RS Integrated Mode ReportViewer Webpart not working

Posted By:      Posted Date: May 22, 2011    Points: 0   Category :C#

I have setup RS in integrated mode, and i can access and view the reports by clicking on them in the SharePoint document library. However i would like to view some of the reports in webparts elsewhere on the site.  When i click to add a webpart i have the following selection of RS related webparts:

1. Report Explorer

2. Report Viewer

3. ReportViewerWebpart

4. ReportViewWebpart

5. SPExplorer

6. SPViewer

7. SQL Server Reporting Services Report Viewer

Number 2,3 and 6 all appear to be exactly the same, and in the toolpane for all 3 it asks me the URL for the report Manager and the path to the report.  The Manager no longer exists in Integrated Mode and i cant figure out therefore what i should enter here to display the report. (this worked fine to display the report when in Native Mode...)

Number 1 and 5 are a similar story.

Number 7 doesnt work at all - when i try and add the webpart it says:

"Unable to add selected webpart(s).

Report Manager URL http:///Reports is not working in SharePoint Integrated Mode

Hello Friends,

I am ali, I am so confused why the Report manager URL(http://<servername>/Reports is not working in sharpoint integrated mode.

In my local system

1. at the time of SQL Server 2008 R2 installation Reporting services enabled In Native mode.
2  In Reporting service config manager tool http://<serverName>/Reports URL is working in Native mode. Here i am able to create New Roles.
3. In Reporting service config tool When i create a new database in sharepoint integrated mode, the the Report Manager URL http://<ServerName>/Reports not working, gettig this error "This operation is not supported on a report server that is configured to run in SharePoint integrated mode. (rsOperationNotSupportedSharePointMode)"
4 . From both databases(In native mode and sharepointmode) the the webservice URL http://<servername>/ReportServer working fine.

ReportViewer webpart is not working after SharePoint 2010 upgrade

After upgrading to SharePoint 2010 and Reporting Services 2008 (separate servers), all our web part pages that have the ReportViewer web parts in them are not working.  The error we are getting is "Web Part Error: A Web Part or Web Form Control on this Page cannot be displayed or imported. The type could not be found or it is not registered as safe."  All the reports are working on the report server but not through the web parts.  We used Visual Studio 2005 to create these reports and they all work in MOSS 2007 that also ran Reporting Services 2005.  If we delete the web part with the error and put in the ReportViewer web part manually on the page in SharePoint 2010, the reports do work.  But there are too many reports to be doing this manually for every web part page.  We already tried making changes to the Handler Mappings but it did not resolve the errors.  As far as we can tell, all the DLLs are in the right places.  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Cannot export from a Report in SharePoint integrated mode in a server hardend environment

We have installed Reporting Services 2008 integrated with MOSS with SQL Server 2008 on a 64 bit platform.

The environment has worked fine in test (but the servers are not hardend).

With the production environment, any attempt to export from a report into another format (eg excel, tiff etc) results in an unexpected error within SharePoint requiring closing the browser and reopening.

There are no details behind the error. We can also find no traces of the error within any of the logs (SharePoint, Reporting Services, Windows event log etc)

When the report is opened directly from Reporting Services (ie http://servername:8080/reportserver) the report exports fine. Similarly, if the report is opened directly from Report Builder 2, or through opening Report Builder 2 from SharePoint there is no issue. This issue only happens when the report is invoked directly through SharePoint.

We can only assume that this issue has something to do with server hardening/UAC as we have

Subscriptions cannot be created, Sharepoint Integrated mode

Error when I try to add subscription: "Subscription cannot be created because credentials used to run this report are not stored." I have SSRS 2005 and WSS 3.0 both installed on a Windows 2008 x64 Server.  SQL 2005 is the database, which his on a 2nd server (also Win 2008 x64). I'm able to publish reports to sharepoint.  I'm able to view them in sharepoint web parts, but only when I set the credentials for the datasource to "stored connections" and check both "Use as windows credentials" and for "Set execution context to account". Everything I read seems to say that I have to use Stored Credentials.  That's what I'm doing though.... necessary in order for me to view the reports within sharepoint.   Other environment things that may be important: The Report Server App Pool is using a domain account.  The same one I'm using to execute the report.  The WSS Content App Pool and the Sharepoint Central Admin App Pool are also using domain accounts.  However all 3 are using different accounts.  I see reference to Kerberos vs. NTLM authentication.  Up to this point I've not had to completely understand that.  So the only thing I do understand about that is that in my Sharepoint Central Admin --> Application Management, Auth Type: Windows; Anonymous is NOT checked, an

SSRS integrated mode email subscription to AD dist group

I have MOSS 2007 running SQL 2008 SSRS integrated mode and have created some reports and report subscriptions. Everything is working great. Now I want to use an Active Directory Distribution Group as a recipient for a report subscription - does not work, however the "last results" show no error. Try again using Dist Group in TO: field but adding regular email in CC: field...only email in CC field receive report, again all successful. Does SSRS integrated mode support AD distribution groups? if so is there any special setup required? Thanks LmmMmmm...yummy...

SharePoint Integrated Mode

Has anyone successfully configured SharePoint integrated mode in SQL Server 2008?  When browsing to the web service url, it throws an Object Reference Not set to an instance of an object with no other information given.  This is a very common error which i trust everyone experiences.  I would just like the resolution.  I've seen many posts on forums regarding this exact error with absolutly NO solutions.  Since I cannot browse to the web service URL, trying to view a report in SharePoint is secondary.

