(using vb.net 2008)
I'm getting multiple compile errors that look like:
"Invalid Resx file. Could not load type Toolbox.Entities.Misc+BaseUnit, Toolbox, Version=126.96.36.199, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null which is used in the .RESX file. Ensure that the necessary references have been added to your project. Line 147,
The type mentioned is a serializable class defined inside my project. The Resx file is for a windows form that uses one of my custom controls, and this control has a property of the aforementioned serializable type. The file does not
appear to have any obvious structural errors, XML-wise.
The last new thing I started doing was manually updating the AssemblyVersion in the AssemblyInfo.vb file, to match the published ClickOnce version. This is because I want the program to reference the correct version even in debug mode.
The Version mentioned in the error (188.8.131.52) does not match the the lastest assembly version. So (and I am not an expert on these matters at all) I'm guessing that maybe the assembly version is referenced when serializing an object,
and somehow the version is not getting updated when constructing the Resx files for the forms?
I have tried building and rebuilding and that has not solved anything.&nbs
