BizTalk Server is an excellent platform for automating B2B and EAI workflows. Process-driven workflows send messages between machines and access data. Until now, such processes were very difficult to automate, but with the introduction of Human Workflow Services in BizTalk Server 2004, this class of workflow automation is a very real possibility. This article explains it all.

I want to develop sequential workflow using visual studio 2005. I have development server with Windows Server 2003 x86 installed.
Could anyone advise will i need to install Sharepoint first to have workflow feature in visual studio.
Also what all extension component i need to install to develop Sequential Workflow for Sharepoint 2007 document library.
I would like to ask if VS2008 Standard edition support the project type of SharePoint2007 sequential workflow?
I have a VS2008 Professional edition and it is Ok to create SharePoint2007 sequential workflow project and deply to MOSS2007 successfully.
Is it possible in a VS2008 Standard edition?
Thanks in advance.
I've got a problem of creating Sharepoint 2007 Sequential Workflow via Visual Studio 2008.
I have a Visual Studio 2008 on my machine which is not the server machine (Window XP) and a server which has SharePoint Server. I had been assigned task to work on Sharepoint Workflow. So, I have decided to
create a project on my Visual Studio 2008, Sharepoint 2007 Sequential Workflow. But, I got the problem down here which blocked me.
"32-bit version of SharePoint Server is not installed. Please install a 32-bit version of SharePoint Server"
and following error in other system:
"Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SharePoint, Version=184.108.40.206, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies"
- I am also not allowed to install Visual Studio 2008 on the server.
- I could not install Sharepoint Service 3.0 or SharePoint Server on my machine.
I hope you some body could help me with this matter.
I have a requirement where i need to build a visual studio for sharepoint workflow where i can send email from different address as we have on the code plex like this..
http://spdactivities.codeplex.com/(Send Email Extended - Enhaced version of the OOTB activity. Allows you to specify the sender. Also does not break links in body.)

Hi Every one !!
I am trying to send copy of a document for multiple directors at my client for their approval.
The director can approve the document at the same time.
Hence, I would like to know how to create a task to send emails for multiple people at the same time from a sharepoint workflow using visual studio 2008.
I see there is a parallel activity. But it gives me only 2 paths ( means would be able to send only for 2 users )
If creating a separate task to send emails for each user is an inefficient way, please let me know if there is another good way of sending emails to multiple users.
I have couple of question to experts here in sharepoint.
I created a custom list & given add, view anonymous access in our intranet site.
then i went to our public site & submitted the item i get error saying
" An unexpected error has occured" instead of showing the allitem.aspx for custom list.
But item is submitted in sharepoint custom list.
i collected following infomation in the event log
General 8nca Verbose Application error when access /testsite/Lists/test/NewForm.aspx, Error=Server Out Of

here is my feature xml (inside VS 2010)
As I understand it, when visual studio 'compiles' a workflow what this really means is that it creates a stub class with the necessary properties on and it creates the XAML file as a resource and it then creates some static methods for loading and compiling
this resource at runtime.
My question based on this is how do I truly compile it? So that it is compiled into IL as if I had written the workflow in code? Instead of embedding the XAML as a resource and compiling at run time?
I need to create a simple workflow using Visual Studio 2010.
Workflow having following activities:
1. Create a task assign to workflow initiator. This task have one dropdown field with two choice (Approved,Rejected).
2. Wait for the task change.
3. In Task edit form, only title and custom drop-down field are visible. User need to select from one of the choice and complete the task.
