Adding a custom Label on each Survey page

Hi, I created a Survey with 10 questions (Yes/No choices).  The first 5 questions are related to a specific topic and the last 5 ones to another topic.  Thus, each set of 5 questions is separated by a Page Separator.  What I'd like to do is to display a custom "Label" for each set of questions.  For example, the first set would be "2010 courses" and the second one would be "2011 courses".  I think this should be done using SP Designer but I'm not sure how. Thanks.

C# button to redirect user to a custom newform sharepoint page

Hi,

I want to place a button in my C# web part  that will take the user to a new custom NewForm.aspx page I created.   I'm assuming this is straightforward but I can't find an example of the onClick event.  Can someone please assist?

Click on document and Redirect to a custom aspx page.

Hi all

I have created a document library and uploading files in it.

when i click on any document it is opened at client side for example in sharepoint designer.

I want to redirect to a custom aspx page when user clicks on any document rather than opening at client side.

Is it possible?

Redirect to a mobile page

Hi please can anyone help? I have a simple website with a home page called defaut.aspx, also I have a page with in this site called mobile.aspx. My question is, bearing in mind that I posses very little knowledge of VB, what code do I need to place in the default.aspx to detect what kind of device someone is using and redirect them to the mobile page (mobile.aspx)? This needs to be quite up-to-date preferably for blackberry and nokia devices?

Thanks

Detecting PPC device on startup page to redirect?

I was wondering (since a search didn't find any posts) if there is a way for my startup page to detect what kind of device (PocketPC or web browser specifically) is loading the page and if it is a PocketPC, then redirect to the mobile pages? I will only be using PocketPC's exclusively as a mobile device.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Apply custom.master to "Site Settings" page?

I'm using a custom.master page, which is applied to almost all pages available to READ users.

However, I'd like to apply it to the Search, Site Settings, and View All Site Content pages.

I'm not sure where this would be applied.

Guidance much appreciated. Thanks!

Sharepoint 2007 - Wiki site - New Pages Not Inheriting Custom Master Page

I am working on a SP site (MOSS not WSS) which is heavily customised away from the OOTB layout. I need to create a Wiki site, which was going well - I've created a master page which displays the miniconsole (this was not visible with our customised layout), and made it the default master page for the site. This has been applied to the two standard pages that come with the Wiki site, however when a new page is created, it seems to inherit the default.master, rather than my custom master page - thus not showing the miniconsole.

When I have created a new page, I am able to use SharePoint Designer to attach my custom master page to it, which works perfectly, however this will not be a viable option going forward as end-users create their new wiki pages.

How can I get the new pages to inherit my master page when they are created?

Adding a custom ASP page to a sharepoint 3.0 site

I have a custom ASP page that I need to add to my sharepoint 3.0 web site.  I created a virtual directory under my website and placed the ASP file.  When I link to the ASP file, I get a 404 page not found.  To make sure I had the correct URL path, I created a test html file and placed in the same virtual directory and linked to it just fine.  I think it has something to do with managed paths and sharepoint trying to control this new ASP content.  I cannot figure out how to exclude this content from managed paths.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue so I can run this custom ASP file under sharepoint 3.0?

Thanks

QueryEx (Search) results and Custom Page Index

Hi All,

I done a web part which allow the user to query the search.asmx. It return the result fine against which I apply some xslt. However I need a mean to create a Page index. I only return the result based on a range defined in the query.

I need somehow to obtain the number of result the search is returning in total against what I only want to display on the screen.

The only way I sort of figure to do that is by first make a search just to obtain the number of result it will return in total and then make a search defining a range.

Has someone done something similar?

How To Conditionally Show ListViewByQuery On Custom Page

I would like to only show a ListViewByQuery control on a custom page if the query contains some data. Currently if the query returns no data it is still rendered on the page with the comment "There are no items to show in this view".

The following code is my query code:

querySM.ViewFields = "<FieldRef Name='AssignedTo'/>" +
                  "<FieldRef Name='RequestSMReviewerComments' />" +
                  "<FieldRef Name='WorkflowOutcome' />";

        sQueryStr = "<Where>" +
                 "<And>" +
                  "<IsNotNull>" +
                   "<FieldRef Name='RequestSMReviewerComments' />" +
                  "</IsNotNull>" +
                  "<Eq>" +
                   "<FieldRef Name='WorkflowInstanceID' />" +

Where is StartPage.cproj : Custom Start Page Project Template

I am reading through Wrox Professional Visual Studio 2010.
In Chapter 3, there is an example of how to customize and extend the start page.

So he wants you to copy the files from C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\StartPages\<Culture>
into
C:\Users\<user name>\Documents\Visual Studio 10\StartPages. He say you may need to create this because it may not exist by default. So I would just copy the files into:
C:\Documents and Settings\Sam\My Documents\Visual Studio 2010\StartPages and work from there right?

Then he says double click StartPage.csproj to opent the WPF project in Visual Studio 2010.
But StartPage.csproj simply does not exist anywhere.

I have installed Visual Studio 2010 sdk and the Custom Start Page Project which shows up in extension manager.
I just can't figure out how to use it.

I am on Windows XP.

After login redirect to a desired page

Hi,   Just a simple question. After I click login button, I want to page be redirected to display.aspx. How to set up it? Sorry for the silly question.

Issue with custom Redirect PageLayout

Hi, I have duplicated RedirectPageLayout.aspx to create custom redirect page layout. In my custom redirect page layout, i have linked my custom content type.  From my root website, when I try to create redirect page from my custom redirect page layout, in a edit mode it shows Redirect URL control to get the URL to redirect. But from any sub site, when I try to create redirect page from my custom redirect page layout, in a edit mode it doesn't show "Redirect URL" control to get the URL to redirect. Please let me know about how to fix this. or let me know some alternative way to do it. Regards, Prakashwww.aristonsoft.com - .net 3.5 hosting provider in India

How to set the variation root redirect page to ALWAYS go to a preset label?

Hi. I have setup variations and I have 4 labels, SE EN FI DK. This is a public website and I want every visitor to first be directed to the predetermined label, for example SE. This no matter what setting they have in their browser... In Sweden, most people have English as the language in the browser since this gets you better content in most places, but in this case, it gets them the EN label instead of the SE label as default. How can I change this in the best way possible? Are there any easily adaptable solutions available? Like on codeplex? The MSDN way is not to my liking, manually customize every front end or compile my own DLL....Noo, there has to be a better way right? (How to: Customize the Variations Label Control Logic http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms551625.aspx) Appreciate any help you can give me on this.
