way to filter the series list so that it shows items from a parcticular meeting date. For instance - the [Today] variable will only return a current system date value. Surely there ought to be a similar variable that would all you to filter the list based on meeting date, right?

Filtering/selecting rows based on date

I have a gridview, based on thsi datasource:

<asp:SqlDataSource ID="SqlDataSourceAllLoads" runat="server"
        ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:tplatz_dk_dbConnectionString %>"
        SelectCommand="SELECT DISTINCT DATEADD(day, 0, DATEDIFF(day, 0, tblDelivered.delivered_Date)) AS delivered_Date, tblDelivered.delivered_LoadNo, tblDelivered.delivered_TrailerNo, ISNULL(tblDeliveredInfo.deliveryInfo_FirmaNavn, N'?') AS Expr1 FROM tblDelivered FULL OUTER JOIN tblDeliveredInfo ON tblDelivered.delivered_LoadNo = tblDeliveredInfo.deliveryInfo_LoadNr ORDER BY delivered_Date DESC">

Using a dropdownlist, I can filter (by changing datasource) the results based on customer names in a dropdownlist. This datasource, working perfectly, looks like this:

<asp:SqlDataSource ID="sqldataSourceKundeLoads" runat="server"
        ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:tplatz_dk_dbConnectionString %>"
        SelectCommand="SELECT  DATEADD(day, 0, DATEDIFF(day, 0, tblDelivered.delivered_Date)) AS delivered_Date, tblDelivered.delivered_LoadNo, tblDelivered.delivered_TrailerNo, ISNULL(tblDeliveredInfo.deliveryInfo_FirmaNavn, N'?&#

Filter items with a date column with parameters start date and end date on a sharepoint list?

If I have alist with a view that has the columns Title, Status and Status Date and the view has some items. How Can I add a filter with two parameters, start date and end date, to only show records with status date equal to or greater than parameter start date and status date is less than or equal to parameter end date? This is a sharepoint online site and I can't create and deploy custom code, can use SPD though. Do I need to use SPD or is this something I can do in the list settings? Thanks in advance.   Edit: I had a look here http://www.endusersharepoint.com/2009/09/29/sharepoint-date-filter-filtering-a-list-by-greater-than-or-equal-to-date/ but I don't have the Date Filter web part.

How to create a calcuated member, which will always return the date one month before the currentmemb

I need to create a calculated member in the cube script, which will be subsequently used in various other script calculations.  It needs to return the date, which is 1 month before the currentmember of the Date dimension. I tried something like this: CREATE MEMBER CURRENTCUBE.[Measures].[LastPD]   AS           PARALLELPERIOD([Date].[Calendar].[Month], 1, [Date].[Calendar].currentMember) ,VISIBLE = 1; However when I then try to check the values with this query: SELECT [Measures].[LastPD] on 0, [Date].[Calendar].[Date].members on 1 FROM [TravCSAT] ; I only get NULLs for [LastPD].  Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Alert based on date

I have a list of SSL certificates and their expiration dates.  I created a column that calculates the date 45 days before the expiration and then a view that only shows those items where the (expiration - 45) > Today. I then set an alert for any changes to items in that view.  However, I don't get an alert for items that pop into the view...I guess because the item itself did not change.  Is there a way to send an alert based on date?  My SharePoint enviroment is locked down so I can't create custom workflows or connect via Designer.

