We need a basic knowledge about what is Request & Response objects. The following information may be helpful to all. How beautifully these are handling things occurring in a Page class. Request and Response are the properties of the Page class. The

Web Service that will receive xml request and send xml response

I am trying to create a web service that can do the following functionality:

Request XML

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<Authentication UserName="test" Password="test" MyId="0987">
     <Function>1</Function>
</Authentication>

Response XML - After authenticating request xml from client send them back the following response:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<Response>
   <Test MyId="0987">
       <TestType id="11"></TestType>
       <TestType id="22"></TestType>
   </Test>
</Response>

How can I create web service to do this.

Need help in reading Soap request and response on invoking WCF client assembly

Hi All,   I'm new to WCF and i'm using .Net 3.5. I have created a library from the proxy class generated through svcutil. I'm able to succesfully invoke service methods. I was wondering how to capture the request and response soap xmls so that i could render it on browser. If you have any code piece for this kind of problem please share it with me. Regards, Rahul

The remote server returned an unexpected response: (400) Bad Request ERROR

Hello I have windows application that proccess and reply to user SMS. I use a web service to send and recieve SMS.I have no access to sever and service setting and only add its reference in my application via "add Service Reference". When i call test method i get following error: "The remote server returned an unexpected response: (400) Bad Request" public void TestMethod() { OutputMessage newMessage = new OutputMessage("YYYYYYY", "XXXXXXX", MessagePriority.Medium); for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) { ThreadStart starter = delegate() { AnotherTestMethod(newMessage); }; Thread newthread = new Thread(starter); newthread.Start(); } } private void AnotherTestMethod(OutputMessage messageToSend) { smsSoapClient _client = new smsSoapClient(); _client.Open(); string resultOfdoSendSMSCall = _client.doSendSMS("dpardazesh", "dpardazesh", "XXXXXXXX", "XXXXXXXXX", "SMS Text", true); Regex expression = new Regex("Send OK."); if (expression.IsMatch(resultOfdoSendSMSCall)) { resultOfdoSendSMSCall = resultOfdoSendSMSCall.Replace("Send OK.", string.Empty).Trim(); XDocument XmlDocument = XDocument.Parse(resultOfdoSendSMSCall); var AllMessages = from message in XmlDocument.Elements("

Fetch raw XML for SOAP request and response inside WCF client

Hi,

I've got a basis WinForms test harness that's implementing a WCF client (.NET 3.5) which calls a SOAP web service.  I need to be able to write the HTTP request and response and output the two XML documents so I can load them back into WebBrowser controls on the form.

It looks like the way to accomplish this is to implement a custom IClientMessageInspector and an IEndpointBehavior, apply the behavior to the binding and then do the work of capturing the XML inside AfterReceiveReply and BeforeSendRequest (inside IClientMessageInspector implementation).

So my questions are:

1. This seems like a rather exhaustive process, is there a more straightforward approach to doing this?

2.  If I am on the right path, does anyone have links to related articles/code samples related to this?

3. In what I have coded so far, I am held up trying to get the behaviorExtension to register properly (inside app.config), it looks as if I must register my classes that implement behavior Extenshions in the GAC in order to make use of them, is this true?

Thanks in advance for taking time away to help a fellow developer!

Asp .NET Event Handling between Request and Response

When a request is submitted and the response is recieved and before the page loads with the response, is there a way to control the user to press any key board buttons?

Controling Events between Request and Response

When a client clicks on a button, a request is generated and sent to the server. Server performs appropriate actions, and gives the response to the client, and the client load the response page.  During this process, at the client end, is there a way to restrict the user from pressing any keys. Any events to de-activate user keys?

Thanks in advance.

Accessing response of HttpWebRequest, even when request returns 500 Internal Server Error

Hi,

Hoping someone can point me to a solution, haven't been able to find one yet.

I'm using the standard way for send HttpWebRequest

		webRequest = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create(request.URL);
webRequest.Method = "POST";
webRequest.ContentType = "text/xml";

...

postStream = webRequest.GetRequestStream();
postStream.Write(requestBuffer, 0, requestBuffer.Length);
postStream.Close();
webResponse = (HttpWebResponse)webRequest.GetResponse();
responseStream = webResponse.GetResponseStream();
responseReader = new StreamReader(responseStream);
string response = responseReader.ReadToEnd();

This is all fine, working correctly, no poblems.

However the actual webservice that i'm calling returns a 500 Internal Server Error code for standard faults

HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error
Server:
Content-Type: text/xml; charset=utf-8
Content-Length: 703
Date: Fri, 22 Oct 2010 04:50:48 GMT

<?xml version="1.0" en
coding="UTF-8"?><soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.o

How to get in the request response schema

Hi, I am adding my WCF service in my BizTalk application. I want <sequence> elemenet to come in the generated schemas. But I do not see this. How can I make sure that <sequence> comes in the request response schema. Any pointers ?/

Cannot get response from HTTPS request by a Windows service

When I use a web request to get response from a URL address which is based on SSL.

ServicePointManager.CheckCertificateRevocationList = true;

_AppStart.cshtml: can't get response/request to write/read cookie?

Hi.
currently, I'm setting up an HttpCookie in a "master" page (layout) and check wiehter I need to send the user back to some specific page depending on the value, if it has expired, etc.
Because the master layout page is not the 1st "page" code to process, I can sometime get runtime error because the cookie is already expired.

I thought I would move this part to the _AppStart.cshtml file but I can't get to read/write (Response/Request) the cookie there?

Should I do this in a _PageStart.cshtml in all my folders rather?

Thanks

Adding namespace prefix to web service request & response

Hello all,

I have a simple webservice, "HelloWorld" with one parameter. If I look at the SOAP request generated for this webservice it shows me this:
