A theme with the name "THEMENAME 1011" and version already exists on the server.

Posted By:      Posted Date: April 14, 2011    Points: 0   Category :C#

I am working with a custom theme packed in a feature as part of a solution and I keep getting this error message. I have tried deleting the _them folder and setting unique codes in the inf file and it hasn't worked. Most importantly, I like to understand what causes this problem and how I can prevent it.

SQL Server CE: New Version Lets You Store and Update Data on Handheld Devices

Handheld device users need to be able to synchronize with a main data store when it's convenient and, preferably, when the back-end database server isn't busy. SQL Server 2000 Windows CE Edition allows you to build a traveling data store that can be displayed and run on a variety of devices. SQL Server CE supports a subset of the full SQL Server package, and can be used as a standalone server or in tandem with SWL Server and IIS. The architecture of SQL Server CE, along with data manipulation, synchronization, and connectivity issues, are discussed in this article. Topics such as making your data public, choosing the right type of replication, and handling errors are also covered.

I would like to know how to properly uninstall SQL Server 2008 trial version altogether.

SQL Server 2005: Install reporting services - which version?

Hello - I installed SQL Server 2005 as part of an SBS2008 install. I need to install reporting services, but now I'm having trouble identifying which version (X64 or X86) I'm running. Is there an easy way of figuring out which installation disk I need to insert for SQL Server 2005? Thanks, Nick.

SQL Server 2008 R2 deploying any version of sharepoint results in extremly slow DB creation

Hello, When installing any version of Sharepoint(2007,2010) during the "Creating Configuration Database" Step it takes over 10 hours to complete.  Then creating a web app takes just as long. and the sites are extreemply slow.  Environment: 1) DB Server - SQL Server 2008 R2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 2) Webserver - to host Sharepoint 2010 on Windows Server 2008 R2 The Servers are on the same network and running with lots of horsepower, disk and memory.  Are there any know issues with this and should we install Cummulative Update 3? Maybe that has a fix.  We exhausted all our options and need justification to apply the CU3 hotfix(s). Thanks for your help.

Error - The evaluation period for this version of SharePoint Portal Server has Expired

I am using SharePoint Portal Server 2003 and in the app log I'm seeing this error "The evaluation period for this version of SharePoint Portal Server has Expired" which I believe is causing the search service to not work and I can no longer sign in to the SP central admin console. While I did not perform the install myself it has been running for over a year and according to MS the SP PS 2003 eval was only 120 days so I assume the full version was installed.  Any idea's? There are a couple more errors in the event log but I assume they are symptoms and not causes. Why is that I am not able to create login? Error:Server Prindipal 'ms\**** already exists

The SQL Server failover cluster instance name 'Server02' already exists as a clustered resource. S

Hello, I have a node of 2 servers of Win 2008 R2 Enterprise and trying to install a 2nd instance in a SQL 2008 R2 Cluster. I had SQL_INSTANCE2 previously installed that I removed from the two nodes. Now when I attempt to install it again from scratch, in setup GUI where I specify the SQL Server Network Name and enter the previously entered name "Server02", I get a failure in the setup with the following error message: "The SQL Server failover cluster instance name 'Server02' already exists as a clustered resource. Specify a different failover cluster instance name." How do I fix this problem, I don't want to enter a new name like "Server03" in order to proceed with the setup, because when I do enter "Server03" the setup does continue without an error message. So what am I missing? Do I have to ask the DNS administrator to see if there's an A record for "Server03" and have him delete it so that the setup works? Or the fix is by doing something else? I would appreciate any help. Thank you

Cannot Restore Backup from Sharepoint Server 2007 to Sharepoint Server 2010 Trial Version

After installing the trial version of Sharepointn 2010 I wanted to restore my Sharepoint 2007 sites to it but received the following error:  "The site collection could not be restored. If this problem persists, please make sure the content databases are available and have sufficient free space." I went on to create a new content database in sharepoint 2010 but it still did not work. The old database i.e the one used by the sharepoint 2007 server is SQL 2005. During the installation of the sharepoint 2010 version I selected SQl Server Express for the database. Is there any specifics for migrating from MOSS 2007 to sharepoint 2010? Thanks for helping

Forum FAQ: How can I degrade a SQL Server database from a higher version to a lower one?

Symptom Many times we are asked if it is possible to degrade a SQL Server database from a higher version to a lower one due to the business needs of data migration.  However, it looks that Microsoft SQL Server doesn’t support degrading a SQL Server database from a higher version to a lower version by using the Copy Database Wizard or the detach and attach methods.    Solution Yes, degrading a SQL Server database is not supported, but you can use a flexible workaround to resolve this issue. You can use SQL Server Management Studio to first generate scripts for a lower version and then use Data Import/Export Wizard to transfer data. For example, if you want to degrade a SQL Server 2008 database to SQL Server 2005, you can follow the steps below: 1.  Open the SQL Server 2008 database in SQL Server Management Studio 2008. 2.  Right click the database name in the Object Explorer and select "Tasks Generate Scripts…" 3.  In the Script Wizard dialog box, select the database name and check "Script all objects in the select database". Then click "Next". 4.  Set the "Script for server version" option as SQL Server 2005. 5.  Run the script in SQL Server 2005. 6.  Import data from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2005 by using the SQL Server Import and Export Wizard.   Similarly, you can do

Your version of SQL Server 2008 isn't compatible with this version of Windows

Fresh Win7 Ultimate install. Fresh VS2010 Ultimate install. Now trying to install Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 Management Studio Express. I get a dialog that says, "Your version of SQL Server 2008 isn't compatible with this version of Windows." There is a link provided Click to download the update from the Microsoft Corporation website. That link leads me to the download for SQL Server 2008 Express Edition Service Pack 2 – CTP. And THAT link leads to a VERY scary installer. Is this REALLY what I'm supposed to do? Thanks Eric

Database server version requirements

I have a very simple question but I am not sure in answer. I have to install Sharepoint server 2010 enterprise edition and I put it in farm with sql server 2008 enterprise edition.

My question is which edition of SQL server 2008 are compatibile for Sharepoint 2010 enteprise edition. If I choose SQL server 2008 Standard edition is there any limitation about services and features in Sharepoint. (currently we use performance point services for reporting).

Thanks in advance.
