Component-based software is vulnerable to attack. Large numbers of DLLs that are not tightly controlled are at the heart of the problem. Code access security in the Common Language Runtime of the Microsoft .NET Framework addresses this common security hole. In this model, the CLR acts as the traffic cop to assemblies, keeping track of where they came from and what security restraints should be placed on them. Another way the .NET Framework addresses security is by providing preexisting classes which have built-in security. These are the classes that are invoked in .NET when performing risky operations such as reading and writing files, displaying dialog boxes, and so on. Of course, if a component calls unmanaged code, it can bypass code access security measures. This article covers these and other security issues.

I am upgrading from asp1.1 to 2.0
I use collection classes to sort data (e.g in datagrids etc)
I am trying to pick data from the database through data access layer and use those values in different text boxes on the page.Basically on a click on the form, modal popup is planned to read the database and put the values into different text boxes which can be latter changed/ updated.
What I am unable to do is accessing those values on the form itself progamatically. I will be thankful for any ideas and help.
My data access component is as follows:
new SqlParameter ("@reg_id", SqlDbType.Int ));"@reg_id"].Value=reg_id;try
We are experiencing an access violation in the .NET 4.0 runtime, in a piece of code that uses NHibernate heavily. None of our own code interops with native code directly, nor does the 3rd party code we are using (to the best of our knowledge). We cannot
identify the memory pattern that is appears to be corrupting the GC heap, and we don't know whether the problem is in the GC itself or in some other piece of code that is corrupting it.
I've included below the stack trace of the offending thread, and the list of loaded modules.
We need some help debugging this issue. What should we do next?

I am confused as i have setup values for the filter criteria for company as 'JTWO' & 'STOC' in design mode of report builder however when i access the report from report manager the values that prompted @ runtime are AARFT05F and ARRTUEID'.
any reason why report builder should change the filter criteria @ runtime.
I have created a Trial balance report using report builder and have setup runtime filter parameters for GL description. I would like to populate runtime filter parameter with values from the GL master table (GL00100) enableing users
to select values from the drop down list.
How can i acheive this task?

I am using the MsiEnumRelatedProducts function and according to all the articles I should be getting text return values such as:
But I am only getting numbers returned from the function. I assume I need to use some Enum but I cannot find any example anywhere. I have looked at this article:
But there is no explanation of how to actually get those text return values back?
From within a custom modelBinder (derived from DefaultModelBinder), how do I access the existing values of properties in the model into which the new values are being injected?
Thanks in advance for your help!
I want to be able to control access to photos and PDF documents at run time.
My site sells plans for decks, porches, sheds, etc.
I want users to be able to download the photos and documents as soon as they pay for them instead of having to wait for me to email the items to them.
What's the best way to do this? I am using VB.net, SQL Server, and ASP.net.
I am entry level to lower-middle in my programming skills, but can usually follow along.
Thanks in advance for any help.
My problem is on load I initialise a new thread. This thread create a new control then tries to add the control to a stackapnel and the error I receive is -
The calling thread cannot access this object because a different thread owns it.

Insert NULL values into Integer column in Access 2007 tables hi there:
My source data is below and it's in CSV format
My destination is a Number column in a 2007 access table and the required property is set to NO
First question :
I used a Data conversion task in DFT to convert [DT_STR] to Integer as SSIS seems to default the source as DT_STR type. However, SSIS keeps complaining that
"The conversion returned status value 2 and status text "The value could not be converted because of a potential loss of data."
I know that's because of those NULL values. how to solve this issue?

I have a view to create an "Instruction". I need to enter InstructionName, Description, and few Attributes to it. The number of attributes is determined at runtime. When "more attributes" is clicked I replicate a div which contains AttributeId(Dropdown) and AttributeValue(Textbox). The isntruction details are entered in Instruction table and the attribute details are entered in InstructionAttribute table. The definition for Create view is <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Site.Master"
