I looked the other topic and it doesn't answer my problem.
When I receive an email with hyper-links in them they seldom connect and only if the full link is available can I copy & paste it into my browser. Soemtimes there is just a comment with the link behind it and it's impossible to pick up the full link details. A box appears saying that Outlook is blocking this action and I should refer to my administrator.
I am the administrator and have too little knolwedge to know what I would need to do do to create the bock so please help to sort out this annoying and time consuming issue.
Many thanks...
Robbie
Hi,
I wonder if someone can help me please. We have a Workflow that creates a task and sends an e-mail notification to the approver. The Approver receives an e-mail and the Edit task form pops up with the correct information.
When the approver clicks Edit Task we get "This task could not be updated at time time" error when approver clicks submit button.
Upon searching the forum I found this article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/970199 however as the user doesn't have infopath 2007 (only has basic Office 2007) we cannot install the Forms Installer Tool.
Is there any way around this such as turning off the need for Inf
I have a 2007 InfoPath form that is stored on a secure 2007 SharePoint team site that needs to be emailed to outside users for feedback on a certain subject. The form is opened by a team member (with site access), sent to the reviewer to provide feedback (via Outlook 2007), and then submitted back to the team member for review and submission to the SharePoint site.
The issue I've encountered is that the outside user who receives the form in Outlook as the body of the email cannot enter information in any fields in order to provide feedback. The option to "include the form template with the email" is blocked in my InfoPath form options (I believe because the form location is a secured site). I have tried adding the users to permissions in just the library where the form is published to, but they still cannot enter any information.
Can someone provide me with a solution for this problem?
I've connected to outlook a task list of sharepoint 2010.
Once connected I can see only the activities assigned to one single user. All the activities assigned to multiple users are not reported
Does anyone know how to solve this bug?
Many thanks

We have external emails being delivered to a Sharepoint Discussion Board and our users connect to the discussion board via the Connect to Outlook option. The users all have contribute rights to the discussion board. In the Outlook send and receive groups I have configured a send and receive group for Sharepoint the sends and receives every one minute. When a user deletes a discussion board post (email) that change does not sync back to sharepoint for the other users to see the changes. I have enable Outlook logging on the client machine and I expect to see a log entry every minute since I have it set to send and receive every minute but I do not it is fairly eractic. My guess is that it is logging everytime the user clicks on the folder in Outlook and that is when it does a send and receive. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks.
I have i news list with multiline text field in it.
When item is created an SPD WF brings it to every outlook inbox in company.
Body text includes list`s textfield.
Almost every time news has links to something inside intranet portal.
So my problem is that when people click link from outlook they get link like
/Lists/Survey42/overview.aspx
And get error of course when opened in internet explorer. It should be absolute address like:
http://IntraHome/Lists/Survey42/overview.aspx
How can i force sharepoint absolute links?
I am using SP 2010 and have outlook 2007. I am using the calendar synch option and am easily able to synch the calendar from SP to Outlook. I was easily able to drag and drop all appointments at once from my outlook calendar to the SP calendar and they showed up on the SP site. Now I am unable to make any further changes on the SP calendar using Outlook that will show on the SP site. It will say it is "Send/Receive Status % complete" at the bottom of the Outlook screen, but when I look at the SP site, no changes are reflected. It will allow the opposite, if I make changes to the calendars on the SP site and then the changes will show on my Outlook SP calendars.
I have full permission in SP. Really confused why it let me synch at first FROM Outlook to the SP site, but no longer will.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Regarding a WSS 3.0 implementation (no MOSS), I have gotten some partial answers, and some contradictory answers on this topic:
Outlook 2007/2010 - Document Library integration.
Can I 'drag and drop' a document into a Sharepoint Document library by way of Outlook ?
Example:
From Desktop onto Document Library in Folder List within SharePoint Lists information store ?
Has anyone seen this before?
Did a DB content upgrade from SharePoint 2007 to 2010. After the content upgrade (with only a warning saying that an unknown 3rd party web part was missing), we reviewed the new site, and found MANY pages which contained Summary Links web parts suddenly had many (but not ALL) of the Summary Links web parts now marked as closed. At first we thought the parts were missing from the page, but when we edit the page we see the parts are in the Closed gallery. We can add the part back in from the Closed gallery and all it's originally set properties are there. Why are they coming up as Closed after the upgrade when they weren't Closed BEFORE the upgrade?
More details:
We have quite a few pages that contain one or more Summary Links web parts. On SOME of the pages, one or more of these web parts are now Closed. However, not ALL of the pages that contain these parts have the parts closed, and on the pages that now have these closed parts, not ALL of the Summary Links parts on that page are Closed, so it is not a problem with an unregistered Summary Links web part as the part is working on the same and other pages (I found other people on the web mentioning issues where NONE of their Summary Links parts are working after an upgrade.) So, it seems to be somewhat random as to which instance
I'm looking at creating a Meeting Workplace using sharepoint services 3.0. I'm reading a lot about calendars and how you can configure them to receive emails & update the calendar & such. What I want to know is if it can be hooked into Outlook 2007 / 2010 so that it will either directly update my (and other members) calendars, or if it can be configured to broadcast the meeting request to the other members. Thanks.
Hi All,
I need some help in find out if I can do the following in Share Point 2007.
1. Can a task be assigned to a user in Share Point, which will appear in there personal Outlook account under the task list?
2. Is the Calendar in Share Point a separate entity from the exchange server? i.e. - I would like to use to the calendar in Share Point to manage meeting etc and send out invitations from the Share Point site, that if accepted would appear in the user's personal Outlook account.
3. Can the Gantt Chart view be mirrored to the task list?
I hope I’ve explained the requirements correctly for people to be able to provide feed back.
Thanks
Tony
I've been trying to download the hotfixes for Sharepoint 2007 to upgrade it to v 12.0.0.6545 (KB 2276472 and KB 2276474) but the download links seem to be broken. The links to download are as follow:
Is anybody able to download the hotfixes or are their links really broken? If they are, can someone from support fix it?
