Trouble executing ASP.NET app on 64-bit server

Posted By:      Posted Date: August 28, 2010    Points: 0   Category :.NET Framework

Hi,I have an asp.net webapp that uses some unmanaged code and 3rd party pre-compiled libraries that I am pretty sure are 32-bit.  We developed this on a 32-bit machine with a 32-bit development windows server.  Now we are moving our web site to production where the box has Windows Server 2003 64-bit.  I was getting W3SCV errors about the framework at first:http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b116/dtdono0/DOTNET/ISAPI_002.jpg I followed the instructions on this blog that talks about enabling the 32-bit version of ASP.NET: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894435Now I get a new error and I cannot find any documentation on it.  http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b116/dtdono0/DOTNET/ISAPI_001.jpgI looked up the error code 0x000000c1 and got the following:C:\Err>err 000000c1# for hex 0xc1 / decimal 193 :  SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORRUPTION                       bugcodes.h  SQL_193_severity_15                                           sql_err# The object or column name starting with '%.*ls' is too# long. The maximum length is %d characters.  ERROR_BAD_EXE_FORMAT                                          winerror.h# %1 is not a valid Win32 application.# 3 matches found for "000000c1"This really doesn't tell me much.  Any ideas?

Error while executing a package through SQL Server Agent

Hi All,   I have a ssis package. It has 3 tasks, first task updates a record in Oracle database to set an Indicator to “Y”, second task process SSAS Cube and the third again updates the same record and sets the indicator to “N”. This package has 2 data sources, one is Oracle and the other is Analysis Services. I gave the credentials for the Oracle and use NT Authority for Analysis services.   When I am executing from BIDS package is executing successfully. But when I am calling the job to execute this package its throwing me the error. Trouble With Team Foundation Server/Visual Studio 2010

Hi At work we are 2 guys on the same project. We both program in visual studio 2010. The other guy complains that he don't see my changes. I know this dude have already executed "Get Latest Version", despite that he don't get my changes. Some more information that may be relevant:Each time I've done some changes to the source code on my local computer, when I run the code breakpoints are not triggered. I get a message saying something about mismatch between different version of the source (or something like that, weeks sinece I saw that message). It's a while since I saw that message becasue I've found a work-around: Each time I've done changes tothe source code I do this:- Clean Solution- Rebuild (Release)- Rebuild (Debug) When I've done that I can see my own changes.. But the other guy have trouble with seeing my changes. I'm not sure how to fix it so that he see my changes. I checkin regulary so my changes should be available on the Team Foundation Server. Any help on this would be very helpful

Solution deployment requires executing execadmsvcjobs command on search server to complete deploymen

We have multiple Sharepoint 2007 farms and deploy custom code weekly to the farms. On one o the farms it is required to run stsadm -o execadmsvcjobs on the Search server in the farm in order for solution deployments to complete deploying. These are solution recycles that we are running. This is the only farm this happens on and all farms are identical. In central admin it shows the solution state as deploying. Sql Server Agent stops executing jobs

Hello everyone.  I'm having a problem with the sql server agent occasionally not executing its scheduled jobs, and unless the sql server agent is restarted they will not execute according to their schedule.  I've read many posts on people having problems with running a package manually and then not being able to run it in a job, although that is not my problem since these are jobs that have all run successfully historically, and only until the agent is restarted do they start working again.  It is the strangest thing.....we have many different jobs on this server and all of them will just mysteriously stop being executed.  Two other things of note, the agent and server processes both run on AD accounts, and we receive this error:

SQL Server Scheduled Job 'X' - Status: Failed - Invoked on: 2007-10-27 02:00:00 - Message: The job failed.  Unable to determine if the owner (AD\adacct) of job 'X' has server access (reason: Unable to connect to server - check SQL Server and SQL Server Agent errorlogs).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Trouble with: Linked Server to Oracle using OraOLEDB.ORacle Provider

Hi--

I am running SQL Server 2005 on Win2k3:

Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio      9.00.2047.00
Microsoft Analysis Services Client Tools      2005.090.2047.00
Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC)      2000.086.1830.00 (srv03_sp1_rtm.050324-1447)
Microsoft MSXML      2.6 3.0 4.0 6.0
Microsoft Internet Explorer      6.0.3790.1830
Microsoft .NET Framework      2.0.50727.42
Operating System      5.2.3790

I have the OraOLEDB.Oracle provider installed to the (C:\oraclexe) directory.

I am having problems querying from linked oracle server.  When i setup oracle as a linked server and purposely enter an incorrect password the query i run tells me i have an incorrect password.   So it at least knows that.  when i set the correct password and run a query I get this error:

(i replaced the real server name with "someServer".)

Msg 7399, Level 16, State 1, Line 1

The OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server "SomeServer" reported an error. The provider did not give any information about the error.

Msg 7303, Level 16, State 1, Line 1

Slow performance with SQL Server 2005 executing parameterized queries with LIKE and an aggregate com

We have a slow-performing query and, after some analysis, have narrowed the cause down to using parametrized queries in conjunction with LIKE and aggregate comparisons used in the WHERE clause.  If we use a non-parametrized query (but keep the WHERE clause the same) the query performs much faster and, in fact, executes a different plan.  Using OPTIMIZE FOR UNKNOWN is not an option for us as we are using SQL Server 2005.  Obviously, we'd like to use parametrized queries to prevent SQL injection but the slow perf is unacceptable.  We need the LIKE to support wildcard scenarios.  If we need to we'll use dynamic SQL (scrubbed as much as we can) in lieu of parametrized queries.  We're wondering, however, is there another option that would give us the perf without sacrificing safety?  I can provide a sample database, query, plans, etc. if necessary...I'm assuming SQL Server generates a less efficient plan with the parametrized query as it can't make any assumptions about the parameter values...

Executing SPs through SQL server agent

Hi

I am executing a Sp through SQL server Agent and it is running for ages.

However this same SP was inside a SSIS package and executed using Execute SQL task, and it had finished in quick time.

I am not sure , if there should be any difference because of this ....but would like to get your comments on this ...if this could cause any difference in execution time and performance?

Trouble accessing SQL server data

I am liking the MVC direction and seem to understand the tutorials well.  However, when I add multiple tables into a Model it seems I can only connect to (see) fields in the table with the PKey as the link and only the labels of the tables with FKeys.  Am I missing a simple step?

As an example, I have a Customer table with unique rows on CustomerID and a Customer Address table which allows multiple rows for each CustomerID.  Can I retrieve all of that data with the simple mapped tables or do I need to use SQL views?  If I need the views then I do not understand the purpose of linking the tables in the model to begin with.

Thanks for gracious assistance in advance!

SQL Server CE Trouble with inserting data

I have a function that is intended to copy the data from one SQL CE data table to another SQL CE database. The tables are identical to each other. I confirmed that there is a primary key specified in the target table. I confirmed that there are no errors when I call the data adapter Update command. I confirmed that the target Data table has the rows in it prior to the update. No matter what I try the data tables in the target database never gets any data. What am I doing wrong?