Search based on creation date

Hello All, I would like to ask which managed property I should use for searching based on creation date. It seems I can't find a managed property to do this. I created my own managed property with the right crawled properties, which works. But I think this should be something out of the box.  Please help, thank you  Anna

Export Data to Excel Based on Date Range

I have data from multiple tables that I would like to display in a gridview via a stored procedure.  I need to select the data based on a date range and display it.  Once displayed I need to include a button that would allow the user to export the gridview data to an excel spreadsheet.  Does anyone have an out of the box solution or know of a tutorial I can use to accomplish this feat?  I am currently using 2.0 for this project. I am newish to .net. Thanks in advance. Here is my stored procedure that calls the data from multiple tables.USE [DATABASENAME] GO /****** Object: StoredProcedure [dbo].[GetUsersAll] Script Date: 09/03/2010 08:20:23 ******/ SET ANSI_NULLS ON GO SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON GO ALTER PROCEDURE [dbo].[GetUsersAll] AS SELECT aspnet_Users.UserName, aspnet_Membership.Email, Team.Name, MemberTeamRole.InsertDate, MemberTeamRole.ManagerApprovedDate, MemberTeamRole.RegistrarApprovedDate, MemberTeamRole.RoleName, MemberInfo.firstname, MemberInfo.lastname FROM aspnet_Membership INNER JOIN aspnet_Users ON aspnet_Membership.UserId = aspnet_Users.UserId INNER JOIN MemberInfo ON aspnet_Users.UserId = MemberInfo.memberid LEFT OUTER JOIN MemberTeamRole ON aspnet_Membership.UserId = MemberTeamRole

Dynamic list item title based on date created & regional settings?

I have a list of things that doesn't *need* a title.  However, because sharepoint uses Title for links, RSS etc  I tried generating a title in an event handler.   This would work great if I wasn't basing it on a date field: public override void ItemAdding(SPItemEventProperties properties) { DateTime dt = Convert.ToDateTime(properties.AfterProperties["TestDate"]); properties.AfterProperties["Title"] = dt.ToShortDateString(); base.ItemAdding(properties); } In testing, this sets the title to "8/9/2010" when I selected 8/10/2010 in the date picker.  I figure this is because of the regional settings of my test user.  I can probably correct the title value for 'test user' but that won't fix 'test user in mongolia' who would still see two different values. So What I would like is to have the Title always display the value MyDate in the uesr's locale.  So the field needs to be dynamic not only at edit/update time, but at display time. Does anybody know if this can be accomplished, and more specifically how?

How to filter comparing two date attributes?

I am trying to create a report which will display Customer, Customer Request Date, Scheduled Arrival Date and Invoiceable Sell. I want to select this information where the Customer Request Date <= Scheduled Arrival Date. I have been trying various filter combinations, but I cannot get the correct syntax.   Here is my MDX code: SELECT NON EMPTY { [Measures].[Order Lines Invoiceable Sell]} ON COLUMNS, NON EMPTY {[Customers].[Customer].ALLMEMBERS *[Customer Request Date].[Short Date Alpha].ALLMEMBERS * [Scheduled Arrival Date].[Short Date Alpha].ALLMEMBERS} DIMENSION PROPERTIES MEMBER_CAPTION, MEMBER_UNIQUE_NAME ON ROWS FROM [Orders Quotes Projects] CELL PROPERTIES VALUE, BACK_COLOR,FORE_COLOR, FORMATTED_VALUE, FORMAT_STRING, FONT_NAME, FONT_SIZE, FONT_FLAGS

filter gridview from a dropdownlist with date

having trouble fing any info on what i need to be doing i have tried '{1}'  ,  '#{1}#' , '{1:MM/dd/yyyy}' and a whole bunch of combinations thereof Teh problem is when i get it to actual not have a complie error then the functionality is not correct as i am unable to "select" all from my dropdown list . The only way i have gotten anything close to working is by removinf the % from both the filter and the default value.   here is relevant code   <asp:DropDownList ID="ddlShipDate" AutoPostBack="true" runat="server" Height="16px" Width="75px" DataSourceID="adsPopulateShipDate" DataTextField="dShipDate" DataTextFormatString="{0:MM/dd/yyyy}" DataValueField="dShipDate"> <asp:ListItem Text="All" Value="%"></asp:ListItem> </asp:DropDownList> Pleas enote i removed the append databound items=true<asp:AccessDataSource ID="AccessDataSource1" runat="server" DataFile="~/App_Data/JAGENT.mdb" SelectCommand="SELECT [cPronumber], [cCustomerRef], [dShipDate], [cOrigCity], [cOrigState], [dDeliveryDate], [cDestCity], [cDestState] FROM [BillingHistory] WHERE ([cCust

Running sum calculation based off date dimension?

