DynamicArgumentDialog does not update content after initial call to ShowDialog

Posted By:      Posted Date: April 14, 2011    Points: 0   Category :JQuery

In my custom activity designer I display the DynamicArgumentDialog as follows:

ModelItemDicationary mi = this.ModelItem.Properties["Arguments"].Dictionary;
DynamicArgumentDialog.ShowDialog(this.ModelItem, mi, Context, this.ModelItem.View, options);

Between calls to this code the contents of the Arguments property change - they are modified in the designer class and I can see the modified contents being passed through in the ShowDialog call. However, the DynamicArgumentDialog always shows the contents of the dictionary upon the first call to ShowDialog. The contents seem to be cached somewhere? How do I get the dialog to always show the latest dictionary contents?

C# WPF ListView: ListViewItem content will not update?

I am having a problem updating a listview item which I have bindings set. Here is my XAML code and behind code. Also, the DownloadProgress and DownloadSize do not update but when I debug I see the changes made under the DownloadProgressChanged delegate: mtitem.dlbtn.MouseLeftButtonUp += delegate { MTDLItem dlitem = new MTDLItem(); dlitem.DownloadName = mtitem.tbmusicname.Text; dlitem.DownloadProgress = 0; dlitem.DownloadSize = ""; WebClient wc = new WebClient(); Uri webaddress = new Uri(mtitem.MusicLink); if (mtitem.Group == "5") { } else { string songtitle = mtitem.tbmusicname.Text + @".mp3"; string fixtitle = songtitle.Replace("\\", ""); if (Properties.Settings.Default.CopyRightMessage == false) { if (System.Windows.Forms.MessageBox.Show("GINtech Systems is not responsible for user applications of copyrighted music which may be in violation of existing local, state, or federal laws.", "MusicTuner Disclaimer", System.Windows.Forms.MessageBoxButtons.OKCancel, System.Windows.Forms.MessageBoxIcon.Exclamation) == System.Windows.F

Client Object Model : Transactional update of list and content types

I am using Silverlight client object model to code against Sharepoint. Essentially, what I want is that when a user clicks a button, An item needs to be added to a list and also a new content type has to be created. button1_click() { //1. Create an item in a list. //2.  Create a new content type. } Also this should be transactional:  only if item is added should the content type be added too, otherwise roll back both. (and vice-versa). My understanding of client object model is that we at the core we are talking to Sharepoint WCF services. So if I say, using(TransactionScope scope = new TransactionScope()) { ClientContext.ExecuteQueryAsync(); scope.Complete(); } can I assume that the updation will be transactional??

Problem with Update of Sharepoint Taxonomy Fields in custom developed Content Types

Dear all, we developed an solution on sharepoint 2010 for one of our customers with custom lists and content types with fields from the managed meta data store. As recommended we developed everything in features & solutions so that easy deployment is possible. Adding metadata to the termstore seems to work without problems, but today we stepped over an confusing issue: Our customer changed the default label of an term in the metadata term store, but the label did not change in listviews and detailviews of items in the specific sitecollection. In editview we see the correct label. After searching a while we discovered the connection between the sitecollection and the term store, the hidden Taxonomylist (/Lists/TaxonomyHiddenList/AllItems.aspx) in the sitecollection, which seems to map the terms. After testing we discovered that the term/label did also not change in the hidden taxonomy list. The Timerjob “Taxonomy Update Scheduler“ is running hourly with success and we also tried to start the job manually, but the label did not change in the hidden list. Also there are no errors in the logfiles in verbose mode. We also tested to create a managed metadata field manually, put it in a list and after that, changed the label. For whatever reason the update of labels on manually created fields works without a problem. Our lists, content types etc get created pr

Approval Workflow does not update the Content Approval status if started automatically

Hi,

I’m using a simple Approval Workflow associated with Content Approval on site pages. It works fine when I set it to be started manually (by using Allow this workflow to be manually started by an authenticated user with Edit Item permissions  option) and on the completion of the workflow the Content Approval status is updated accordingly. But when I set it to be started automatically (by using Start this workflow when a new item is created  / Start this workflow when an item is changed options), it does not updates the Content Approval status. Note that I’ve set the Update the approval status after the workflow is completed (use this workflow to control content approval) option to true.

