How to hide top or bottom buttons on upload page

Posted By:      Posted Date: April 14, 2011    Points: 0   Category :C#

We are on a project with MOSS 2007, and our client request that to remove one of the bottons on top or bottom on file upload page.  The upload page displays check in and cancel button on top and bottom twice.

I would like to knwo if there is a way to hide check in and cancel button on upload page either on top or bottom.

How to hide ribbon buttons in a publishing webpart page?

I'm trying to hide some ribbon buttons from a publishing web part page(a page thats url ends with: /pages/default.aspx), and i just can't seem to do it.

I created a feature with custom actions to hide the buttons but it doesn't work for publishing web part pages.

Can someone give me a working example on how to hide the Make Homepage button from a webpartpage?

Here is the code i used that's currently not working, in 3 different formats, neither of them works for me:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

Programmatically Hide Master Pages from Site Master Page Settings page?

I know there is a field you can check when you edit the properties of a Master Page in the Master Page Gallery to set a Master Page to hidden but ... can anyone think of a way to programmatically hide specific Master Pages from the Site Master Page Settings page?

Maybe this should be two questions:

  1. How do I programmatically access a Master Page in a Master Page Gallery?
  2. Is there a property that can be set that will hide the page from the Site Master Page Settings page?

Create buttons for "new item" which create a new page of a specific content type

We have a Pages library (wiki) which supports a few content types (and page layout associated). We want to enable users to click a button for example of "new custom enterprise wiki page" - so a new page of content type article will be open in edit mode. Can someone help how to develop? (it has to mimic the behavior that happens when user creates new page from the Ribbon or Site actions and has to choose the content type, it also has to keep the new page in edit mode and not just create it).

How to hide the summary page of Web Services?

Hi there, a while ago I came across a way to hide the summary page of Web Services. I think it's an attribute that I can set for the entire web service interface, but I couldn't find it anymore. Does anyone know how it's done? For example, if I implemented a web service interface at using foobar.asmx, if I access foobar.asmx directly, I will see a summary page that tells me about all the webmethods available, etc. How do I prevent that page from being displayed? Thanks,- K.

RDLC - blank space at the bottom of the page

We have designed RDLC having tables and binding dynamic data to the tables, so that we can export it to PDF.  While binding the data to the table,  if the cell content which we are binding to the table row is large and doesn't have enough space to fit in the page, then the table row is moved to next page and because of this we are able to see blank space at the bottom of the previous page. For example, if there is a table in a page with 3 rows, if the 3rd row is huge and cannot fit into the the same page with other rows; the 3rd row is moved to the 2nd page.  There is huge space after the first 2 rows in the first page because of this. ive tried resizing the details section but it didn work. Any other solution?

MOSS Upload Attachment to List Item 404 page not found

Hi, when some users upload an attachment to a list they receive a 404 Page not found error when they attempt to save the record (not at upload). Other users do not experience this. I have amended permissions and this had no effect and cannot identify a pattern. Does anyone have any ideas?

Using Wizard To Pass Parameters From Page With No Buttons?

I'll start out by saying that I am kind of new to the Wizard control.  What drew me to it, was the fact I didn't need to pass variables between pages with the traditional methods.  Now I am faced with a situation where I may have to use those methods. On Step 2, I have a handful of LinkButtons that look similar to this... <asp:LinkButton ID="LinkButton113" CssClass="ListingItem" OnClick="boxChanger" runat="server" Text="Tree Services">Tree Services</asp:LinkButton> The sub boxChanger is this... Sub boxChanger(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Dim s As LinkButton = CType(sender, LinkButton) Dim hd1 As HiddenField hd1 = CType(TemplatedWizardStep2.ContentTemplateContainer.FindControl("hdLinkItem"), HiddenField) hd1.Value = s.Text Wizard1.ActiveStepIndex = 2 End Sub I figured I could hide the item in a hidden field control before transfering over to the next page by changing the activestepindex.  That's not the case.  The first trip through the steps, I never retrieve the value in Step 3 from the hiddenfield.  However, if I called boxChanger to get to Step 3, use the previous button (buttons are visible on Step 3) to change index back to Step 2, then c

Upload large files from a web page

I am trying to figure out a solution to upload large files under a web page. I know WCF + Streaming is a proper solution for large file transfers, but I am not sure how to get the WCF client implemented under ASP.NET. Here is the link: http://mark-csharp.blogspot.com/2009/01/wcf-file-transfer-streaming-chunking.html Please advice if you have any solution.   Besides, is there anyway I could implement a progress bar showing the upload progress while the file is being uploaded, and voiding page timeout?

GridView go to top of page when page is changed using bottom pager

I have a grid view where the user can change pages at either the top or the bottom of the grid view.

I want the view to go back to the top whenever a user changes the page, whether they are changing from the top or the bottom.  I've tried using anchors and javascript to achieve this but it does not work.  The javascript is executed and the user is taken to the top of the gridview, this can be seen by placing an alert after the javascript to change the view.  But the last thing that happens on the page change is that the window is returned to it's previous position (the bottom of the page).  Is there any way of doing this?

Page Layout and Text Layout Buttons Disabled on Ribbon

I am trying to create a publish site in Sharepoint 2010, and I am using the Ribbon control.  Currently, I am having trouble adding and changing content on my site, due to both the Page Layout and Text Layout buttons being disabled.  I have been trying to figure out what security or feature needs to be active to get these enabled again.  Any help would be appreciated.