Report Builder 3 report preview error in SharePoint integrated mode

Hello folks! I've faced some strange error with RB 3.  My environment is: Win 2008R2+SQL2008R2 CU3+Sharepoint Foundation services 2010 SharePoint services integrated with Reporting Services.  When I try to run RB3 from SharePoint library and built some report I get strange error at the previw screen : Failed to preview report. The item 'http://myserver/cd6409dc-1089-4e8a..' cannot be found. Details: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: The item 'http://myserver/cd6409dc-1089-4e8a-a2a4-f231c97039aa' cannot be found. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ItemNotFoundException: The item 'http://myserver/cd6409dc-1089-4e8a-a2a4-f231c97039aa' cannot be found.    at Microsoft.ReportingServices.WebServer.ReportingService2010Impl.CreateReportEditSession(String Report, String Parent, Byte[] Definition, String& EditSessionID, Warning[]& Warnings)    at Microsoft.ReportingServices.WebServer.ReportingService2010.CreateReportEditSession(String Report, String Parent, Byte[] Definition, String& EditSessionID, Warning[]& Warnings)  The most intresting thing, that my test environment with Win 2008R2 CTP+SQL2008R@ Nov CTP is working properly without any error. Could you please advise how to resole this problem? Thanks in advance, Andre.

Sharepoint integrated mode, any side effect ?

Hi, We planned to switch from native mode to sharepoint integrated mode our SQL Server Reporting Server. But it is a production server, so we liked to know if any side effect can happened on existing report and if it is possible to switch an existing database into sharepoint integrated mode ? Thanks, Mathieu Perrin.

Setting Title on SSRS (SharePoint Integrated Mode) subscription.

I have some subscriptions in SSRS where the report goes directly to a Document Library on Sharepoint.  The subscription works fine, however, I would like to have the Title of the report be the current date that the report is run.  Is there a way to put a formula such as =[today] in the Title field of the File Options section on the Subscription properties?  I have tried this but either it is not possible or I am not using the correct syntax.  Thanks, Tim Olig

ReportViewer Print Button not working correctly with windows 7 clients

I need some help being pointed in the right direction to fix the following issue: - After building several reports using reportviewer and testing with windows XP clients everything seemed to be fine.  I noticed that the first time the client loaded the asp.net website and clicked the print button it asked permission to install a small file (I assume this is to allow the reportviewer to access the clients printers).   - The problem I have is on Windows 7 Clients.  They can view/export the reports with no problem, but when they click the print button it ask permission to install the small file, but a error is given during the install process and the file is not installed.   If anyone has a solution or can point me in the right direction it would be helpfull.  I am using Visual Studios 2008 on Windows XP PRO and the site is hosted on Windows Server 2003 R3   Thanks

While trying to view a report in integrated mode i see an unsupported RPL stream error

Trying to deploy a report in integrated mode on MOSS 2007. SQL server version is 2008 R2. I see the following:   ??? ?????????? ? ????м???? ?? ??????? ????????? ??????. ?????????? ?????????????м?? ?????? ?????? RPL: 34.62.1836345404. ??????м?? ??????: 10.3.     Yes i know its in russian. Another fail of Microsoft not being able to see the error codes and strings in english language, makes finding solutions even harder, because first you must find HOW is this called in english, then look for solution. Okay so, i found out that it is actually transalted into: unsupported RPL stream version detected 34.62.1836345404 expected version 10.3 Now, everywhere around the webs they say that this is because my Add-in is out of date and i need new RS addin for MOSS 2007.  But the link is dead!    For example, here http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlreportingservices/thread/61357765-52aa-4085-9ee0-4cb494a6c3ad   @For SQL 2008 R2 together with WSS 3.0 / MOSS 2007, you need the SQL server 2008 november CTP add in:  http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=44bda62c-0cda-4a99-8d0a-d7fe06b39422 But the link is dead and there is no hint as to what happened.   The only valid link i found is this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=65606fdd-093f-4c

SharePoint 2010 - "My Inbox"(OWA) webpart not working with Exchange 2010

Hi, I'm trying to setup the webpart "My Inbox" (OWA) in SharePoint 2010. It works when connecting to OWA running exchange 2007, but failes with error 400 not found when connecting to OWA running Exchange 2010. The error appears after logging in.  I'm using this url: https://<exchangeserver>/owa I assume that this should be supported by Exchange 2010, but it seems to fail using this parameter /?cmd=contents. Any suggestions?   Best regards, Petter

ReportViewer not working in vs2010 framework4

I cannot get my reports to work when combined with a master page. I have a webpage with a reportviewer that has always worked in VS2008 framework3.5.  However, When I rebuild this for vs2010 it looks like this: <%@ Page Title="" Language="VB" MasterPageFile="~/TopMenu.master" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeFile="TestControl2.aspx.vb" Inherits="TestControl2" %> <%@ Register assembly="Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" namespace="Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms" tagprefix="rsweb" %> <asp:Content ID="Content1" ContentPlaceHolderID="ContentPlaceHolder1" Runat="Server">     <asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server">     </asp:ScriptManager>         <rsweb:ReportViewer ID="ReportViewer1" runat="server" CssClass="CornwallReports"             Height="475px" ProcessingMode="Remote" Width="900px">             <ServerReport ReportPath="/Cornwall/Reports/FindSales"      &

Drill down issues with ssrs in integrated mode

The "jump to report" drilldown option is not working right.  These same reports drill fine on another report server (non-integrated).  It looks like the "path" specified in the url is messed up, it's trying to go to site/subsite/report instead of just subsite/report.  The site that has the report library is not the root site in the site collection. I've tried looking around for a setting for that path but I don't see it.  Seems like the report would know its own path.. Thanks in advance for your help,   Ken SSRS 2005, MOSS 2007
