Pulling data from SQL tables in a Sharepoint Workflow based on an InfoPath form submission

I'm not sure this is the right forum for this, but here goes:

I'm creating a workflow that kicks off when a user submits an InfoPath form to a form library on a Sharepoint 2007 platform.  The workflow should find the manager of the user that submitted the form from SQL and email that person for approval before the next step is run.  Is this possible in Sharepoint 2007 or is using SQL in a workflow only a feature of Sharepoint 2010?

Thanks in advance

Attachment upload error on browser based InfoPath form

Hello,

I am having an interesting problem with browser based InfoPath forms in SharePoint 2007.  For some reason the file attachment control is not working any more.  It was working fine in July, but now it will not allow file attachments over a few kb.  I tried a 34KB file and I get the error below, a 2KB file works fine.

Infopath 2010 Browser Based Form Vs Infopath 2010 Filler Based Form Issue

I have created a detailed infopath form that is connecting to multiple sharepoint lists, some of which contain thousands of rows and dozens of columns.  To tailor for the data load i have enabled the form to only pull in data as needed and on some of the lists i have created 5 or 6 data connections to the same list, each only looking at a certain set of data, and as you make your way through the form selecting your options, the data is pulled in. If i preview this form from within Infopath or if i launch it using Infopath filler this works great, the data is pulled through in under a second.  However if i then publish the form to the browser and launch it through the browser, it now takes roughly 30 seconds to pull in the data. My question is therefore this,  Is there something i can do to speed up the way the data is pulled in when launched through the browser?  are there transport protocols i can alter or something like that? maybe config in central admin or infopath config? any help would be gratefully appreciated as if i can not get the form to pull the data in fast through the browser then the whole project is a waste of time as my management team will never go for the solution if it is slow and will get slower as more data is added. thanks

UseExplicit property in infopath with form based context

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my infopath form. The context, user of the site mustn't have acces to lists that provision infopath form field. Administrator should have acces to these lists. When i test the useExplicit property of udc file for impersonate the connection to the list i have no problem ( all my account are local account) But when i try to integrate user from FBA, infopath form services don't take care of the UseExplicit property and try connect to the list with the credential of the connected user ( who don't have access to the list since only the user that i use to impersonate the connection have read acces). Here is my UseExplicit property :  <udc:Authentication>    <udc:UseExplicit CredentialType="NTLM">      <udc:UserId>dev\svc-reader</udc:UserId>      <udc:Password>password</udc:Password>    </udc:UseExplicit>  </udc:Authentication>    09/06/2010 15:06:50.46                w3wp.exe (0x09BC)                                      0x1A08 SharePoint Foundation                General

Using InfoPath Repeating Table in Task Edit form

I need to develop an InfoPath Task Edit form. The form will be used for the approval of the expense reports. I want the users to see the content of the expense report directly on the InfoPath form without clicking on the link and viewing it in a separate window.

I wonder if I can stick the expense report data which is a list into the extended properties of the task and then bind it to InfoPath Repeating Table?

Thanks,

-Stan

Adding Controls dynamically in the infopath form - A standard Expense Entry scenario

Hi,

I am having a requirement where I need to create an Expense Report Entry form using Infopath 2010.

1) The form would have pre-defined columns/Controls like Exp.Type(drop-down) , Details , Location, Amount , Curruncy, Date etc..

2) User can enter/update as many line items as possible by clicking Add/Update/Delete for the each line items. So basically its like adding the same row dynamically.

3) When User Submits, I need to capture this data and post it to SAP where I am using SAP web Services.

Can you please suggest if this is possible in InfoPath form ?

If Yes, how can I achieve this dynamic line items functionality in InfoPath

And how can I read the data using the code so that I can Post it to the WebService?

InfoPath Forms : Adding rows dynamically from a SQL table along with a 'Delete' button per row

My requirement is something like this:

In a Task Approval form, I want to have a view which shows all the rows in a particular SQL table (in a infopath repeating table?). Along with each row, there should also be a button, on clicking which the row should disappear from the infopath view table. Do you think InfoPath can handle all this? :)

To summarize:

1. How do I add rows to a table dynamically?

2. Per row, how do I create a button dynamically?

3. How do I remove the row from the view when the button is clicked?

Launch a Repeating Section based on changes in form values

Hello,

What I am trying to do is launch a repeating table based on what the user selects from a drop down box. This is a form I am using for Users to test new applications. If this is the first log in attempt there is no need for a 2nd section but if the user chooses 2 or more I would like the form to automatically launch the next section just like if the user clicked the button to add another repeating section.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Adding custom help to browser based Infopath forms

We are developing a browser-based application with Infopath 2010 forms.  We would like to provide buttons that pop up a separate browser window containing an HTML help page, which would be stored in a SharePoint Wiki.  I understand it is not possible to call JavaScript from a browser form, which was the initial thought.

What other approaches are there for providing custom help in Infopath?

Assign unique permissions to an infopath web based form

Hello All,

I am facing this problem which has become a real pain. Whenever I try to assign permissions or try to perform any operation on an infopath web based form (item). I get the following error:

"Some part of your SQL statement is nested too deeply. Rewrite the query or break it up into smaller queries.."

Now thanks to this bottleneck, I cant perform any action on the forms thats facing the mentioned error. My aim is to assign unique permissions on a form item with this error, if I follow the conventional way (at UI Level) of assigning form permissions i get this error screen and cant move  forward.
