SOAP Mismatch exception

Posted By:      Posted Date: April 14, 2011    Points: 0   Category :WPF

I had an issue with the webservice execution.

Here is my code and am getting an exception SOAP mismatch Exception at ReadProject() method..

wpSvsProject.Project proj= new wpSvsProject.Project();
proj.Url = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["WebServiceURL"].ToString();
proj.Credentials = CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials;
proj.ProjectDataSet prjDataSet = proj.ReadProject(projGUID, proj.DataStoreEnum.WorkingStore);

My webservice reference url is ....[<add key="WebServiceURL" value="http://server/site/_vti_bin/PSI/Project.asmx?wsdl"/>]

I tried changing the url without '?wsdl' also, but then am getting 401 error (unauthorized error).

Can anyone suggest me on this? Thanks.

Soap exception problem

Hello, I'm having a problem with the web service soap exception that im facing. In my if else statement, the web service keeps on throwing soap exception when name was not found. SoapException was caught A user with the account name test.name could not be found --> User Not Found: Could not load profile data from the database. My question is.. Is it possible to handle that in if else statement? Basically the web service returns profile data (ex. name, age, address, in xml format) What i want is if just like this.. If _result isnot nothing then _str = _result else 'do nothing end if Is that possible?    Ã‚®Â©T½¼

List does not exist (0x82000006) SOAP Exception in SP 2010

I am using a web service call to update an List created on subsite.

I have added a web reference List Service by discovering the services available on the main site.

SOAP response XML Exception

   I am using C#.Net 3.5 to consume a Web Service (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/eutils/soap/v2.0/efetch_seq.wsdl) which has been working for me for years. About a week ago I started getting XML errors (see below for exception details) from the XML deserializer before I can even see the response from the Web Service. I used "snoop" (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms176041.aspx) to look at the XML being returned and it looks fine to me. I can even load that XML using XmlDocument.Load and I get no errors that way. Could .Net have different validation for SOAP than other xml documents? I am guessing that there is something bad happening before "snoop" can get it hands on the XML. Any idea what or what to do about

Every self-respected programmer should include exception handling techniques. Sometimes your application will generate an error. Regardless of who was responsible for this error, the programmer or the user, it is up to the first to include the necessary exception handling techniques to keep his/her program from crashing. The .Net environment provides useful techniques for avoiding disastrous errors such as try-catch statements and user-defined exceptions.

Global Exception Handling with ASP.NET

After your global exception handler has done its work, you'll want to redirect the users of your website to a friendly page that tells them that something has gone wrong, and then provide them with customer support information as well as a link back to your web application's home page.

SQL Server 2005 Try and Catch Exception Handling

I'm pretty excited to see that there is some real error handling for T-SQL code in SQL Server 2005. It's pretty painful to have your wonderfully architected .NET solution tainted by less-than-VBScript error handling for stored procedures in the database. The big difference being the addition of TRY..CATCH blocks. Let's take a look:

reader.getordinal("column_may_not_exist") how to catch the exception?

would any body please help me to catch the exception if the column doesnot exist as my table columns are not static.

sometimes its throwing me indexoutofrange exception as the column doesnot exist

thanks for the help guys

ERROR [HY000] [Informix .NET provider][Informix]Database locale information mismatch

Hi, there is an upgrade to my infimacs server and my web application encounter this error after the infimacs is upgraded.

Below is the information on the server before/after the upgrade.

The web server where the web application hosted is running IBM Informix Connect 2.81. There is no such error before the upgrade is done.

As a developer, i have IBM Informix Client-SDK 2.90 installed on my local pc and debug the page where the read is needed from infimacs but no such error found.

The error come out only when it is hosted on the web server where IBM Informix Connect 2.81 is installed.

I have gone through many articles and it suggest me to set the environement  variable in the server :  DB_LOCALE=en_us.819.

I haven't try this solution but i think that this might not be the best solution.

Is it possible to to to have this settin

Error while using exception handling block el 4.1

Hi Folks,

i am trying to use tyhe exception handling block of Enterprise library 4.1.

I just createda polisy and used IndexOutOfRangeException and added a replace handler and a logging handler to it.

I am using the NotifyRethrow PostHandlingAction to the exception.

During runtime I am getting an exception on the HandleException event, The exception is added below:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

but userDirectoryEntry.invoke("ChangePassword", new object[] { oldpassword, newpassword });

      userDirectoryEntry.CommitChanges works fine.

Any one please tell me the reason behind this.

active directory exception unusual behaviour

.Net Frameword 4 SOAP Web Service

We want to upgrade from VS2005 to VS2010. Before we do that, I would like some clarity about some things.

Can we build typical SOAP webservices with the 4 Framework as I could with 2.0?

Would a WCF Service allow me to have both REST/SOAP services in one application?

Is Framework 4 ONLY for REST services and I need to stick to 3.5 for SOAP?

I downloaded the free Web Developer 2010, but I cannot seem to get anywhere trying to figure this out.

Thanks for any input.

WebControls.TableRow throws exception on Add()

I have the following method to strip hidden and user-specified columns from a gridviewrow and return a tablerow.

    Private Shared Function StripHiddenColumns(ByVal gvRow As GridViewRow, ByVal ColumnsToExclude() As Integer) As TableRow

        Dim row As New TableRow
        Dim i As Integer = 0
            For Each cell As TableCell In gvRow.Cells
                If cell.Visible Then
                    If Not ColumnsToExclude.Contains(i) Then
                    End If
                End If
                i += 1

            Return row
        Catch ex As Exception
            Throw ex
        End Try
    End Function

However, when I run this code and hit the Add method for the TableRow,  I get an InvalidOperationException stating the Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute.  I've gotten this exception before, but usually it's because I'm attempting to modify a table that is databound.  This particular one is not, i am creating it.  Can anyone offer any insight?

Thanks in advance.