Update div content via ajax according to tab selected. Track the url

dear experts,
I have one design question that i have stumbles on:
 -> I am using asp.net 3.5 + AJAX
 -> I have 4 tabs on my homepage and a content part. I want
    to update the content div according to which tab is selected.

How can you use javascript to call a SliderExtender (textbox) to update its value?

I am trying to develop two step size buttons + and -  so that when you click either one, the AJAX SliderExtender will magically move itself by one.

I have tried implementing the following functions:

document.getElementById ("Slider1_BoundControl").value = 5;
document.getElementById ("Slider1").value =5;

here's what happens, I see that the BoundControl textbox works and it gets updated to 5.  However, the slider still does not update to its new position.  When the slider moves, a postback will occur.

The Slider1 is the textbox that  is the targetID to SliderExtender1 .  The boundcontrolID is Slider1_BoundControl (textbox)

Anyone know ? thanks

refresh update panel content with new css styles

Ok, I was working on this last week and took a break from it to 'regroup' and start over.

Here is what I'm trying to accomplish.

1. have  a web form with dropdowns to allow the user to select font sizes, colors, background image, etc.

2. I want to the form to be updated with the new styles in an update panel.

3. Once the user clicks the apply button, I want the updatepanel to refresh with the new styles.

I tried this by creating an css on the fly, but the updatepanel wasn't picking up the new css without doing a full page refresh, (which we don't want to do).

I only want the updatepanel refresh and either use inline styles, a <style> on the web form etc,

any suggestions or recommendations on how to accomplish something like this?

Unable to Manage Content Files During Program Update/Redeployment

I am attempting to include new versions of my Content Files with newer versions of the application. The initial install works as expected and further changes to the program code (Primary Output) update as expected when adjusting the AssemblyVersion.

My problem is that I have not had any success updating or affecting the Content Files placed during the initial install. Currently, I include two different SQL Server 2008 database files (.mdf). My goal is to have program updates replace ONE of the database files while leaving the other one unaffected.

My Research (sorry, I don't have specific links that I have used already)

I have looked around on Google and MSDN trying to find the procedure to manage these Content Files. The closest level of information I found was a comparison that the installer would use on the Last Updated Date of the "new" file and the "old" file. I attempted to manipulate this by changing the clock but neither database file was changed on the update.

It seems this would be handled easily if there were a File Version associated with the database files, but I haven't found any properties or web searches that indicate this.

My Question How do I manipulate specific Content Files to be included with a program update/redeplo

vb.net call a native c++ dll in 32 bit, I want to update it to 64 bit, how do I do this, I'm having

I have a vb.net program that calls a native c++ dll, 32bit.  Currently it works great.
My question is I want to upgrade it to 64 bit.
How do I do this?
My attempts trying to set the Configuration manager have been unsuccesful.  I get a runtime error when the vb.net tries to call the dll, saying the dll is in the wrong format.
I've tried various combinations of anycpu, x64, etc.   I'm not doing something right.
Any help or whitepaper etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Publish does not update ASPNETDB.MDF content

Does the publish operation in Visual Studio push ASPNETDB.mdf or is it simply created on startup? I could have sworn I was able to login using one of the original users I created during development (implying it was pushing the data) and the date stamp on the database is always updated. However, none of the users added subsequently ever show up after a publish operation.

As a corollary, does this mean my application database content will also fail to push? In other words, any lookups or seed data will have to be added in a separate step? There is a separate SQL tab in the publish configuration, but that's not for "integrated" databases such as the SQLEXPRESS hosted ASPNETDB.mdf or an EF model database integrated with your application.
