I'm creating a Dynamic Data application in VS2010 and have recently
switched to using a Domain Service to give greater control over the
data presented to the client. I've noticed that the
AutoGenerate<Action>Button attributes on my GridView are being
ignored. The presence of the Edit and Delete buttons appear to be
contingent on the existence of Update and Delete methods on the partial
classes autogenerated in the Domain Service, but i'm not seeing how to
control the generation of the Select button. Is there a way to control this from
within the Domain Service class?
I just wanna setup a .net framework 4.0 on my VPS for a

I wrote a class to pull adinfo and for the life of me I can't seem to figure
out why it says "Invalid Login Name" no matter what I type in. If I leave
it blank it seems to work properly but it doesn't seem to be actually searching
the AD. I'll drop the whole class here, it's being initiated by a button click
on an outside form.
Thanks in Advance for any help Offered,Postholes

I currently have this code that I found here: http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?t=612655 (Thanks Chris128)
I have adapted it from VB into VB.net. The page renders but when i enter my username into the Username textBox and hit the submit button (Which calls IsUser) I just get "The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted." I have tried lots of other code but I always get this response...
If anyone can help by posting links to a tutorial or another post for code that they know works, i will give it a go.

I created 2 projects in my solution:
Both projects were created in 3.5 framework and in Visual Studio 2008 Beta 2.
I added web service reference to Class library project. When it asked for namespace I typed "CurrencyProxy". Projects build ok, but when I run web app, Class library throws an error: Could not find default endpoint element that references contract 'CurrencyProxy.CurrencyServiceSoap' in the ServiceModel client configuration section. This might be because no configuration file was found for your application, or because no endpoint element matching this contract
could be found in the client element.
I believe it has something to do with app.config in Class library project. Here is part from app.config:
<system.serviceModel> <bindings> <basicHttpBinding> <binding name="CurrencyServiceSoap" closeTimeout=
We've updated some of our projects from VS2008 to VS2010. When these projects are deployed the w3svc is restarted on the target machine, even when restartwwwservice = false in the vdproj file.
This was a problem in 2008 until SP1 (http://forums.asp.net/p/1300097/2534736.aspx). Does this same problem exist in VS2010?
This is a major problem for us - we need to be able to deploy projects without restarting IIS.
I've tried creating a new web deployment package and setting the restartWWWService field to false, but this still does a restart when it's installed.
Has anyone come across this problem in VS2010?

This is driving me crazy... I cant find the .vsi file for installing the CSS Friendly Control Adapters Project. Does anyone know where I can get this?
The following link: http://www.asp.net/cssadapters/ only leads to the CodePlex wiki where I can download the dll and a partial solution. Essentially, I'm looking for the source code to implement the Menu adapter.
Any help is much appreciated!
