Reporting Services in SharePoint integration - configurtion errors in 64bit version

We have build an MOSS 2007 environment on 64 bit servers. We build the reporting services server and configured in SharePoint integration mode. Initially configuration looks fine with reporting services integration with green indicators.

After creating a web application and accessing the web site from the report servor, i have found the following errors:

I am trying to install reporting services and join it into existing service farm.

Main  MOSS 2007 is on one pc, with config bases etc, while reporting services, reporting services db will be on other pc.

We are using same domain account to run sharepoint services and reporting services.

I've installed web part of MOSS on that other computer, also reporting services and sql server, set reporting services in integration mode.

Either way, it wont work for me:

If i am running the service of reporting services as Network Service account, then the /reportserver page will complain about some generic error "probably you dont have access to the farm if you are in integrated mode" etc....

I've read that i should include networkservice into a group WSS_WPG which i did, no luck anyway, same error

If i try to type the adress into the integration with reporting services in moss admin page, i will get error like "expected xml received html" and alot of red text.

If i switch service to run from domain account (the one that is used for running sharepoint on the domain) (we did the spn thing, didnt work either), the /reportserver page will open

Reporting Services and Sharepoint Integration - Sharepoint Alternate Access Mappings (Zones)

I get the following error when I try to navigate to a report/model/data source, stored in a Sharepoint Document Library using a Sharepoint URL based on an Extranet or Intranet zone - but it works OK using the url for the Default zone: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: The specified path refers to a SharePoint zone that is not supported. The default zone path must be used. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.SecurityZoneNotSupportedException: The specified path refers to a SharePoint zone that is not supported. The default zone path must be used. Is this a limitation of the SQLRS-WSS3 integration or is there a workaround? Many thanks to anyone who can help!

Title for a Reporting Services booth at a dog & pony show

For the foreigners.. dog & pony show is not literal! My company is having an IT Expo and I'm doing a booth demoing reporting services to many folks who may not have seen it before within the company.  I've got a decent solution to demo that is in production which includes drilldown reports, graphs, use of parent/child expanding sections, etc. So far my best idea is Reporting Services It's my data and I want it now! Pretty lame, I know. Surely one of you can do better!  Thanks.. Ken

SharePoint integration with SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services

Hello Everyone,   I have been banging my head against the wall with trying to integrate SharePoint 2007 and SQL Reporting Services.  If anyone could offer any assistance, I would appreciate it greatly. I have been following these 2 websites down to the letter in trying to configure everything:     1. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb326356.aspx     <---Microsoft's Steps   2. http://blogs.msdn.com/sharepoint/archive/2007/02/19/microsoft-sql-server-2005-sp2-reporting-services-integration-with- wss-3-0-and-moss-2007.aspx   <---SharePoint Blog Group     Basically my setup is as follows:   Server 1 = SharePoint 2007 Server 2 = SQL Server Reporting Services SP2 / SharePoint 2007 services Server 3 = Database   Server1 is setup and running SharePoint 2007 fine with no problems. It was installed under the complete option with its own server farm. Then with the Server2, SharePoint 2007 is installed again, also under the complete complete option, and configured to join Server1's server farm. In this way, Server2 is able to supply Server1 with services and it has been said that if you are using 2 different servers, one for SharePoint and one for Reporting Services, you need to have an instance of SharePoint on the reporting services box. With a SharePoint "front-end" the reporting-services now has a way to also join Server1s farm.   This is where the headache be

Configuring Reporting Services Integration with PowerShell

I used the powershell script described here to configure my Reporting Services installation through WMI. Now I want to use Powershell to complete the Reporting Services with SharePoint Integration configuration. Is it possible to use PowerShell to perform the steps that you would otherwise do through Central Administration --> General Application Settings --> Reporting Services: Add a Report Server to the Integration Reporting Services Integration I can't find anything that will let me script this part. Can it be done through a PS cmdlet or even wmi? Thanks in advance!

Reporting Service Integration, Unable to access Reporting Services Site Settings

I am attempting to get reporting services running in integrated mode with sharepoint 2010. I have everything installed and features turned on. In the site collection, when I click on  Site Settings > Reporting Services Site Settings, I am presented with:

Error: The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.

I get virtually zero hits when searching for this. Any help is appreciated.

Reporting Services Add in for SharePoint - Installation Interrupted

I am trying to install the 'Reporting Services Add-In for SharePoint'. And for some strange reason, its rolling back the installation at the last step and showing me the message saying 'The Reporting Services Add in set up was interrupted. Your system was not modified, please run the set up again'. I tried googling for any solutions, but everyone is saying I should look in the 'Documents and Settings -> temp' folder for the installation log file which would tell me the cause of the error, but as luck would have it, im not able to find that file as well (there are no files in temp, and the log is not getting created there).. I tried the 'msiexec *i' option, but was not able to find anything useful there.

Any pointers towards solving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

SharePoint 2010 and Reporting Services 2008 R2 Integration Fail - Failed to establish connection wit

We have installed SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition on a virtual server (C-SQL) and SharePoint Server 2010 on another virtual server (C-SPOINT), with the SQL Backend of the SharePoint database residing on C-SQL. This worked fine.

SQL Server was installed with the domain administrator account and SharePoint with an account called 'visi' that has domain administrator privileges.

SSRS on C-SQL was initially installed as a native database. I changed this to a SharePoint integrated database with all authentications done as the visi user. Report server url was set to the normal http://C-SQL:80/ReportServer/.

On the SharePoint central administration site under General Application Settings -> Reporting Services Integration I filled in the details as required:

  • Sharepoint Server 2010: Reporting Services Integration - 401: Unauthorized

    Hi everybody,

I know - there are lot's of articels, posts, etc.. about configuring Reporting Services in Sharepoint 2010 and I feel like I read them all hundred times at least... but none of them helped me solving my problem.

I have the following Scenario at a customer:

    Servername / Functionality

db01 / MsSQL 2008 R2 server (also contains the ReportServer DB - of course it's type is Sharepoint Integrated)

app01 / Sharepoint 2010 Server (Complete Installation) - used as Indexing Server and running some other Service, Central Administration, Reporting Server

*fe01 / Sharepoint 2010 Server (Complete Installation) - used as Frontend Server

*fe02 / Sharepoint 2010 Server (Complete Installation) - used as Frontend Server

    *member of Windows NLB

I configured Reporting Services Integration in Central Admin and everything worked perfectly correct - no errors - strike!.

But now comes the "funny" part:

If I open a Report on a Sitecollection like http://app01:1234/ the report is getting rendered and presented - yeah!

But if I open a Report on a Sitecollection like http://NLB-URL/ the report throws an error (damn!):

For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors
