We're trying to do a restore of a production database onto a test database. As it turns out, the PRODUCTION database is running 9.0.4025 and the test database is running 9.0.4211
Is there any reason why this would not work??? We are getting a"media formatted incorrectly" error message? As far as I know, restoring an "older" version of a database onto a "newer" version should have no impact.
Is it possbile the backup file itself is corrupt? When trying to do a RESTORE WITH HEADERONLY, we also get an error message.
Is there a way to verify/validate the "cleanliness" of the backup file?