I have a fairly simple calculated measure which does a running sum of a particular measure : --This does a running sum of the Net Measure up until the previous date (basically a "Starting Count" for a period. Sum(PeriodsToDate([Change Date].[Year - Month - Date].Levels(0), [Change Date].[Year - Month - Date].PrevMember), [Measures].[Net]) The problem is I have added a second hierarchy in the date dimension that includes quarter called [Year - Quarter - Month - Date]. Is there anyway around not having to create a seperate running sum calculated measure to use this new hierarchy? The PrevMember in the initial calculated measure works, although it reports the wrong number when used in conjunction with the Quarter hierarchy because it gets the PrevMember in the other hierarchy. What is the best practice for this situation?Craig

return records based on current date?

I tried finding a QA which already addressed this idea, but with no luck. Sorry if it's been addressed before.

I have a table where sales pricing is managed; it contains history of pricing where every price record has an 'effective date'. Currently when a user needs the 'active' price for a customer/item combination, the table is queried by the record that has the most recent 'EffectiveDate' before GETDATE(). Here is the def for table 'tim_PriceSheet'

ItemKey int, not null

EffectiveDate datetime, notnull

CurrID varchar(3)

ListPrice decimal (15,5)

The primary key is set on ItemKey, EffectiveDate

Sample Data:

ItemKey	EffectiveDate	    CurrID	ListPrice
45	2010-07-01 00:00:00.000	CAD	100.00000
45	2010-09-14 00:00:00.000	CAD	110.00000
45	2010-10-01 00:00:00.000	CAD	112.00000
63	2010-09-01 00:00:00.000	CAD	45.00000
63	2010-09-01 00:00:00.000	USD	45.00000
63	2010-09-18 00:00:00.000	CAD	40.00000
63	2010-10-01 00:00:00.000	USD	40.00000
63	2010-10-15 00:00:00.000	CAD	41.00000
63	2010-10-21 00:00:00.000	USD	41.00000

My challenge is this:

I want to return a record set which shows the current price for each distinct item and currency code; in the example below the result would be based on the date being September 16, 2010

Changing Date format in Filter toolbar

i have added a toolbar to a Data View Web Part and enabled the Filter option. When i click on the filter, the Due Date field displays choices as Saturday, September 11, 2010. Within the DWVP I have the format set to mm/dd/yyyy, the differening formats seem to prevent the filter from working. How I can change the format in the filter dropdown ?

Thanks in advance

FILTER within a Date Set

Basic question.....

This works fine

   [Measures].[Order Amount] on COLUMNS,
    [Customer].[CustId].CurrentMember.Properties("First Order")=[Date].[Date].Properties('Name')
    )  ON Rows
FROM [CustomerOrder]
WHERE {[Date].[Date].&[2007-03-20T00:00:00]}

Works fine

However when using a set...it fails

   [Measures].[Order Amount] on COLUMNS,
    [Customer].[CustId].CurrentMember.Properties("First Order")=[Date].[Date].Properties('Name')
    )  ON Rows
FROM [CustomerOrder]
WHERE {[Date].[Date].&[2007-03-20T00:00:00]:[Date].[Date].&[2007-03-25T00:00:00]}

Error : Query (5, 88) The MDX function CURRENTMEMBER failed because the coordinate for the 'Date' attribute contains a set.

Create Table with expiry date

I just need to know if I can create a table which will automatically get dropped after N number of days. The reason is I create lots of physical tables in side sp's to store the logging and mail it, when there is any issue that table is retained in the database. I know that this can be replaced with global tables (##table_name). But just need know to if I can create table like this. Can any one know how to do this?

Thanks is Advance,
