I want to create a web part that will do the following
1) Have a custom choice property based on teh Choice List Column in the list.
2) Return the records based on the custom choice selected by the user.

I have a Cube with a field called 'Item Code'. This field is six characters in length. The first two characters differentiate what kind of product it is. I am building my reports with cube functions. I do not want to use a pivot
table to retrieve the list by using the 'contains' or 'begins with' label filters. Is there a way to use the cubeset function with left, mid, right functions? I realize that it can be set up in the cube as a separate field, but I am not able to
update the cube. Below are my examples - 'All Products' and 'Product R3189S' work fine, but I need to retrieve 'Products starting with R3'.

Obviously I can't delete items in a collection within a Foreach loop. Problem is that the stored procedure is to return the case number in the DB only if there is a completed date(case being closed). So i thought if (result != null) then move the result
to a List or something. Then go through the list and delete items where results = item["Case Number"] but result is never null... nor does it ever == listItem["Case Number"]
For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get the result values into a list and then delete them from the SPList.

I am facing problem in retreiving the items from discussion board list.I wanted to loop through all the posts in discussion board and respective replies.I wanted to display all those datas programatically.I am able to retrieve all the posts in discussion
board except those having reply thread .
I am using Moss2007 Object models.
If i use splist.Folders; i will be getting all the posts.But not the replies of the post
If i use splist.items , i will be getting only those posts which are having reply thread.But not the replies of the post

If content approval is turned on, the Add Comment section displays a fairly ugly notification. Is there any way I can customize that section through e.g. CSS or SPDesigner?

I am using MOSS 2007 and my requirement is to show tooltip when I hover the mouse over the title column for each item. I am planning on storing the tooltip string for each listitem in a seperate column. Is there a way to do it. I am sure there is. Any help

I have 1 dropdown in my sharepoint list with other columns. If dropdown value equal to 'xyz' i need to display some other controls, otherwise these controls should be hidden.
