I have recenlty started using EF. I have a few views that are part of of my model. However, everytime I attempt to generate the DDL statement to update my database, the views are also included....is there a way to toggle this?
Also, the reason I have views is kind of interesting....the views are actually pulling data from another database (on the same server). I did this to try and create one model -- since EF can not create a model that spans multiple databases. Is there a best/better practice for this? Later this year, I would like to create a service (using WCF) to retrieve the data the views are currently handling. So how would I join this data? I guess using LINQ...but not sure how others handle this.
