I have a selft made assembly installed into the GAC. The development solution constists of 2 projects. One for the assembly to develop and the other is a test project which references the assembly project.
Problem: When I want to change something in the assembly project, e.g. I add one parameter to a signature of a method and try to test it by running the test project, I get a run time error telling me that the method I want to test with one more
parameter is not found.
I need to uninstall the assembly from the GAC and recompile the solution to make the test project work. Obviously, my test project references the assembly in the GAC although I set the reference to the assembly project and the object browser also showed
the new method with one more parameter.
Question: How to set the reference from the test project to the assembly project so that I don't have to uninstall the old version assembly from the GAC each time I want to test/change the assembly? Maybe an entry in the app.config of the test project helps?
