Is SQL Server replicated (destination) database replicated by SQL Server Replication fully usable? Meaning it's not just for Disaster Recovery but is fully usable from various say BI / Reporting purposes.
In the essence it is exactly same as other replication engines and the destination database is very much usable and not just offline / single user mode.
I m having sql server 2000 database and 4-5 database is in offline\suspect\Emergency .
I have tried that to take online throgh following step:
EXEC sp_resetstatus 'DBName'
ALTER DATABASE DBName SET EMERGENCY
ALTER DATABASE DBName SET SINGLE_USER WITH ROLLBACK IMMEDIATE
DBCC CheckDB ('DBName')
2. ALTER DATABASE DBName SET MULTI_USER
From this command :
but its not coming online and multiuser then i run this command : UPDATE SYSDATABASES SET STATUS=24 WHERE NAME='DBNAME' and it comes online but whenever sql sever services
get restarted it again goes into suspect mode.
Please help somebody?
save and load RDL/RDLC with Data(offline mode with reportviewer), load RDL/RDLC with saved data in r Hello every one We are new to SSRS. we have a client server application and have reports in crystal report, for each request to report from client we run report in server and then send saved rpt(crystal report file that data is embedded in file ) to client and after that load it to client crystal report viewer. clients can saved report file with data and load it in another time(truly we don't use crystal as report server and our application manage reports ). we plan to use SSRS in our application instead of crystal report(for problems that there are in crystal version and deployment of crystal report packages ). in our scenario we need use RDL without server truly just application use server but client just receive report file and load it to RDL/RDLC ReportViewer and reportviewr run in local mode without communicate with server like crystal previous solution we need clients can save report with data and reload it in another time. we can't find any solution for it. Are there any solution to save RDL/RDLC file with Data and load it again in Reportviewer? Can use *.rdl.data for it? Why there is not any easy way to embed data in Rdl or Rdlc file and reload them with data? Is it a weakness of SSRS and SSRS has any plan t
I have a farm MOSS 2007 with 2 Frontend, 1 Application, 1 Cluster Sql2005.
If i Take offline the Application Server, The SSP services Stop Working? If Yes, can I add a second Application Server Instead of the First one?
I have installed my SharePoint farm environment in an configuration where it is not connected to the internet. When I try to open help by clicking the help button on my site collection I get a classic page cannot be found error. I have tried to install
the help collections again with the hcinstall command, and I have checked that the necessary flags are set under site administration -> Help Settings but no help, it still tries to go online. The help function in Central Admin works fine so it's only on
regular sites I have the issue.
So my question is:
Is the help collections that comes with SharePoint only based on online connection? Or is there a way to make this available offline?
we have an Analysis Server and it is accessible via http and that is all working fine, but if you try to create an offline cube on a PC which is not located in our company network it ends up every time in a failure like "OLE DB Error:...The
specified host is unknown. .; either can not connect to the server..."
Any ideas? It seems so to me that for creating the offline cube, the connection string is broken or something like that...
We have created an offline cube on a network drive from SSAS 2008 and users are able to successfully access this serially using the Excel 2003 cube add-in or Excel 2007, in concert with version 10 driver, but when a user is already connected, the second
attempt to connect will get the message :
Connection to <filename> server, <dbname> database, <cubename> cube failed. OLAP Server error: The following system error occurred: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. ., File system
error: An error occurred while opening the '<filename>' local cube file.
This is regardless of whether users connect specifying read-only and we have found it impossible to connect to a cube if the file has the read-only attribute set.
Is there any way to solve this without users taking copies onto their workstations?
